Can you buy the towel like bath mats like are in hotels, Kathryn? Dilemma no matter which bathroom you use.
I have one of those and the ensuite door won't clear it either.

On the other hand, the cheap Walmart mats I bought aren't as plush as the one from home so my bathroom door clears it (ensuite doesn't) and it is much smaller so it fits in my bathroom. We've now installed the curved rod and an old curtain from home (for now until I find something I love since this is now my everyday bathroom) and the shower seems more than acceptable and less crowded than the shower stall in the ensuite. The medicine cabinet door opens into the shower rod but it isn't unmanageable.

Dh and I are snippy with each other, once again. It works better if we each tackle a room.

I've got my desk in place in the spare bedroom. Working on placing the bookcase and night stand and then I can start unpacking books. That should clear out another 5 - 8 boxes.

Thank heavens for 3 bathrooms - the collapsed boxes are stored in the third tub! I've got to get a sign up in the mail room and see if anyone moving July 1 would like them.

Had an interesting escapade here in the campground last night. During AGT, dfriend called to ask me if 2 guys stopped here selling magazines. Dh was working on our gazebo (which is now up and ready to use btw). They hadn't. She said they saw them go to the place by us & those people aren't here from FL as yet. By the time dh went up to take his shower another resident about 1/2 mile from us had called the store reporting this pair. Now it's almost 9 at night! Camp manager was on her way here. Dh confronted them -one not too bad looking the other a 'scum bag' in dh's observation. Told them this is private property, no soliciting and you are trespassing. They had come down over the hill from another side of the campground. They'd been 'dropped off' -at 8 and 9 o'clock at night? We really feel they were casing. Camp manager escorted them out the front gate -so now it's at least a 3-mile walk back to where they were 'dropped'. Gave us all an uneasy feeling I'm afraid. It's a private campground but not foolproof by any means. Know we sometimes have a 'false sense' of security. Need to be sure our shed is locked I do know that. We always lock our RV when we go to bed.

DD and I talked for a while. Some of that was used in talking about the 'what if's' they move to GA. DSonIL is in a pretty good sounding interview process with a company around Brunswick. If he gets this job and it's sounding fairly promising, he'd rent a studio apartment for probably a couple of years and dd would start 'moving' toward making that move eventually. She really needs to stay in FL until gd15 has reached 'legal' age. That will give her time to see how her teaching tenure is shaping up and finding a new job up there. We shall see. But it will also keep dh busy over the winter doing a lot of the odd jobs that need doing before they can think about selling. Dsonil's wages would be good and he would commit to at least 10 years which is what they're looking for. (refrigeration) They had contacted him and are very interested -so we'll see. They had a long phone interview on Monday & now want a face to face. They will pay for him to come there. If they arrange it real soon, they'll both drive up there and look around some and then dd will travel the remainder of the way up here. As LucyLee said -it's all in God's hands.

My day began at 1 a.m., due to gastritis, so got up, took a generic Zantac, slept in the recliner on and off until 6 a.m. Then, DH got up, wondering if I was doing okay. ♥ I did breakfast, bought FREE romances for my e-book, DH stripped the sheets and I'm washing them w/extra pillowcases now. Will sleep elevated in the bed tonight, with 2 pillows and I'll have a clean pillowcase for Dgrson's visit. Also, will wash blankets, so they're "fresh" for him. He comes the 22nd.

I took a saved computer letter, re-did it for another pal, added more to it, so am now getting ready to write more personal things on the back blank pages. She's from Alaska and I enjoy her so much.

DH has bug spray on, so he gave me his good-bye kiss before going to work in the woods. The neighbor's bulldozing close to our adjoining property line, so I've got this dull loud hum sound of a big equipment motor in the background. It'll probably be an all-day project for him, as he DOES get "carried away"! He's a nice guy, but when he works, it's overkill and so noisy. We've only met him 1 time in the 25 years he's been moved back here, too. Strange, huh? Oh, well. At least we met him once. DH has a dfriend who knows our neighbor and they used to be schoolmates together, but the neighbor's never dropped in on DH's dfriend, although he only lives 1 mile away. The Dfriend gets his "gossip" from eating lunches at the tavern, which I've heard serves wonderful food. So DH's Dfriend knows OF the old schoolmate, via his dbros. I've heard that men get together and gossip worst than women. Have any of you ever heard that? :?:  I don't know if it IS true or not, but it's funny to be with men, listen to them talk, and it's vaguely gossipy like we women get "sometimes", but of course WE WOMEN don't hardly "gossip", but rarely. ;) I'm being goofy because of poor sleep.

It's beautiful, sunny here, and a baby bunny ran across the landing next to the sliding glass door. Must only be 5" long! Too cute for words. So many bunnies, so many ages and sizes. When they refer to larger than life families, say "they breed like rabbits," I know what they mean now, because of our high bunny population. Also, it's NOT NICE to describe larger families like that. It's putting a label on them. :( Some folks like larger families, and Dson/Ddil is one of them, but we love them all. More to love, more love to go around. ♥ ♥

I'm rambling. A magazine salesman showed up here 6 years ago, the day of DH's colonoscopy. It was a teenaged kid, in sandals, shorts, scroungy, pounding on my glass front door, no papers for receipts, no books, no briefcase. I told him "No! And you can just GET OUT OF HERE NOW, TOO!!!!!!! Now, LEAVE!!!!!" He ran off, turning back, to say, "Don't worry! I won't be back!" I shouted, "Good and good ridden, too!" I was furious. DH had a Dfriend picking him up in 10 minutes, after this "salesman" left, I was home alone, for HOURS and felt so uncomfortable, being as that teenager had been here. I felt "creepy"! :o :( You just need to be careful in today's time.

Done:
x bfast with friends
x picked up girls
x gathered laundry and have started a load
x got myself s2s-ed beforehand
x replied to very short email from dh; still don't have flight info from him. Also need to know the name of the hotel where I'm going once in Honolulu.

Dd18 has left to go w/ dfriend S and R (pr maybe just S?) to something for S' job in another city. Dd18 is going as the nanny for baby J and will be back tomorrow.

Next: finish a.m. routine - just making my bed. Then, I'll run errands: groc. store, Walgreens, maybe go pick up my glasses which are now ready.

One filing cabinet reloaded with files.

We have about 10 filing boxes of archived records, both household and business. Perhaps some of the household can go but I know I shredded all I could of the business before the move. So much for the plan of storing in the basement. On the other hand, if we get a storage locker, we can store household things too but bill it to the business.

Still can't find a file box that will finish off my regular work desk.

Having lunch because dh wants to go out now. We need to change the oil in the car. That is top priority. As well, we'll do our change of address things with the government.

The super is here making a list of things we need done.

Nancy: thanks for the idea about stealing bikes. I kept thinking if the people at Dee's campground were on foot, what could they carry away?

hotel where I'm going once in Honolulu.
That would probably be good to know since there are 'oodles'.

Kathryn, you are right, but we had a rocky feeling that they were casing for the future. But you're right. But I never even thought of bikes. Yikes.

How that DGS22months of ours does talk! DDIL just posted a picture of him looking at pictures on her IPhone. Says, "Oh Matt, he had to go home to Canada." Then immediately he always says, "Canada?" Has no idea what or where that is. I get the greatest kick out of watching & hearing him. Brings joy to my heart.
