Today we cleaned the gutters plugged up a couple of holes where 3 of the hens get out. SO glad to have clean gutters and I raked the front it looks better. New hens are settling in and starting to mix in with the rest of the flock.
The sitting hen is on Rhode Island Red eggs now I guess we will try that again maybe 3rd time is a charm.

Responding to yesterday's page one - I'm so far behind.
Sadie, in the first place I'm so glad you have the plan from the doctor for doing the best by your shoulder, and I know you'll follow instructions well and give your healing a great chance - you are very conscientious! But I also wanted to tell you that I missed just how bad it was and I'm sorry you are having to go through all this and feel the concern. How is your ds' foot?
Nancy, our hens have just started back into lay. Hope your new ones adapt fast and lay well.
Lynlee, I very much enjoyed the 21 points. I even enjoyed the follow up later. Kinda rough language in the writng but self-explanatory reasons. Actually very thought-provoking ideas and 5, 7 and 17 were worth reading several times in my opinion.

ahhhh.... there seems to be a moment's peace in the village tonight.
I have accomplished most of what I wanted to within the hours I had scheduled. I only have about 30 more minutes of pickup work in the office. Once done that will mean EVERY closet, under the sink area and drawers have been de-cluttered in my house. Reminds me for the Flashdance song...What a Feeling
Tomorrow I will put away the Xmas decorations that are still in the livingroom and be done with it all. Then I plan to spend the next few days doing nothing but enjoying my home. It was exactly 5 years ago today that we moved into this home. My how time flies.
Okay...how wonderful to hear that LO won the sweater contest. Hope you were able to take some good pictures.
Lucylee...not missing that grading and frantic end of the semester grading pressure are you. No guilt felt in sitting at home and vegging out.
Snow, Snow...I want snow. Hope when I go home in Feb we are blessed with some while I am there. I will dance and play in it like a child....
Twins.. I have a mushroom/barley casserole I love and make that has been in my family for years. My mom is required to make it every T-day and Xmas. I love the smell of the barley while it cooks.
Off to finish my project. Ho, Ho, Ho...I am so happy to have it done

Hi everyone! I am on the computer at home, so it must be JOB SEARCH time! Yep, gonna do some serious applying as soon as I type this up. Not a particularly restful day today, but fun. DD11 and I made it to church, had lunch in the car on the way to meet some wolves, met the wolves, visited a friend, then dashed back to gather her things, and dropped her off at XDH's house. One of my friend's cats and several of mine did NOT appreciate hands that had petted wolves coming anywhere near them. After DD left, I did several things on my neverending list.
Tonight's must dos: job search of course, deposit checks, filing, update DayRunner, remaining church Christmas cards (4), notes for pet sitter, clean out car. And I guess I should eat sometime too.
Tomorrow's essentials: some emails, take home some stuff from work, meet with pet sitter, job search.
There are many items on the long term pending list, including JOB SEARCH (seeing a trend maybe).
KISS = Keep It Simple So you can live like you're on vacation.
My favorite Kiss lyrics: No need to wait for an invitation. You got to live like you're on vacation.
Wouldn't it be fun to do that?

I wanted to recognize Indiana's b-day today, which is listed on our list of b-days here. I never "met" her, but read of her, here, in the archives, etc... Oh, how I wish I knew her in person! I hope she lives on in everyone's hearts, although she's passed away. ♥
I feel so exhausted, run down, and made a Conga list, to slowly work on and off this week on. I don't want to overdo it.
Am thinking of reading and crocheting. Might write DD a letter, too.
Have a nice Sunday evening, Everyone!

Dishes are mostly cleaned up. There's still a bit of a mess but things are soaking.
Christmas tree is up and decorated. I still have all my pewter ornaments to deal with (about 1.5 dozen of those) and a pile that I need to photograph and get the ok from the kids to give away. There are 2 doz in that pile. Ds's childhood ornaments are all put aside for him when he gets home. Plus a box of plain ornaments that he used to like as a kid.
The second tree is still in the basement, unset up. All its ornaments are on the main tree this year. As you know, we collect ornaments when we travel and we need to stop that - there's really little room left. In fact, I think I've forgotten to put up this year's ornaments - I bought about 4 in my travels.
Dh got the US business cards done. We'll take them with us tomorrow on our border run.

Hi again. It is midnight and I just got my resume and cover letter sent to the appropriate place. Guess I should eat now. I suppose I could have opened the Monday thread, but it definitely feels more like late at night than morning. So much to do this week. I'm going crazy, wanna come?
I am off to do cat care and eat something. See you "tomorrow".
