OKay, That's a hard decision to make about FB and people who have died. On 1 hand, you'd like to know how their family's doing, that is if family posts on their FB page still for them, but then to get things from their FB page, seems strange, too. I'm not familiar with FB. But it seems letting someone's FB page "go", is like letting memories of them "go",too. On the other hand, if you be-friended them, it'd free up more time, would be less of a concern or stress, too. It's a tough one. :?: I don't know what the right thing to do is. Unfriending somebody after they've died doesn't mean you're not still holding them as a friend in your heart and if you unfriended them, THEY couldn't know.

I worked on my story for awhile longer, but might stop for today and do more tomorrow. I plan to write letters and crochet child hats while the Seahawks play. They're hooked up 2 seismic monitors to the stadium, because the games are so loud with their cheering, it registers on the rector scale. I believe it was a 2 - 3-point earthquake reading last time they did this. Can you imagine working nights, living around the stadium and needing your daily sleep while this game's going on? Not fun! :?

Have a good afternoon, Everyone! :D

Waving to OKay, Nancy, Kathryn, Harriet, Norma, Cowinkie, Lucylee, Helia, Dee, MT and Prayers for Sadie, too! :D

I'm actually getting through a lot of paper in the last couple of days but I've bogged down for now. Perhaps best in smaller doses. Quiet day here, dMacs had PT this morning and dh and I are going to a movie and out for dinner later.

Second time in the last two days I've written and forgotten to post...

Back from the lectures. I'm starving so will go get some lunch now. Dh has had his V8 so isn't hungry at the moment, guess I'll eat by myself.

Got the first of 3 or 4 pieces I still have to write for the annual report finished. Have started the second.

I've got 2 hours this at this point before the next to-do item from the activities list. I really need to exercise at some point too. My hip is very sore - I think from the sandals and heels in the evening as well as the uneven footing on the ship (the ship's motion makes walking hard at times and a lot of side to side motion.) The sea looks a lot angrier right now but I don't think it is much more the the 6' weaves from yesterday, perhaps just the colour change (despite the sun it is steel grey, not blue.)

A BIRD!!!! We are now close enough to land that there are birds in view. Yay!!!!

From a non-yarn-crafter's point of view, is there a pattern with some elasticity out there, which would have slightly gathered style around a child's head with elastic sewn to it inside? Then you could make a larger one but know it would fit - is that dumb? :? Is all yarn crafting supposed to have the elasticity of the knit-type construction built in, and never actually rely on extra inner elastic like a woven fabric would?

thyroid mornings - I take my Armour quick-quick every morning to hurry and get to my waiting time. I keep it in our master bath with Dixie paper small cups to use. My first 3 morning things are : toilet, weigh, thyroid pill. Then after dressing, etc., I do always want my morning pint of water to be the first thing in my tummy anyway (habit of decades, learned from the second of the Fit For Life book series). And I don't particularly chug it, but keep it in the kitchen window, drinking part at a time while so much is going on before school run. Very seldom do I have to think about whether enough time has passed before breakfast. My dr says he's most concerned with the first 30 mins anyway, and if I mess up somewhat in the time frame after that, it's not so bad.

Okay ~ Re: FB friends who have died, my DSis has kept DNiece's account active because friends and family still post there on her birthday and such. On the 2 year anniversary of her death, one of her high school friends put up some photos that I hadn't seen before, which was nice on a sad day.

What you can do is switch their "Following" friend status toggle off. Then those automated things won't show up on your news feed, but you can still access their page if you ever want to post something for family.

Also keep in mind that once you unfriend them, chances are you won't be able to see messages and photos on their page from past years. Lots of people have the security set so only "friends" can see those things. Once you unfriend, there's no way to get back unless a family member has the deceased person's password and email account access.

Following Harriet's question for baby hats, there are some crochet designs that allow a thin ribbon to be threaded through the brim to adjust the size.

Am taking a break while nails dry.

Had lunch (in two places, first a large salad and then a small stir fry and some cookies.)

It was nice on the pool deck so I decided to exercise. Came to the room and got into gym clothes and then changed into swimsuit since dh came back so could watch me in the pool. Stayed in for 30 minutes, not drowning. Which is easier in the salt water pool. Plus my extra fat. I could literally float vertically with almost no leg motion and absolutely no arm motion. Except one leg is strong than the other so I kept spinning slowly in the pool.

Read another chapter of my book and have now showered. Need to dry hair still. Am wearing my dinner clothing (semi formal tonight) so our trivia team will be well dressed (the pianist will be in his tux again, having come from a concert.)

Hi Everyone! Posting without cuop. I hope everyone is well and had a good day!

We just got home from a nice afternoon and evening with my dcousin, her dh, ds and ddil. It has been about 14 years since I've seen d2ndcousin, when my daunt passed away, and it was nice to connect again. First time meeting his dwife and I thought she is a really nice girl.

I was able to get some cleaning done this morning and will finish up tomorrow. Don't know yet whether dfam#2 will be here yet, but we will prepare just in case they come. I would rather be ready and have no company than not be ready and be surprised!

The day started out bright and sunny, then turned cloudy, humid and very windy. Temp was still 75* at 4pm and our dinner music was a thunderstorm.

Skipping off to cuop now.....~~~~~~~

I had posted that today's progress on projects was "to be announced", so here goes:
Huge push to get every bit of Christmas themed decor put away. Seems late that this took until the 11th, but it does still line up with the first week of Focus clean of Entry, so I'm good. This year I spent extra time to do over my card file storage notes, and made new 3x5 corresponding labels on the boxes, too. Noticed which decor items didn't get put out this year, so I may note those in the holiday thread and try to remember to be sure those get out next year.
Wrapped dfil Joe's present, ready for dstepson to take to visit tomorrow.

Smiled at Kathryn's explanation of pool time. " Stayed in for 30 minutes, not drowning. " Good job. Whole vacation sounds delightful. For the first time ever, I saw a mention of the Critics beyond your mentions of them. It was when I was reading about Zumba online. Evidently many cruise lines offer it now.

Dbil came by. Sunny, that's a good point about being ready. I was glad I'd spiffed the front bathroom before he came. Not that he even used it, just that I didn't have to have it on my mind.

Dd told a funny - that she was the only one in her English class, including the 33 year old teacher, who knew who Pa Kettle was when he was referenced in the article they were studying, "Me Talk Pretty One Day". The author wrote, "As an added discomfort, they were all young, attractive, and well dressed, causing me to feel not unlike Pa Kettle trapped backstage after a fashion show." Teacher was surmising that this might be a reference to feeling old, just because of the title, "Pa". So dd was able to jump in and give background info on the movie series and say that she thought the writer meant he felt that he was looked at as comical, and felt clueless about impressing anyone. She says she imagines she sounded excited enough about enjoying the movies that her teacher became interested. I told her she should offer him the loan of one of our DVDs.

HRH and dd shopped a little for groceries. I stayed home to work. They didn't get much done.
