A quick good morning to y'all.

I started a cold late Sat night and it became full blown by Sunday. Probably picked it up from the airport or plane. Haven't had a cold in many years so I'm not complaining too much.

Started Cold Ease.... Zinx.. Every two hours along with plenty of fluids and cold meds and I believe it has helped. I don't feel as bad today as the past two. Not up to dancing but at least my teeth, ears and head aren't throbbing.

Will spend the day taking it easy, but at least I can do some laundry and a few other things around the house.

BookSaver, you did a wonderful job of organizing all those files and making copies of treasurer's reports to be included. Now you can hand it over knowing it is as up to date as possible. Then you can be the Treasurer and hopefully be able to enjoy sewing time and your sewing group again, without all the responsibility on your shoulders.

Sleepy but awake. Did 20 on the treadmill and bike plus stretches. I'm really bad at the balance ones, partly due to my size, partly lack of practice. They had me sobbing since I failed so badly at them.

The spare bedroom is almost ready for my cousin's visit. He'll be here until Saturday, unless the weather does unplanned things (possible.) Must remember to dust the keyboard of the piano (it is his grandfather's piano, too, and he plays.) Just realized that he might our grandfather's organ music since he plays the organ as well. I'm really glad he's coming, he is my age and the cousin I'm closest too from my childhood but we haven't seen enough of each other as adults.

Today is hair cut day. Plus we are viewing an apartment. Possibly two (I found another last night reading a local renter's magazine.)

Meals are planned for today. I preach on Sunday so need to start in on that so I'm not writing the sermon on Saturday night.

I have a rather busy day. Pick up chicks a book, is in the used book store. Qt. X s2s x 1st round of hens chores x done.

I agree touch screens are a learning curve.
I need a new pc I am thinking mac because of msf updates etc. SO time consuming. As is pinterest. I have seen p. Allen smith stuff on pinterest I think but watch it on u tube or pbs. But I am not sure.

Getting a chicken/chick supply shopping list done.
I did not sleep all that well my lower back was. Bothering me it is better now.

feels chilly this morning but supposed to be another warm sunny day.

Maybe I'll sit out on the porch in the sunshine today.

Doctor visit went well. Done with sling on March 31st. Hooray!

Also doc said to quit going to PT for now and just do them at home, for two reasons. One is my insurance only pays for 20 visits and it would be better if those visits were used for the strengthening part. Two, she doesn't want me to do the more advanced things they are having me do like try to get my arm behind my back. I haven't healed enough. That's why i hurt so much.

So I'll do stretches and work with my pulley and stick. Feel like I lost my cheering section but DH is going to help me with keeping my form straight.

Dgd called no chicks yet the holiday yesterday may have
effected shipping arrival time.

I watered the hens gathered eggs and rounded up blocks to put water, feed and grit on for the brooder.

Trash truck has been dumped and cans are back in from the curb.

Dee ~ Well, duty/responsibility, plus the selfish wish to not leave an opportunity for anyone to try to give the files back to me "just long enough to finish filling in the gaps." I saw an episode of Bones once where a lab tech kept trying to give someone else a piece of evidence so he could get out of filling out all of the paperwork. No one else would accept custody of the item in the chain of evidence. Now that these files are leaving my house, I do not want them coming back -- I'm removing myself from the chain of custody!

Lilac ~ Thank you for the encouragement. I am stepping up my efforts to phase myself out of all of the extra jobs I've taken on (or been pushed into) for the sewing group board over the past several years. Very soon I will only have to concern myself with the bookkeeping and financial reports as my elected position, and the newsletter help that the editor asked if I could still do.

Newsletter = Proofreading, taking to the printer, fold/label/tab/stamp (which I use as an excuse to sit and watch a movie), and then take to the post office. Those are easy things that I don't mind doing. They'll also be easy to give up if someone else offers to do them!

Next project which is almost done: Inventory of the group's library cabinet, and process 6 books that were received as donations. I took inventory in December, finally got around to updating the list yesterday morning (almost 200 items), and just need to check 1 more time at the March meeting to see if missing items have been returned. I turned over the keys to the building and the cabinet, so I can't go there on my own. Tonight's meeting is in a different building.

The 6 books need to be stamped "property of" and have manilla pockets glued or taped in the front for the checkout cards. Easy peasy, but will take a little time to do neatly, and lower priority than getting my papers in order for tonight's meeting.

I shoveled the sidewalk between the house and garage (heavy drifts up to my shins!) and long driveway (thankfully only a couple of inches deep there). I've been to the post office and library. Just finished eating leftovers for lunch.

On to finish my own filing and meeting prep. Where's the BGS?

Feel like I lost my cheering section

We'll cheer you on -every bit you need, Sadie. I especially will, having been in that state myself. As far as I know DS-R still hasn't started PT -it will be 5 weeks Friday since his surgery. So hoping/praying that he is able to beat this setback.

DS-A said something to dd yesterday that I got the 'warm fuzzies' over. He said, "Dad is awesome!! He can stay as long as he likes." Amazing that they finally can figure this out in mid-adulthood. I've known it for years and years. Of course it's the first time they've lived under the same roof for about 20 years.

I just finished doing dishes -DD had said yesterday, "What do you wanna bet the dishes aren't done when we get back?" Well, had dishes from Friday evening through this morning, but I got 'em done.

Know Helia & gang are supposed to be at Disney at some point today -have a wonderful time. We managed to switch our reservation to a room with handicap bath -both for me and for DD. What a difference! Walk in shower and a high toilet. Makes it so much easier on my back and knees. And dd really needs one for her hip (she had her hip replaced about 12 years ago (quite young for it) & her femur broke during surgery, so never regained full use. They told her then that it would only last about 5 years or so. She keeps praying it will hold out as they're not sure they can do it again. So I'm really praying for Mr. Harmony's to work out well this time around.

I am home from my rounds - the J unk people called and were running a bit late so I got to the bank first and closed my checking account and they opened a new checking account. Then 30 minutes to sister's house and the dumpster was being picked up and the J unk people were there. They emptied the house and loaded up - I policed up the yard a bit and they also took what I wanted of the yard junk and swept up a bit in the house. That took 1.5 hours, then I went to a McD's and washed up and had lunch. Then on to Drivers license station, where I waited a little over an hour and got a duplicate paper license. They will send me the real one within 20 days. I'm on hold now with the HSA people to get a new HSA debit/credit card.

Need to answer a snarky temple email - the temple secretary is on a roll today apparently, but I should let it go for awhile before I answer her because I might be snarky in return.

Yes, I saw that she tried to call me, unfortunately, I was taking a shower at the time.

I slept poorly last night - got to sleep late and woke up early - so am going to give myself 45 minutes of downtime. Dh is picking me up around 5:30 for a nice dinner out with his manager and wife, and a new colleague who relocated here, and his wife. I probably won't s2s again (even tho I went to dsis' house) but need to put on makeup and dress clothes.

I have raked up another section along the fence in the back yard. I leveled a bit more area behind the run the hens l Ioved that to scratch in. I have spiffed up the side yard a bit.
No chicks today so far.

Dgd & I have worked on a craft and had lunch.
