Harmony, I guess a new schedule of Mr. Harmony being home would make it crazy at your house. I'm glad DH went to the jobsite. You sound like you worked so hard. Too bad you got rained out though. Hope your DH's foot swelling goes down. I don't think men listen to their wives. Even MY DH and he has hearing aids, too!

At the end of the day, I hope to have spent my time doing....

1. 5 hours - TCOMOB (first 5 hours of schedule)
2. 4 hours - Planting trees, Spray yard - pre-emergent & roundup
3. 3 hours - Meals prep/served/cleaned up
4. 2 hours - LO mentoring

The first one is completed and the 3rd one is 2/3 completed.

Home from meeting w rabbi and reviewing statements that secretary had printed. Oy, about half of the wrong; can't believe she doesn't review her work as she goes.

I need to walk ddogs and do a very few things and head out to dmom's. I don't need to p/u meals for her today because I got those last night when I was at JCC. I went ahead and took care of an online cancellation that dh groused about last night also.

I really need to do more than walk the dogs right now but I need to get going to dmom's. So I'm off with ddogs, then into the car.

Well... here I am. Not sure anyone would say I was exactly "thriving" this morning... I am putting off the DPC, which is to my dmom... and that is so sad that I actually have reached the point that I dread calling her... * See members only for more info and to give me more hope. * If her Christmas tree is still up, which will not surprise me one bit, I am going to have to get myself out there this weekend and get that done. Talked to dbro last night, too, and he said maybe we do need to stage an intervention of sorts (like in the movie, August: Osage County, if any of you have seen it, and I can scream: I AM IN CHARGE!!! I AM IN CHARGE!!!)

After I call her... I must * MUST * visit my colorist. Wow. Two days ago, I was thinking, "hmmm... yeah... I should go ahead and color..." And then suddenly yesterday, I looked in the mirror and thought, "OH NO!!! I CANNOT GO OUTSIDE THIS HOUSE UNTIL I COLOR MY HAIR!!!"

Dgs will be here around 3:00 p.m.

And at some point, I have GOT TO remember how to do the basic weekly home blessing stuff, AT LEAST. I feel like I am just one notch above my dmom, actually. * sigh *

(((Harmony))) I was sorta afraid having dh home would be more work/time consuming for you... but I know he has to be sooo much happier. Maybe you can get a little rest while his coworker has him out from under your watch!

PROGRESS!

* Talked to dmom, and * answered prayers * -- she sounded much better. Reported that she had gotten some Azo, and would start taking it as soon as she completes this round of antibiotic. Was afraid it would "flush" too much and cause meds not to be absorbed. Said she had been outside, got her mail, swept leaves from porch and gathered up small limbs that had blown around yard in last wind we had... said she was throwing away a bunch of old newspapers... all in all, sounded MUCH better.
However... the Christmas tree stays. LOL. This is a bit of eccentricity, but so be it. She said it is so comforting to her and on nights when she can't sleep, she still plugs it in and enjoys it. We agreed that maybe when there is color outside (flowers, trees blooming, etc) then she might be ready to take it down. But she assured me it is not depression or laziness that is causing it to keep it up.

* Cleaned bottom third of dh's shower, including the floor, which has been ignored for three weeks. Took 10 minutes. (After letting cleaner soak while I talked to dmom.) Such a relief. (Cleaning tub/shower was Flylady's mission for the day, and Elizabeth, you inspired me to check over there. I figured if I couldn't face vacuuming the whole house, I could at least do that much!)

* Have hair color in my hair. Waiting on that to set.

I like the indoor bushes that have white lights had some in the basement some years. I noticed the neighbir down the road has them on either side of the living room. Got a chicken on sale at the store it is cooming in my new crock pot veggies are chopped to go with it. Dgd made ch. Muffins. We had e-book story time. Next up digging

I slept in also this morning. I was awake in the middle of the night and finally fell into a sound sleep again. Today is a beautiful day; a clear blue sky, temps still in the mid 50s and a little breezy.

