Home again....need to get busy.

-lunch
-reheat lasagne sauce to put lasagne together later
-reboot laundry
-text ds about timing for tomorrow
-clear kitchen table
-take out chicken for dinner tonight

Ooohhh -- I'm having a good start to the day! Tripping over the vacuum cleaner -- but that's a good thing. For ONCE, I have an empty house!!! DH is playing golf, dgs is still on the road, and it is WONDERFUL to be able to clean without worrying about bothering someone or having to WATCH someone!
So far, I have spent a little more than 30 minutes in the zone of my study/entry. Dusted high/low and vacuumed. It's a large room, with a lot of knick-knacks and photographs on the shelves.
I also started my day w/a short floor exercise routine, weighed/recorded, ate breakfast, and s/s all bathrooms.
My big plan for the day is to vacuum the rest of the living area (den/kitchen/dining, bath, utility room) & master bedroom/bath.
Also need to call dmom again today -- she never returned my call last night -- and I'd like to call daunt. Today would have been dcousin's 48th birthday.

Started reading Joyce Meyer's Living Beyond Your Feelings last night, and already gained a very good bit of wisdom from it: "You can feel wrong and still do what is right."
That sorta struck me -- I often feel lazy and discouraged and make excuses for why I'm not doing * whatever * -- but it doesn't matter how I FEEL, I can still do the right thing. Which today is... vacuuming.

Hope you and Ken feel much better soon, Kathryn. And ds... this "bug" is really hanging on, isn't it? Hope you have safe travels!

Hello Dear Ladies,

Well Dson-18 is doing well. The procedure took awhile-4.5 hours, they would phone us each hour with an update. Two problems were found and fixed. The doctor admitted it became somewhat of a challenge to him to fix both of them but feels confident that everything went well with a 90 percent chance this is the end of rapid heart rate.

Because of being two problems, they kept him overnight. The doctor wanted him on the heart floor but there wasn't a bed available there so he spent the night in ICU instead. And even though he wasn't really an ICU patient, they kept the same rules for him and there were large blockages of time where we couldn't see him. Dson-18 said: "Mom and Dad, please go home and rest. I'm just going to sleep a lot anyway." So we left and collapsed at home. got up early this morning and brought him home. He was really hungry for a Subway sandwich so we stopped on the way home for lunch. Also when we left him yesterday, DH grabbed his phone and boots so nobody would take them. Then this morning both of us thought the other one had grabbed his boots but neither of us did. So he was wheeled out in his socks, got in the Suburban and then we stopped at Academy and got him some sneakers.

I said something always has to go wrong and if it is just forgetting his boots then that will be fine. He is home in the recliner watching a Simpson marathon. Needs to take it easy for two weeks, no lifting, just rest and he should be fine. He said he could feel the difference in his heart, that it felt good to him.

I am just incredible tired and sore. Sitting in hospital chairs for hours is very hard on the body.

Puttering around the house a bit, there is lots to do.

So glad to hear good news from Sadie's ds!!! Perfect time for a Simpson's marathon! Hope you can ALL get some rest and relaxation now.

I had to rescue a hen holding up my walking stick holloring at two dogs (that looked li like white german Shepards) that mauled our fav. Hen, a neighbor yelled and scared the dogs off the hen Casey ran for cover a bock away. I retrieved the hen from under a bush was careful not to trip on the way home with her tucked under my arm, she is molting & feathers were everywhere. She is limping, in isolation now has laid one broken egg I am relieved that it passed; hoping she recovers but she is the one that is always out. Not her first close call.

2 Hen mamas are in the run with chicks. I pulled all eggs left from under the last best yesterday to go in the trash today.

Sadie, so glad that all went well and that ds is recuperating at home. ((Hugs))

Done with that round, waiting on person who is to give me shelves in the pantry quote. Late....

Glad to hear ds-18 is doing well, Sadie. So nice to hear he can feel the good effects!

Another 30 minutes, approximately -- all vacuuming done except master bedroom & bath.
