SHEM for my third post....

-start laundry
-empty dishwasher, clear kitchen counters
-clear kitchen breakfast counter and kitchen table
-brunch? I ate a very light breakfast earlier?
-meds/vitamins

Going to use this as a mostly at home day. Will p/u groceries (or send dkids?) after appt this afternoon. Need to buckle down on writing also.

Kathryn, you had mentioned making tortieres the other day and I had googled to find out exactly what they are. Then this article came up in a genealogy newsletter I receive:

Thanks for the heads up, Twins. I went back and saw that today is a big day for OK. You and your family are definitely in my thoughts and prayers today, and I'm hoping we'll all have something more to celebrate at the end of the day!

Ds is up. QT is done. Dogs have been given some requested attention. They're waiting for dd15 to get up so they can get fed. Off to s2s. . .

Not cuop at this point anyway. I too, googled that, Twins. Sound interesting.

Haven't made it here in a couple of days. Lots of things happening. Yesterday we had our Pastor and his wife for lunch. That went very well and even dsonil chatted for quite some time with the pastor. :) We even waited lunch for them to finish their conversation. Know dd is having a difficult time convincing dsonil to go to dbil/dsil's (ours) Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Usually he goes to his Mom's Christmas afternoon but has already told her he's not coming. So dd told him we'd all been invited to dbil/dsil's Christmas afternoon, "I'm not going. I don't want to be around people". So dd is giving the convincing job to dh. :?

DD and I went to the Magic Kingdom last night for a few hours. Was really quite warm (sorry Northerners). We went on the "Jingle" (Jungle) cruise then went to watch Cinderella's Castle change colors. Looks like a frosted cake almost. Saw the video performance on the castle walls, watched the fireworks and more projections on the castle and came home. It's really nice to be able to go for just a few hours if that's all we want. Did renew our annual passes last night when we got there. Had to be done by next week anyway and we save $70 apiece by doing it on time. Still trying to decide just what to do for dh.

When I finish here will be writing a letter to dh's Dr. up home and tell him what's been going on with him. We'll leave it up to him what he wants dh to do. We're ready to fly dh home if Dr. thinks that's what needs to happen. Say this only because we know there's a special test he wanted dh to have if he continued to have attacks. He's not only had those, but consistently does not feel well. Part of me thinks he'd do better to be up there and able to see his own doctors, but he is ready to go see someone here if need be. He is most certainly not himself.

DD helped me put together some pictures for the Dks and DGKs up north. Packed those & gift cards for everyone and dd put in platters of cookies for both families. She was headed to a Memorial service this morning and took the package to mail it priority. Know it won't get there in time for Christmas but I wasn't about to go to the post office Saturday. I was going to go to Auburndale, about 12 miles from here, when I realized she'll be a couple of blocks away from the main post office. So she took it. Will certainly save me some time.

Washed our sheets and dh helped me get the bed remade so that's done for another week or so. Plan on dividing some time now: 30 minutes in our bedroom; 30 minutes in the office; 30 minutes on Church stuff and 30 minutes on wrapping. Guess that comes to about 2 hours. I can do this. Then it will be time for a rest. Especially since I was awake from 4am on Saturday morning and 3am yesterday. The main part of the house looks spectacular -now if we can keep it that way.

Definitely waiting for news from Okay as well. In my thoughts and prayers. Sure we're all right outside that room -waiting.

WRITE NEW MEDICAL SHEET FOR DH
WRITE SEND CHRISTMAS CARDS -2
WORK IN OUR ROOM 30 MINUTES
GO TO BANK FOR A DEPOSIT (Actually DS borrowed a few G's on Friday, promising to put it back in our account at the Credit Union today -after he was able to collect several back bills. Had to wire part of it from our regular bank & transferred the rest from our savings at the CU. Had to really rush around to get it done before 4 on Friday. Know in the past that collecting debts toward Christmas was always fairly difficult. He had bills owing of over $90,000 -yikes). Good to his word it was back in there by shortly after noon today. Left most of it in our savings up north but needed to but some back in our savings here so B ank Of A merica doesn't start charging us a monthly fee. I'm sure ds wishes that a good junk of that owed was his to keep but overhead rules NOT. ;)
GO TO GROCERY STORE FOR FEW ITEMS

WORK IN OFFICE 30 MINUTES
WORK ON CHURCH REPORTS 30 MINUTES
