Morning ya'll...

All morning routines complete, one doggie fed, one to go. Footprints picked up again last night ...

There's a red moon risin', better known as a blood moon, tonight. In other words there will be a lunar eclipse happening. I should be able to see it once it begins. That's the good news...however I am subbing tomorrow so it may make for a sleepy morning. I want to try and capture the event with my camera, so we shall see.

Its a cool windy morning. Thats good news because it means the temps will be in the 80's. Perfect time to enjoy the outdoors, which exactly what Sweetie and I are planning on doing. We are off to the races this morning...horses that is. I'm looking forward to having fun with Sweetie today...

Hope all the wounded here at the village are on the mend.

I'm off to water my garden and then get ready to go...hope y'all have a great day..make time to have some fun. Cy'all later.......

and yes, happy for Bubba Watson -- if Jason Duffner (Auburn grad, you know) can't win, Bubba is one of my favorites, too... I think Phil Mikelson is my #1 favorite... after Jack Nickolas... and I think I'm misspelled probably every one of those names, LOL.

Y'all will not believe what yesterday was like around here.
You know we had dgs from 9:45 Saturday morning until around midnight last night.
Well... yesterday, dh started out the day at 8:30 a.m. at hospital... stayed till 2:30 p.m. Came home, went back at 5:30 p.m. (he wants to be there at mealtimes.)
At 7:00 p.m., nursing home called -- could not tell me anything except that dgaunt's "status had changed" and they needed to talk to dh.
I gave them the hospital number...
From then on, dh was back and forth from ER to dmil's room... dgaunt passed away. * sigh *
She was 94 years old... she was more than ready to go... but so sad for dmil... now she is the only remaining sibling... and in such a weakened condition herself.
And dh, as "point man" for all this, is just about past his going point. I am sure he is thinking when all the rush is over he is going to have a well-earned nervous breakdown...

Dmil is still about the same, but is going to rehab at nursing home for 21 days. That will help all of us.

Must go. Appt at funeral home at 1:00 pm.

Took a break from computer for a couple days. Now I'm back.

Sorry to hear of the falls and the bad weather.

Saturday I swept, scrubbed and hosed the front porch, furniture, windows. All looks spanky clean and nice now. The 2 plastic Adirondack chairs on the one side have stains that won't come off. Even after scrubbing with a brush. I'm thinking if I get ambitious some day I'll try a magic eraser.

Was really tired after all that so I didn't go to church Sunday. DH was out at church picnic most of Sat. and his cold got worse and he was coughing badly so he didn't go either. We did have small group here last evening, but even though I called everyone we only had another couple show up. One gal does taxes, and this is her crunch time...we don't know what happened to the others. Did have a nice time with the couple who showed - who are our best friends...

(Lucylee) so sorry about DGAunt. Will there be a funeral?

Just feeling lazy today. Need to go do something..

I am fine nothing unusual for me
I mowed for my ex. Glad that is done. Laundry is going trying to stay current on daily stuff here.

Need to go again.

-reboot laundry
-take ddogs for short walk (not currently raining)
-take out kitchen trash
-figure out rest of day list of stuff to do
-finish up tax return, print copy for dh to "review" later

I also cleaned up my email inbox along the way.

I spent the first 6.5 hours of the day following scheduled time slot cards. Then went to Subway with DH for lunch. Now I'm trying to get started again but there are so many options. each one needs attention. I find myself wishing my afternoon hours were more structured so I don't have to think .....just do.

Our weather is crazy here too. Yesterday it a Sunny 94 degrees.....today it is in the 30's and snowing. The wind is blowing 30-40mph. Tonight will be a hard freeze so all the delicate plants/trees won't make it.

I called in a prescription, DH will call his in today, too. His are "different". He ends up having to talk to a real person & mine is all automated by push button & SOOOO convenient!
DH is going to take his late shower soon, then we'll go walking to mail letters & 1 bill, and walk on the lane awhile. I've got SPF 50 on, for protection.

OMM:
- Sort laundry, but may not "need" to do any.
- Work on some facecloths & Granny squares.
- Clean the kitchen, re-decorate the entry way.
- Read awhile.
- Answer a few letters.
- A meditation exercise by Deepok Chopra & Oprah that's a 21-day meditation plan.

It'll be fun to get walking done. And out of the way. It'll be nearly 70* here today & sunny. Tomorrow showers come.

Hello, villagers ~
We have had wild weather swings here for a few days, and I have a raging cold.

Saturday outdoors was beautiful with sunshine and temps in the upper 70s. Unfortunately, I was stuck indoors at sewing group meetings.

[Skippable rant: New pres made a big deal last week when she sent out the agenda for the board meeting that everyone must come prepared because she wanted to finish in an hour or less. The agenda she put together was a full page single spaced. Then she kept going off topic and chatting, and the meeting took almost 2 1/2 hours. After the meeting when we were putting away chairs, she complained again about how long the meeting lasted and we have to make them shorter. I just smiled and nodded and kept my mouth shut. I did a lot of that during both meetings Saturday. I really don't like the switch to the early morning meeting with all the members on Saturday followed by the board meeting. end rant]

By the time I finally got home and DH took me out to eat lunch (at 3 pm) the day was mostly shot and I could feel my throat getting scratchy and my sinuses started to bother me.

DH waited until Saturday late afternoon to open the 2nd computer box that we had bought Tuesday night. He said he was waiting to see if I had problems setting up mine. To which I said, But you researched them for months, dude, I thought we bought what you wanted. He replied that he wanted the warning if Win8 was going to make me tear out my hair.

He knew right away that something was wrong with his. He said as soon as he lifted it out of the box, he heard something slide and thunk. I said stop, don't do anything more with it but put it back in the box, I'll put my shoes on and we can take it right back to the store.

It was such a nice day, at least we were able to go for a little drive together. I stayed in the car and read the newspaper while he took the box into the store. Luckily the store still had 1 of the same unit on the shelf so they let him exchange.

Too bad that after messing with it Saturday night and all day yesterday, he was still not able to connect to the wifi. My tower is connected to the modem directly via cable, and my netbook with Win7 has had no trouble with the connection.

From what he described, the problem is that the space where Win8 wants him to type the passkey is too short. We can't figure out why they would do that, since we did not change the passkey from what came with the modem. He's hoping someone he works with can give advice today.

Yesterday it poured rain for hours and hours. Last night we had long thunderstorms. Overnight it snowed. Today is dark and gloomy and cold.

I'm having trouble getting any work done with a cold. Even with otc meds, my nose won't stop running and my right eye keeps watering so it's hard to read. A bit of a cough. I'm spoiled, I haven't had a cold this bad for a long time. Oh well, at least it isn't the flu!

I was able to take a nap for a couple of hours, and I think it helped. Must s2s and then I need to run a few errands here in Tiny Town.

And once again, I will be figuring out our taxes at the very last minute tonight. Sigh.
