Happy anniversary,
Harriet & HRH!!!
The idea that the stories are about wisdom winning over evil, manipulation and exploitation meant a lot to me.

Lynlee – that’s a good thought.
THIS is my moment… hmmm…
Okay – that’s good of you to go to the 31 party. A lot of people around here sell that stuff, too. Ddil got me a purse from them for my birthday.
Have a good day “on the run,”
Twins!
Today, I don’t think I have anything I really have to do, for a change.
Another ta-da for last night: I ironed 25 items of clothing for dh! * sheesh * I just KICK myself for letting it pile up like that, and for how ridiculous it is that someone has enough clothes that it CAN pile up like that and the person is still going about reasonably well-dresssed. * shaking my head *
I/we do have to watch dgs later this afternoon while ds teaches a banjo lesson.
And tonight dh and I will go out to eat – probably just Krystal hamburgers while we listen to football coach’s call-in show. That’s kinda our Thursday night routine.
I definitely do need to get some housework done today.
Sooo glad to see
Dee feeling better!!!
Good morning to
Nancy…
blessed…
Norma…
Kathryn… (great pics of you and
Elizabeth!)
(((
MT))) Our doctor is ALWAYS like that. That is one reason dh avoids going so much. We LOVE our doctor – he is the nicest man in the world – and when he is with you in the room, it is like you are the only person in the world. HOWEVER… that means all those other people in the waiting room are just continuing to wait wait wait.
Oh my,
Sadie! The walk of shame. How embarrassing for that person. Should help prevent future occurrences, I guess.
Welcome,
manatee mum!!! So glad you joined us!!!
Hmmm… I see
Harriet is ordering turkey and dressing for Tgiving. I am very much considering making dressing. All right -- everyone can start breathing again -- should have given y'all some sort of warning before making that incredible announcement...
We are NOT having my huge paternal family here; apparently they are gathering at my aunt’s house. Which is only fair, really, b/c she has all but three of the guests in her immediately family, anyway. (Since my group will be with us, and dbro will not be coming home.) Dmom is expected to eat with them, particularly expected to bring her mashed potatoes and macaroni & cheese. (I am going to tell dmom if she wants to avoid the huge gathering, she is welcome to try her luck with us and my experiment...)
I am only preparing for the five of us – dh/me, ds/ddil, plus dgs – plus dmil & possibly dbil. So six people to feed, total.
DH wants me to order a smoked turkey from local bar-b-que restaurant but I would rather have roasted, and suspect dmil would also.
I want to make dressing like dmil always used to. Hers is The Best, dh and I agree… but OH MY GOODNESS… what am I getting myself into??? I think I can, I think I can, I think I can…
Other than that, dh and ds say all we need is mashed potatoes, English peas, rolls, tea, and dessert (which we will probably order, also.) I might add corn.
And if I’m going to cook, I will probably have them over here. Much simpler than packing up and carrying food to dmil’s house.
I figure even if the meal is horrible, they’ll all feel so sorry for me, since it’s my first try, that no one will mind too much.
I need to find a time-table online to figure out how to do this…
