Ducky, How fortunate you can do your MA online. That's nice because you need not travel anyplace or sit in a classroom, too. :D

Kathryn, I'll be Thinking of You. I do mine in October, sometime. It's so hard to do everything on the list NOT to eat or take. We have colon cancer in my side of the family and I had 3 pre-cancerous polyps removed last time. So did DH. We have the same Dr. who preforms ours.

I just looked down, at my shirt. I dropped almond butter and chocolate from a protein bar on me in 2 spots. Time to change my clothes. I'm worst than a little kid. ;)

Everything is taking longer. LO is stuck like glue to me and talking non-stop. Actively practicing patience.....this phase will pass....surely

Yesterday DH and I took 3 grandkids to LegoLand. Boooo Hisss.... whatDaDisappointment!! $18 admission (x 5 = about $100 when tax is added in). It was sooo packed that the kids couldn't do anything. It took almost 2 hours of waiting to get in. Then we stood in line for 47 minutes to ride the first ride (bumper cars).....which lasted TWO minutes before they stopped the ride and put the next group of kids in.. Argh. The GRANDkids said NO MORE standing in line. The lego play area was unbelievable small (maybe 10 stations?) and surrounded by 100+ kids & adults. I saw some unkind behavior that reminded me of Black Friday Christmas shopping behavior (elbowing & grabbing Lego pieces away from other children). It was NOT fun environment. The Grandkids spent most of the time in the play tubes (think Burger King/McD children play area).

We also went to Rain Forest Cafe and the Grandkids had a blast there. We were pleasantly surprised with the service and the quality (plus quantity) of food. We finished up our outing with a short train ride that was a hit with Grandkids.

Time goes by sooo fast! Our day was done and we still had more we wanted to do. Maybe next time......

Think I'd best 'tend' to my computer and shut it down. Storms are inching their way here and it's supposed to storm part of the afternoon, stop a while & then rain all night. Since I'm sitting dBailey and thunderstorms are on the horizon guess I'll stay in with her. Was going to go do a couple LOL. I'll wait on that too. I can read for a while I guess. My favorite thing to do anyway.

I'm all sweaty and gross now but I do feel a bit of accomplishment. I got the next load of nasty clothes in the wash ( I'm hoping some of it is salvageable). I spent an hour cleaning the kitchen. Then an hour cleaning the living room. I texted a friend who said she may be coming for lunch today. No response yet.
Next up is a water break and figure out dinner.

LadyMaverick, We, too, have been to the Rain Forest Cafe. It's a great place to meet out-of-town guest, to treat them to lunch, too, like we did once. We used to meet every October, as a family, there, but now, with 13 of us, it's too hard to jive everyone's work/school schedules. So we stopped the tradition 1 - 2 years ago. It's a wonderful place for kids, the food and service are great. I agree. Glad you went. :D

Lucylee, I'm so glad you got 8 hours of sleep! :D Enjoy DSon, hope nursing visit goes well, etc...

Dee, So sorry you're having a stormy day there. :o :(

Ducky, I know the sweaty-feeling. I had it hit me during chores, too. Did extra antiperspirant, too.

DH and Dgs left about 11 a.m. to go get the mouse bed out of our sedan and get an oil change. It's so "funny" because the girls in the office, every year, come to our car and say, "I've never SEEN a mouse bed in a car BEFORE! Can I look?" But riding in the car with the air vent or A/C on, has been "stinky-stinky-stinky". Not a fun ride, so am so happy :D DH is doing it today. :!:

I got 9 items done on my 10 x 5:
;) Dusted the small office.
;) Remade the bed pretty.
;) Dumped trash from all household waste baskets.
;) Dusted the great room.
;) Fixed pills.
;) Put hot spots out. (Keeping up on them, there aren't too many to put out.)
;) Swept the utility room.
;) Wrote Wed. the 9th 10 x 5 list.
;) Finished a story by hand.

#10, will be to put groceries away, when DH and Dgs return. They're doing the oil change/mouse bed first, then get a prescription, go to the bank, go to Applebee's on a gift card redeeming lunch, then to a grocery store and home. Hoping to have groceries put away by 5 p.m. to report here again. :D

I'm off to watch the news, take a break, cool down, journal and crochet. Have a nice later morning and early afternoon. :D BBL... ;)

Oh, LadyM, I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience at LegoLand. We've never been to a LegoLand. The Rainforest Cafe looks intriguing!

WTG, ducky! I hope the MA is ultimately a good and helpful experience for you, not just more busywork. It shouldn't be that way.

Wow, Rose. That's amazing. I can't believe you managed all that was going on in your life and got your MA at the same time. I like your statement:
Strong is just doing what you need to do and not thinking about how difficult it really is.
It's so true, isn't it, that sometimes the hardest times of our lives produce the sweetest fruit, whether personal growth, accomplishment, memories.

I have overseen dd18's call to the pedi regarding moving an appt. and taking care of a prescription that will run out right when she returns from her travels. I took care of another meds issue for her last week; she is learning to tend to her own medical needs. This is another reason to have her nearby during her college years. I haven't done much else, did a long email. Gathered clothes. Started a lol.

Next:
- Finish a.m. routine
- make casserole

You're on a roll, FeFri!! (Trying to figure out how to appropriately shorten your handle. . ). You're inspiring me. I will have some things done when I next check in.

Our sunshine is back, btw. :)

Just lost a post  . One little click & --Poof! -- it's gone. Oh well. I'm writing this post in a blank email so I can copy & paste from it.

Did want to give a big hug to ((Bookie)). I'm so sorry your dmom broke her hip.

I've been tending to blessing my home today. I dislike housework but love a clean house, so have vacuumed, straightened up the kitchen, dusted, & cleaned one bath. Stripped the bed; sheets are in the dryer & towels are in the washer.

I came across this short clip of seven adorable kittens moving in unison & wanted to share it with you. I dare you not to smile if you watch it :-):

Waving to Dee, Lady Maverick, dearduckyducky, Helia, Ramblinrose, Feline Friend, Kathryn, Lucylee & all who stop by later. :)

Hope you all have a wonderful day!
