Up at 4:45 to cloudy skies. Then I got to the hen chores and saw h. Off to work.
Went to do cat chores.
Did my walk.
I have watered and cleaned and filled containers for hens.
Breakfast is done spiff bed done.
Now it is time to pay attn. To inside stuff toddler N will be here at some point today.
Laundry needs changed over. X
trash needs dumped x

Last load is now in the dryer. I folded and put away what was dry except h's he likes to do his own.

Dh has successfully moved his electrocardiogram. Since he got the idea to go, he realized the Blue Jays are playing at Fenway on Tuesday and Wednesday nights so now he's moved his hair appointment to 10 a.m. and is hoping to get to Fenway in time to take in part of the game (he'll have 8 hours to drive there so it won't be the whole game since we're figuring 9 hours driving time and he has to cross the border and then get right into Boston to the park.)

What's messing things up now is the hotel availability. He can't switch to two nights in Burlington, Mass. (currently he has one in Burlington, Vermont and the second in Burlington Mass.)

Me, I think he's trying to cram too much into too short a time and am really glad I'm not going with him!

I've done the ironing and put the no-slip on the lazy suzan. So I've accomplished something. I'll need him to take me to get a rental car early tomorrow since I may need to have one.

Next challenge for me is to clean out our car so it is ready to go tomorrow. He'll leave straight from his hair cut.

Just wanted to check in for a minute before we head to Mr. Guys PT and wish the Helias a happy anniversary. I am so lax in doing this for everyone. I will try to do better. Sometimes I just don't peek in until too late.

Had a night's sleep from and got very interrupted sleep on and off and off and on all night. Am not in a "joyous mood" today. A med change has me napping 1.5 hours in the afternoon, 2 days in a row, so now the nighttime sleep is messed up. Contacted my nurse. Am awaiting a reply.

It's sunny and hot here today.

I wrote a letter to a pal, DH will mail it, I took purple nail polish off and am waffling between polishing my nails red or a frosted pearly peach. I'm leaning towards pearly peach for summery weather.

My pen pal got a print-out on Pam & Peggy's book/system, I told her about their file box idea, and FlyLady's books and system, too. I'm sure she can find books in the library if she's interested or in the organizing section of the book store or have the bookstore order them for her. I think she might be interested in trying something new, since she's retired and on S. S. and lives alone, but has family over often, baby-sits, etc.. It's always good to get the word out to folks who might benefit from either system.

Kathryn, The Fenway game sounds fun for your DH.

DH is so slow to move today, but at least he finally did s2s. I'll get mine in this afternoon, shampoo, after the mail comes. My day's started a bit "off", due to the sleep pattern of the wee a.m. hours.

Hi. Waiting for some rain here. Not 5+" like you, Dee, I hope.

Dragging myself around, getting something done. Mail to mailbox. I don't even want to go out in this heat / humidity. I'd never be able to stand Arizona. LOL spinning. Dishwasher ready to unload. Pitiful small list today.

Having a tough day. I keep "hearing" things in the house. Had to close the laundry room door, the washer noise kept sounding like someone in the house. Earlier I "heard" someone tapping at the door and I saw strange car in driveway. It belonged to new helper, I'd never seen it. Noone there. I'm not usually this jumpy. And not scared to be in the house alone. Oh well. Cope. Cope.

I ended up making some mashed potatoes for DH and LO lunch side dish. Turnip's are "not their favorite" which is what we have taught LO to say if he doesn't like a food. The potatoes I used were Klondike Rose. The skin of the potatoes were red and the inside was yellowish. Although they were a bit strange looking the guys declared them "the best potatoes ever".

We all laid down for a nap however it was interrupted when LO pee-ologist office called to confirm his appointment.

I'm experimenting with a sugar free chocolate bar recipe. I have low expectations.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, HELIA & DH!

Hello everyone! It is very breezy here with lots of cloud cover, only 87* now. Wow, Dee, so sorry you are having so much flooding in your area. We're supposed to get some rain tomorrow.

Ds#2 and dfam came yesterday. Ddil made sausage with onions and peppers (yellow, red & green). I made rice and succotash to go with. They also brought us some groceries. While she did their own shopping she found some buy 1 get 1 free, so brought us the extras. We sure were not expecting that! We're having left-overs today.

Chocolate chip waffles sounds good, too, Harriet.

Just having an easy day, I am. I spent a little time at my desk, filing a pile of papers - mostly medical for dh. Also getting caught up on my calendar to see what's coming up in the next few weeks. I have a few little craft projects I want to get done and of course, there is always sewing I can do.

Haven't cuop. DGSs 9&14 have been viewing things on here for the last couple of hours. They're so easy to have over. DXDIL is on her way here to pick dgs14 up to take him home. Parts of the main road are washed out between here and our town (this is the same road dh was trying to drive down this morning). Here there are lots of spots washed out on the roadways, a sinkhole in one of the lawns, the beach is absolutely washed away. At one point dcampowner thought about shutting down the campground and turning off the electric. But, dmanager pointed out that lots of permanents have no place else to go unless they go to a hotel. Which they would do if push came to shove. Farm above us on a more accurate rain gauge has 9+". Water is beginning to recede a bit.

We are going to Boulder Hall for potluck after all -have lots of leftovers from a graduation party yesterday and with other dishes, we should be fine. The trick will be to get from here to there. I can't just walk out to my car -need boards to even get to the driveway. Not like the others with their flip flops.

Dh has spent his day off -working of course. Going to be a mighty expensive venture to fix everything, but it could be oh so much worse. People will pitch in and help and I think dcampowner is relieved to know that. Not sure his insurance is going to cover flood damage -hard to even get flood insurance here and too expensive if we could.

Understand the Nat'l weather service is calling for another round about 8 o'clock. People already have fish in their yards. But if that's the worst of it, they'll be getting off lightly. There was a point that you could not get out of here except in a bigger truck.
