Well I have good and bad news ...
I didn't win my diet bet...lost it by .4lbs
However I did loose 5.2 lbs this month

I really lost more than that as my weight took two bounces up... one was for 1.4 lbs and the other was 1.6 lbs...so I lost those PLUS the 5.2 lbs.

I rewarded myself with a piece of bread/toast this morning and then got back on the plan. Won't do the diet bet this month because of my two upcoming vacations, but am motivated enough not to need it. Will jump back on it when I am home for good as it really helps to keep me accountable.

Harriet...you are doing so well on your exercising ...good for you. :D

Nancy, are you trying to mow in the mornings before it gets too hot? I know it must make you happy to see you're keeping it neat. And when you finish, you're had a workout.

Ramblin, you are laughing all the way to the diet bank, because you have really used this new idea to change your weight to what you choose.

Congratulations to both Twins' Mom and Ramblin for losses in June.

Did ya'll see that Harmony came in with a lot of specific foot info for Kathryn today in PWYC? Just thought I'd mention it here in case anyone wanted to refer to it this month.

Balance work is part and parcel of my DVDs, so I am probably blessed by that on a regular basis. Everybody "bobbles" during balance sequences and it's actually considered good to bobble because that's how you work the muscle insertions to the spine. If you didn't ever bobble and need to correct, to hold your balance, there wouldn't be much difficulty to it or improvement. The trainers can be seen bobbling all over the screen and just smiling and getting their composure back.

There is a Finger and Foot Fitness DVD from TT and I own it because of a deal that included it is the past, but have not "read" it much. I haven't been of the belief that my feet are my problem, although reading what cats and Harmony said today about feet affecting the rest of the body I can see it could be part.

Harriet Yep I like to mow before it gets hot. 90* is just too hot to mow in.
Walked tonight.
I need to mow next door in the back that is my goal in the a.m.

My weight loss is at a pause. The scales are staying within a couple lbs (either way). I lose and gain the same 2 lbs over and over.

My focus is on developing Healthy Habits. This is my 2nd cycle through them. This week Healthy Habit focus is Drinking Water. DH and LO have joined me in this Healthy Habit. We discussed how much water each of us needs to drink daily and did the calculations. (1/2 oz water for each lb of body weight). Then we took that # of ozs and decided how many bottles of water we each needed to drink (bottle of water = 24 oz). We all use the same type of bottles but each of us has our own color (DH = blue, LO=green, mine is purple). The bottle are designed to be refilled and have a counter on them.....but that doesn't work for us. We forget to move the counter or we don't stop and refill it. What works is having the right # of each of the colored bottles washed & filled each morning. As we go through the day it is easy to tell at a glance how each of us are doing with our Drink Water healthy habit. As we pass by the bottles it is easy to grab one and take with us. Our individual colored bottles sitting there patiently waiting to be drank seem to tattle on us. :)

Lady Maverick, that is a no-nonsense way to know for sure the amount of water you are drinking.

I "attended" (listened to) a conference call for an hour and 10 minutes. The subject was generally posture and the new workouts I'll be doing soon. I took some notes. Lots to take in.

BookSaver had to break the news to me this morning :) that I was thinking it was Saturday and "losing" July 4 (which has no mail delivery).

So with the arrival of the new DVD out of the picture, I decided to finish out the week with a 3rd Total workout, which makes this week a really great step into a new commitment to the second half of the year. Then dd and I did the "Form tips" mini-lesson together, which was something like 10 minutes? (She went on into a hula-hoop session with me out of the way.)

So 3 hours is the approx. total of my workouts this week, plus a good bit of study. And it will be fine to take the weekend off. With this extra travel time I'm pretty sure the DVD will be here tomorrow, so that will be a great "reading" activity for me this weekend.

I continue to be inspired by those who so faithfully exercise and those who are succeeding in weight loss efforts. I want to be just like you! :)

Drinking that much water each day is a challenge. The importance of it has zoomed to the top of our priority list as LO struggles with UTI (or whatever is causing the voiding problem).....at the same time DH is still hanging onto his kidney stone. Drinking water is included in everything we do. Bottles of water go everywhere with us.

I've linked a daily activity with finishing up a bottle of water to keep me on track. I don't want to come to the end of day with multiple bottles of water still waiting for me.
1st bottle = before I get off the treadmill in the morning (around 5:30am)
2nd bottle - before I finish CFO cards in the morning (around 8am)
3rd bottle = before eating lunch
4th bottle = before eating dinner

I haven't been feeling myself for the past several days and finally figured out I must of had some type of a virus.

Didn't stay strickly to the plan, but didn't deviate too much either. I did eat 1 1/2 biscuits yesterday and a blueberry muffin on Friday. Didn't eat much of anything Sat because I wasn't that hungry. I made meatloaf for Sweetie that night and eat a small bit. Tasted good for about three bites.

Not much water and some diet soda along with some Propell mixed into my water. Still not 100% but will be easing back into the plan starting today. Haven't done any exercising either as I couldn't even think about doing any of it.

However I can tell by my clothes that I have not regained any weight and I am slipping into smaller and smaller sizes of clothes that are in my closet. Yeah for that.

Tummy this morning is telling me it may be another day or so before I get back to normal. Where I've been drinking 80 ozs of water a day the though of that today is less than appealing. So I'll just take it slow and drink what I can.
