Hoping Mr. Dee and everyone else out there is keeping hydrated. We could reach the 'feel like' 100's today. At least there's a stiff breeze blowing.

My guess is that mine are in a box around here somewhere!Harriet wrote: Happy Exact Half-Point of the Year!![]()

Back home again. And yes, the apartment is now what we think of as home. The house is a shell. We are going to start to think of it as a cottage. Darn expensive one, but a cottage it shall be until it sells. We can go out to the country to garden.
Dh says the unpure city air is good for me not snoring. That's a nice way to say I snored all night last night. Of course, I only had one pillow and I can't lie on my side right now (legs hurt more in that position.)
We got home at 9:45 and are just finishing up breakfast. I need to change into my outfit for the day (still wearing yesterday's clothes, although I did take a sponge bath. Weeded the gardens a bit, getting the worst of the mess cleared up, mostly the dead peonies and irises bloom. The forsythias are growing wild and need a good trim very soon.
Someone on freecycle needed an old computer for a car test and I offered one we had at the house. When I got home I emailed from my computer and he responded back with a warm hello. Turns out neither of us had recognized the name of the other but he's been here to get boxes already. He's heading to the island in front of our house for the day so will be here in a few minutes.
Yes, Canada Day has fireworks. We'll be watching a huge display from the balcony tonight. Last night the neighbourhood party had a very good display as well. This is the 7th year for that party and each year the display gets better as people learn more about how to do a good display.

Twins' Mom, I placed your avatar back with your profile. If you would like something else, just switch of course. But this way you could copy it to your own computer to save if you don't have it.
Mystery Woman, your new avatar is lovely. He's a keeper.
Nancy, I actually set http://www.shesorganized.org as a "bookmark" for a while until my computer gets used to going here all the time!
Pet Photos - think about these as well, everyone. If you do not have the ones you posted in our Pet Show thread any more, just ask and we will email to you.

Those 3 done. Also hung 3'x4' outside mat over the fence and scrubbed the mat using soap & wire brush. My arms got a good work-out!
LO is playing with the toys in his toy box…..timer is set to keep him on track and so he knows there is an end to the time. When the timer goes off, he can decided whether to keep playing or do something else.

Kathryn, thank you! I was going to look for a new avatar and hadn't gotten around to it - it's nice to have one back and now I may not even look for a new one. I might go post some new pet photos in Pet Parade, too.
Have done small bits of a.m. routine, walked ddogs and been to grocery for a small trip. I've made brownies to take with meal tonight and have challah going in the breadmaker so I'm on schedule there.
This round:
-hang up delicates from washer, start a new load of laundry?
-clean up kitchen from cooking
-brunch/meds/vitamins
-straighten GR
-breakfast bar and kitchen table clearing

HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MR. DEE!!!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY NANCY & MR. NANCY!!!
I got up at 8 a.m., took my pill, need to wait before I can eat. I was working on my "to do" list, since I keep faltering & do not look at my SHE-cards-folder.
So I'll stick with this & calendar reminders.
It'll be 90* here today, so I'll stay inside to stay cool.
DH is going to his physical, to get prescriptions & groceries. I'm going to do chores at home & story outlines, etc... letters, crochet, read, ....
I do hope every Canadian has a wonderful day today!
Mr. Dee, have a Very Happy birthday.
Nancy & Mr. Nancy, I hope you get to do something special today, too!

Things are OK here. Mr. Guy healing nicely.
The blindman is here cleaning all of my blinds. Next up is to call for outside windows and screens to be cleaned.
Then: Mammogram time.
Kathryn, you and Ken did a super job on moving us over. I am so "low-tech" , "no-tech" that this boggles my mind. If I were young again I would study computers. To me it is so fascinating to see what can be done. When I lived in Seattle, Bill Gates and Paul Allen were going to school at Lakeside School about a mile from where I lived. It astounds me what they did after they finished prep school.

FelineFriend it is good to see you posting!
This is strange. DD has called LO 3 times in the last 7 days. After not calling him for weeks. Not sure what to think about it. LO seems okay either way - when she calls and when she doesn't. A couple weeks ago LO asked to talk to her so I dialed her number and handed him the phone…. but she didn't answer. LO left a voice message telling her that he wanted to talk to her. It took her a couple weeks to return his call……and now she is calling every couple of days. She is upbeat, encouraging & positive to LO on the phone calls. Sooo I'm just going to continue to monitor LO emotional/mental stability and observe where this relationship goes. I do encourage LO to have relationship with DD. Not pushy encouragement but just letting him know it is totally okay. I don't want him to feel pulled or pushed into a relationship with DD …..just encouraged and reaffirm often that he is loved by all.
Next up -
** Prep lunch and log into MFP
** Create LO daily page in his *planner*
** Review sight words with LO (on front porch)
