(((Sadie))), In 2010, I had left shoulder PT from the 1st week in Feb. until the last week in Dec. and surgery was 11/9/10. I'd had PT, but had postponements on surgery, due to a root canal infection and dental work, which if surgery was done, the surgeon said the infection could go to the incision area and throughout the body. Later, my shoulder froze, they did a certain shot into the shoulder capsule under radiation under the arm in the armpit area. PT continued, during surgery my surgeon "un-froze" or "thawed" my frozen shoulder. If you get frozen, too, they can do the repair and loosening under anesthetic.

I'm so sorry you need to wait, but I, too, know what it's like to wait- several months- in my case.
I have a computer sign I taped up in a cabinet in the kitchen inside the door, I made during a different surgery in 2005, which states: THIS IS TEMPORARY; THIS WILL PASS! It's still there. It's hard to be patient, it's easy to get frustrated, and it's a journey I don't envy, but I continue to pray for you. I can sleep on the "bad" shoulder now, without too much problem, so things do get better. There are times though, when DH will need to reach into get wet clothes out of the washer and put them in and get them out of the dryer though. It's so amazing what little things pop up, which cause pain and we never think of them, until we're in that situation.
When your surgery's over, PT can be challenging, too, but you just keep up those exercises at home, and you'll recover soon and will breeze through it. Later, as you heal, and ice can be your best friend, you'll be so happy with new "old" things you can do again. It's sort of like a baby learning how to walk. Once it's all behind you, it'll be so much better. You'll realize how important our bodies are (healthy ones) and how wonderful doctors and PT folks, nurses, P. A.'s can be, too. I send you my very best Positive Energies and Prayers, too. The journey might seem a thousand steps up a mountain right now, but hang in there, and you'll be welcoming the walk down the other side, until it's over. I pray you Get Well Soon and that the wait isn't too hard for you. I remember the tears. Good things happened, too, because since it was my left arm affected, I could crochet with the right hand and made nice kitchen sets, hats, etc... for friends and family for Christmas. It was a diversion, as pen palling was, too. Hang in there.....
