Henna is in hair now.

Stripped and remade bed (yes, literally because I have the henna in my hair!)

Started first load of laundry.

Just checked email and FB. Dd is reeling a bit since this is the second baby in her circles who has died (although technically, C isn't dead yet, he is in limbo waiting to be harvested to offer hope to other families.) Before dd's friends' experiences, I never knew anyone who had lost a child to SIDS. Now I'm ready to by an alarm for dd who is paranoid (not to the point of not having children but certainly paranoid.) Looking over the risk factors that she posted on FB, I know this baby had three of them. And of course, given that the mom is epileptic. it may not be SIDS at all. Not sure if I'll ever learn the results or where the autopsy comes into play when organs are donated (seems like a conflict to me.)

Next up. Dusting the bedroom.

Good Morning!

I am almost 5 hours into my day. I got sidetracked first thing this morning researching a solution to Google/Outlook sync (current software is going away August 1st). I have a plan in place now, but just need time to implement it. ANYway, I started my day an hour behind schedule. No problem because I don't have any hard appointments this morning.

Thankfully, I had finished with personal AM cards before 8am because local police called to tell us MPB had blown a hose. I jumped into vehicle and did a quick trip to MPB and put up cones to block off bay with owie. DH was awake but not ready to leave the house when the call came in. The thought of selling MPB gets easier each time one of these owies happen.

Welcome back, Bittersweet! It's good to see you again. I like your avatar. So sad to lose your calico friend.

CI: I'm having a quiet day at home. No appointments, no errands, I might not even go to the post office. Apron Day!

Yesterday I did a bunch of meeting prep, as well as some work in the kitchen.
Went to Tiny Town grocery store for lettuce (expensive!), dollar store for a prepaid card for my cell phone, and the post office.
Library group board meeting last night, to plan projects and events for the next 9 months.

I called DMom yesterday afternoon and she sounded really upbeat. Her shoulder is much better, they are keeping the pain in her hip under countrol, and she thinks all the exercises with PTs and OTs are having good results. She is glad her surgeon recommended the intensive rehab floor at the hospital instead of going to a nursing home where she probably would have done a lot of sitting around. She prefers to be busy and working.

Tomorrow morning early I'll go to The Big City for sewing group meeting with general membership, then the monthly board meeting. I was not looking forward to either, but I just got an email from a friend saying that she will be attending the earlier meeting. I haven't seen her in a few months, so that will be fun. I'm not really interested in the program topic this time, but I always enjoy seeing the sewing and quilting projects that members have been doing over the past month or two.

Dee, is that rescue movie out on DVD or did you mean you were giving movie vouchers? I had assumed it was coming to theatres but must admit I pay little attention. Hope your back feel better.

Just realized I must continue to deal with large gift of pre-owned clothing, much still with tags on, given to dd15. Sigh. If this isn't handled soon the project will be in the way of company coming here. So far, two items need to be dry-cleaned. 4 or 5 need to be washed and may require separate loads. Another 5 are puzzles that might work. Not enough are going into donation bags or tossed.. ...

-a.m. routine
-spend 1 hr at desk day
-find or buy 4 light bulbs for upstairs bathroom vanity
-send out search party for my Fitbit which I lost yesterday

This may be too ambitious....

And for right now....
-clear kitchen counters
-sort laundry and start lol
-make up the bed
-empty the dishwasher
-ck light bulb inventory

Good Morning, Villagers! Let's see.... Feasible Friday..... I think it's more feasible for me to try out the 5 x 5 list, to be done in rounds throughout the day.

5 x 5 list #1:
- Write Dgs a thank-you-for-your stay card, with praises about himself and how we enjoyed his visit, etc....
- Write Ddil a letter w/a cat condo magazine instructional page (they have 2 young cats) and will send Dgs-3 and Dgs-5 a letter each with stickers.
- Will strip the bed, wash sheets and remake it.
- LOL catch-up so Dgs goes home with clean clothes.
- Hot spots put out and sort the mail.

5 x 5 list #2:
- Stretches and do yoga
- Run my daily scans
- Sweep the dining room, Great room, and entry way hall
- Date journal exercises pages ahead
- Research on a story and try to work on it a bit more.

5 x 5 list #3:
- Write a.m. "to do" list
- Do weekly calendar reminders
- Write letters, if there are any to reply to
- Set the dawn simulator for 7 a.m.
- Get out a.m. clothes, etc....

I'll do my best, to finish all 3 lists by 5 p.m. What I don't get done, I'll move onto tomorrow's 5 x 5 lists.

Harriet, I meant that things 'advertising' the movie are now out in stores. Got dgs some related things -a bob-cat (much like his Dad's), a giant coloring book, washable crayons, a lighted dry erase board, and a couple other things related to the movie. Think the movie comes out in theaters this month. Also picked up the fire truck for DS-A's collection -for Christmas. The movie vouchers sound like a good idea. Hopefully the video will be out by Dec and I can get in 3-D for their movie room. Nice family gift.

I'm taking a quick break back home. Couldn't decide what direction I wanted to travel for my other stops. Did get DS-A's embroidered shirts and went to the post office (a fruitless trip). Now going to town closest to the east to go to W mart and to the bank to make a deposit and get quarters.

Hair is done now. I used dh's bathroom to put on the henna because he has a counter. Plus it is smaller so I felt finding the henna that I had splashed off me and onto floor/toilet/shower stall would be easier. I used my shower to remove the henna after because I like the strong spray (no flow governor in my shower.) Last time I wasn't happy with the results. I had mis-remembered and left it on for 60 minutes, thinking that was double-time and it didn't make a big different. Turns out 60 is normal so I left it on for 120. Probably too much time, my big patch of grey at the temple is a bit brassy now. Dh is unhappy with no-grey and that all my hair is lighter. It isn't really (henna can't lighten) it is just that the grey is often clear so shows the dark brown I have left. Now that is blonde so all my hair looks lighter and the dark brown is shinier so reflects more light as well.

I desperately need to do nails and eyebrows but tomorrow is another day.

While waiting for the henna I got a load of laundry done, the dusting done (slipshod job) and had breakfast. It is time now for my lunch. There are some leftovers I think I'll have before they spoil. Ds should be home soon so if he gets here before I eat, then I'll offer them to him and have a salad and quiche.

Kathryn, you're saying that your dh likes the gray? I just do highlights in my hair that blend the gray with some blonde/light brown. I still have gray showing but I think it's age appropriate. Dh would like me to cover the gray entirely forever and I just don't see doing that. Maintenance, cost, time and not age appropriate IMHO.

Got that round done, also found my Fitbit as I sorted laundry - I didn't ever get it onto the skirt I was wearing yesterday, altho I thought I was wearing it. I found it on shorts I wore yesterday a.m. before I went out. Also scored on light bulbs - this bathroom has four lights over the vanity mirror - I'm going to put 40 watt bulbs in and I think that will be plenty. It is a dark bathroom, w/o outside light but ds is the only one using it for the most part. There is another vanity off dd's bedroom, altho with a couple here next week they might use both.

FF and Bsweet, good idea to break your list up into now, then and later! And it's so good to "see" Bsweet back with us - can't believe your dgs is almost in third grade! Do you still work at a vet office or shelter? Hugs on the passing of sweet Molly.