I decided to start weekly duty and have swept, mopped and vacuumed. I will finish up tomorrow after dh PT. I went outside about an hour ago and raked pine needles from our pine tree at the side of the house to the garden across the front of the house. It makes a good mulch and will be easier to pull weeds if they sprout. Even though the temp is still only in mid 50s the sun is warm, so I got a good workout.

((Harmony)), I thought dh wasn't supposed to go out for 5 or 6 more weeks? He must feel good enough to push himself more.
((MT)), keep feeling better. I miss your posts, too.
((Kathryn)), I'm sorry you will be missing ds! I hope the smoky air from others' apartments doesn't bother you.
OKay, I'm glad MPB is fixed and running and hope dh feels better quickly with some rest. I liked the way you time your chores. Easy to see how much each one takes of the working day.

Afternoon update:

1. Dh hasn't called yet so the testing continues. The doctor books a whole day for it but often it doesn't take all day.

2. The inspector came to the patio door at the back so saw me sitting at my desk by it. Sigh... There is no way from the driveway to the front porch so he followed the path dh has shoveled to the patio door (in case of fire.) I told him he wasn't coming in because no-one had explained properly what was going on. He explained it to me. There was a problem with the original inspection and he was never called back to check the fixed work. So, for the past 5 years, the electrician has been filing extensions.

He will now be fined because the inspector came and I wouldn't let him in. I would have but the sub didn't 'fess up to me about what had happened and instead had his secretary call to book the appointment. Since her story ('maybe it is a random re-inspection') didn't sound legit when I thought about it and the contractor didn't know anything about it which had me on edge.

I told the inspector to go away and I'd rebook when I heard directly from my contractor (which will force the sub to confess not only to me but to them.) Knowing this causes the electrician to be fined actually makes me glad. Sorry Harmony that might sound harsh to another small contractor, but this isn't acceptable behaviour. Goodness knows what would happen if there was an electrical fire - would my insurance still cover it since there was FIVE YEAR outstanding issue with the electrical?)

3. After he left I ate half a bag of baked Ruffles, watched You've Got Mail and sorted through all my preaching books. Kept 3 boxes for me, 1.5 to give away. Also packed up some of my resources, keeping out the ones I'll need this spring.

I've received the final phone call in prep of LO surgery in the morning.
** No food/drink after midnight
** Arrive at 6:30am (his surgery is 7am). We have to open MPB before leaving town so that means we need to leave our home no later than 5:30am.
** LO can wear his PJ's and bring a favorite toy with him.
** Bring money to pay the co-pay before the surgery
** arrive from east because construction has the road blocked from the west.

I expect tomorrow surgery to be easy.....when compare to taking him for blood work last week. That was NOT fun. Tomorrow LO will have ear tubes put in for sure with two other possible surgeries. They are going to flush & scope his sinus cavities checking for why they stay stopped up - if they find anything they will do sinus surgery. If his adenoid has grown back they will do adenoidectomy. OH also they will be doing allergy testing while they have him knocked out. They will start with the gas mask to do the ear tubes and allergy testing. If they need to do either of the other possible surgeries they will give him meds through IV as well as the gas mask.

Gopher fella has been here checking his traps for the past 2 hours. LO bus just dropped him off.

Greetings all! I'm up, I'm up! I have got to get myself on a better schedule. Going to bed at 3am and getting up at 3pm is not a reasonable schedule. Starting job hunt in 3, 2, 1, BYE!

Well, Kathryn, at least now you know what is going on and why the inspection needed done.

I received a mailed package from dsis yesterday. It was too late yesterday when I woke up from my nap after supper to call, but I will try this evening.

I guess the neighbors next door have gone. I haven't seen her truck in the driveway since before the last weekend and this week different people have been working around and in the house. The power company has also disconnected the electric---no more lit porch light.
