DSon & DDIL are experiencing hot seller market in their part of the world too. They have been trying to buy apartment complexes without success. They have 3 real estate agents working for them (same state but different cities) and all are running into the same thing. Within hours of coming onto the market, they are sold. The last one was 12 hours and it was off the market with a backup offer in case the 1st offer had problems.

Our weather is taking a nose dive on Thursday. However, it shouldn't last long and we will be out of freezing and back in business by Saturday.

Just got off the phone with DD about DGS18 and her teaming up to work here tomorrow. There is an abundance of clean up that needs to be done. A wild guess would be 20 trailer loads of tree limbs need to be hauled off from the pastures. There is definitely enough to keep them busy if they want to work. DD will talk with DGS18 and let us know what they decide.

Tutoring was a LOT of fun! I have an intermediate group, 2 Japanese women and 1 Korean woman. They enjoy talking to each other. A lot.

Dd15 has not thrown up since I left, so that is good. She threw up 5x in 3.5 hours this morning, but maybe the worst is behind her. I've emailed her oboe teacher; she will not be having a lesson.

Dh is pushing to invite another friend from our small group to our weekly Th. dinner crew. In one way, I think it is a good idea - she is a single mom and a grad student and struggling a bit with community here. However, I'd like to wait until after I'm done with my teaching at the moms group. Inviting her means inviting her dd4, who is not the most well-behaved child, and her sister, who is staying with her at the moment. So, it is not as simple as it seems. Dh thinks the sister may have left already. They're nice people - it just means adding 3 more people to the dinner, which means more food, etc. Instead of cooking for and accommodating 9 people every week, we'd be cooking for 12 - well, I guess 11 once the sister leaves. And this friend sometimes hangs around long after others leave. OTOH, dh is willing to help out. He wants to cook the main this week. . . .I need to sit with this for a while. I'm trying to be better about saying "no" when i need to, like to Th. dinner last week. But including her is something I have said I'd like to do. . . Maybe it will be fine. Or maybe we just wait a week or two. . . .

Next:
- finalize menu plan
- finalize groc. list
- eat something so I don't go to the groc. store hungry
- groc. store

Hi Harriet and everyone.

I am from the SHEs board I started with the name Zone. Now I am Rhy. :) Anyone remember me? I'm the one with the nine kids.
I made a move. I left So Cal in July 2013 after living there for 48 years. I am in Idaho now. I love it here.

I have a LONG list of stuff to do. I'll start with just one thing lest overwhelm hits.

Hi Rhy! Welcome!! :) I think you'll find this is a friendly supportive place with lots of practical advice and inspiration. That is a large family, Rhy. Glad you like Idaho! I've only driven across once - but the scenery was gorgeous.

I've finished my lunch, walked to nearby gas station to get gatorade for dd15 to sip, done a couple quick emails, checked on dd15 who seems to be on the mend. She is now up and sitting on the sofa. I've checked some recipes and have a full menu plan and groc. list ready.

GG and dd18 are home from their first day of finals. It sounds like all went well as far as they can tell. They're now settling in for more studying.

Oops! I forgot to feed the ddogs this a.m. It is dd15's chore but she was excused from it this morning.

Next:
- feed ddogs
- groc. store
- put away

Welcome Rhy! I'm glad your posting here.

Helia - glad to hear DD15 is doing better. Hopefully she can give her body some rest while it is recovering.

I'm making baby step progress. The areas that are clean and organized are quick and easy to return to MM. Washer and dryer has been going non-stop getting the laundry caught back up. LO had a nose bled during the night so sheets and mattress protectors are being washed today also.

Lunch was "fried" potatoes, onion chunks, bell peppers and ham chunks. I call it "fried" even though no oil was used in the cast iron skillet.
