I have tidied up the kit. Counters. Looks better but I don't have the dishes loaded yet. Counters are looking great! Yea for that progress.

Filled water bottles I need a spot for empty plastic jugs we are collecting for painting the house. When it cools off a bit.

GD16 is doing fairly well, Helia. Always pushing buttons but she's not gaining anything there. Big teller will be when she goes to high school in a couple of weeks.

DGS arrived @ 10:00 a.m. b/c ds had to make-up a banjo lesson, earlier time than usual. After that, ds plans to go take care of getting his tag transferred to the new truck, and then he's coming over to run and walk with me. I've got a load of laundry in the washer, but I'm a little off my regular routine b/c of dgs's arrival.

We saw Get On Up -- the James Brown movie -- last night. It was VERY good!!! Whether that is your kind of music or not, which it is definitely NOT ours * see banjo, above, LOL * -- as we were saying when we left the theater, you have to admire James Brown for coming from such a hard childhood to achieve the success he did. And the actor who plays him -- Chadwick Boseman, who also played Jackie Robinson in that bio-pic -- is GREAT.

Waving to ALL!!! Hope y'all have a great day!!!
Tomorrow is another day.

No rest for me yet. I can't believe how far behind everything got. I've updated 5 files and there's 1 left to do. One of those files had 3 pages and I had to start from scratch and create it all over again because I could not find it saved anywhere. I was tempted to name the new file DO NOT DELETE because this one needs to stay as long as we live in this house. Even though I am pretty fast creating / updating / printing spreadsheets, this was a lot of work to do this morning.

Now my back is sore from sitting here. I think I tense up when I'm working and concentrating this hard.

Have to tackle that one last file and write a check, go to bank, then get some groceries. I can feel my pillow calling me for a nap.

Harmony: I'm still struggling to get things under control from when I was sick 2 years ago. I figure recovery will take a really long time.

Dh is having a bad day at work. He's working with code he wrote 7 years ago and apparently didn't make enough comments in the code, nor document it, so he's not impressed with what he has to work with. Maybe he'll be more understanding of bad code he gets from others now that he has proof he doesn't always do as he says himself.

I've done a load of laundry, sorted out vitamins for the trip, made a good lunch for myself, started dinner in the crock pot (late but it is on high so will be done in time) and have sent off another invite to the open house. I suspect not many people will come because it is summer time and they have other things to do even if they are in the city. We've only invited about 20 households. Sent birthday wishes to my minister friend (and an invite for him to come to dinner on Sunday since he can't make the open house easily because his church is so far away.)

Next up is grocery shopping. Dh might come with me just because he wants an excuse to walk away from work for a bit.

I've set my timer for 15-minutes and have worked 3 times to = 45 minutes so far. I'm warm, sweating, had to put on a cotton short-sleeved t-shirt:
Done:
x grout around faucet and spigot and stainless steel sink. (Need help w/1 stubborn spot.)
x dumped trash
x #2 LOL is washing, #1 is drying
x tidied up the bed better
x tidied up the kitchen, dining room table, my great room end table, and my yarn totes.
x did QT, wrote in journals
x got out 10 journals, from my hope chest, to read through for story ideas, sentimental reasons, etc...

Plan to:
- finish LOL
- write letters
- crochet
- do yoga/stretching (did some, but need more)
- help put away Costco stuff, when DH and Dgs arrive
- help sort/purge mail
- journal some more.
- get DH to contribute to the ARC donation today. Procrastinator.

Finishing the LOL and stretching/yoga are crucial. :!: If the other items on my list don't get finished by me, it's okay. Am starting to ache now, so it's time to go stretch.

Today is baking day for me. We have a memorial service at the church on Saturday and I've given up begging for help. I'll do it myself.
I'm using cake mixes with embelishment. Each mix makes 2 doz. I've made lemon coconut, chocolate with dried
cherries are in the oven and spice with golden raisens is next.

We will use any leftovers for fellowship on Sunday. Oops oven just dinged. TTFN
