Hanging the curtains took longer than I expected. I took the time to do a repair job on curtain hanger. That room is used hard by little grandkids and the curtain hanger had some damage. The windows & curtains now look nice and smell fresh. I took the keyboard out of LO room. He never plays it (only plays drums) so it had no reason to be there. That frees up a 2'x4' area in his bedroom.

Next up -
** Prep lunch & log servings into MFP
** Review & add to notes on today's Bible story (David spares Saul).
** 3 minute quick clean in dining room

Morning ya'll...

A very merry B'day to you Nancy. You look marvelous in your new birthday outfit :D

LM... there's a reason I've earned the nickname "Gracie" in my family. I have fallen off of more pairs of shoes than I can to mention. I hate flip flops and can't stand to wear them so I have been spared your dilemma. However I have found other shoes to fall off of. Once when I was leaving the Dayton Speed Track I fell off my platform shoes and almost twisted my ankle. This was back in the mid-70's when the track was surrounded by dirt. My then husband got so mad at me ...because this had happened several times before...that he threw my shoes out in the field and made me walk barefooted to the car.

I have all my morning routines done. Today I'm gonna pull out my suitcase and start getting everything ready to pack. I'm sending through one suitcase and will have one carry on just in case... will pack an extra set of clothes for both of us and most importantly, our bathing suits. I can live like that for a week if I have to.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NANCY!

Just wanted to come by and say hello once I was back here doing computer things. I worked last evening till 9:30, updating all my files and spreadsheets and all is current now...and all bills are paid, etc. Usually that work the evening before will free up a morning, but not today. Phone calls and people, etc. have roadblocked any progress I made. I don't know why things have taken this long, and that is frustrating, but such is life!

Have to go to bank once again, go to county office, and drop books at library. Several other things wait...

:D BIG HAPPY B-DAY WISHES TO NANCY!!! :D

 There is a super website called "24 Hours of Happy," with Pharrell Williams' song "Happy". I LOVE ♥ to go there in the morning- or whenever- I feel like hearing happy music and seeing happy people dance.

http://www.24hoursofhappy.com

I went to use my inhaler, it was D-E-A-D! :x :!: It's my "rescue" inhaler! :!:  I had 52 - 54 inhalations LEFT, but nope! Deader than a door nail. :? I called my nurse. She said, "My, you go through these SO FAST!" :?: :?: :?:

I said, "WHAT????" :?:

She said, "The last time I ordered you one was 2012!" She was pulling my leg because I have QVAR, as a maintenance inhaler now, 2 x daily, and rarely use the rescue inhaler. It's been 2 full years since I'd had a new rescue inhaler. So I'm very proud of myself for not needing it so much because the QVAR works so well for me. Is that tooting my horn? I mean, I'm not trying to brag. I'm just so happy I need to be rescued less frequently now, which means I'm better health-wise where asthma is concerned.

Oh, I got up, did s2s, did breakfast, coffee, and listened to Happy on my computer, 2 times, and they're always different, when I go on-line, so I've never seen any 2 videos twice. :) I entered my sweepstakes, on-going until Oct. 5. Daily, I do this, hoping.... If I don't win, it's okay because once I won recipe for the month at that site and once I won an autographed cookbook, by the author. It's not like I'm "loser", is what I'm saying. But it's fun to enter, you just never know unless you try.

LadyM, It's good you got the curtains taken care of. :) OH, NO! :o You fell again!?!? That's not good. Do you ever wear lace-up shoes? Like running or jogging shoes? They work great for me. DH used to work on cement floors, they used to wear safety boots, but then went to the jogging/athletic lace-up shoes. It was easier on their feet, too. You can get psychedelic colors nowadays or neon colors for style and brightness, too. I'm going to get some later this fall, too.

Nancy, Congratulations on your new outfit. :)

I'd better run. Have a great day!
Waving to Harriet, Helia, Booksaver, Harmony, Sadie, RR, Kathryn, and Everybody! :D And Lynlee and Lucylee.

Waiting for dh. My hair is done and looks good but nothing special.

I have burned my bureau and singed my large jewelry box with my straight iron so my stylist recommended a mat that can take the heat.

On Friday, DH and I had a minor "tiff". Nothing major, but it upset me to make me roll my eyes  and bite my tongue.

On Saturday, DD called, all cheerful and said, "Boy! You and Dad have your 44th Wedding Anniversary coming up on Friday! That's a lot of years!" :P

I said,"Too many- sometimes,too." :? :o

She said, "Oh? Was it one of those days?" :?:

I said, "Yesterday sure was!" and we laughed!

THIS a.m., I was having an asthma attack, DH did not know, I did not tell him, but at the same time he was asking, "Do you want me to fix your coffee? Do you want coffee?" :?:

I said, "I CAN'T have coffee. I haven't even eaten yet or had meds or ANYTHING. No, I don't want coffee." :!:

He said, "I don't need all the explanations! :!:  I just needed a SIMPLE NO!" :!:

Later, of course, I explained to him about my asthma attack at the same time he'd asked. We've kissed and made up, but I'm wondering if we're going to survive it to Friday on our 44th wedding anniversary!?!" It's like every other day we have a "misunderstanding". I can't figure it OUT. We're getting along wonderfully all the time, except for a moment every other day or so, when we get confused with each other. I guess marriage is like this? :?: I love him dearly, it was love ♥ at first sight for me and like last night, TV was on. The "America's Ninja Warrior" was on. There was a contestant, who was called "The Adonis". I laughed about it. Last night, DH kissed me goodnight. I said, "I love you, my Adonis!" He laughed and said, "Sure... yeh.... right!" And we both laughed about each other. I have photos of him, at age 18, 22, and 28 on my office wall and he was a HUNK, for sure! So yes, to me, he IS my Adonis. ;) I just hope the rest of our week goes more smoothly than Friday and this morning did. It's so unusual for us to do this. I'm concerned about a dental appt., whether I'll have a root canal or crown put on new, I'm concerned about his insulin/drug study med being increased now for the second time, and I think I'm worried about little things I have no control over. BUT when I do my ROUTINES, putter, declutter, and do housework, and feather my nest and add order to our environment, things seem like the glasses are rosy, which I look out of and all is right with the world and our relationship and ALL relationships in general. I'll try to do things today, so I can come back later and TRULY TOOT MY HORN! :!: :P

Have nothing to toot my horn for today, I'm afraid. For some reason I'm just feeling "under par". Can't figure out how I actually 'feel' -just know I don't feel 'good'. And we're going out for dinner with 3 other couples in about 2 hours. Took a couple of ty lenol a while ago to see if that helped. DGS and I have done nothing so far today. I did quickly make the bed (which is in dire need of the laundry), did dishes, got my hair washed and changed my clothes. Oh I did that renewal packet for next year's RV site -that was a while. Wrote the $500 deposit and drove the car across the campground to pay for an alteration on a pair of pants for dh. I just realized Sunday that they were too big for him -same size as I always buy. But I bought them too long ago to even know where I got them. Cost me nearly as much for the alteration as it did for the slacks. But they'll last him for a looong time.

Have to take dgs9 to meet DS-R in about 20 minutes or so. They're on a slim time track and I figure meeting him will save a few minutes. They have to take dgs to school to take all his supplies & orientation, etc before 5. DDIl usually gets today off or at least ds does -neither one could get it off. And I never realized until last night that I would have dgs today. He's always no problem -I just couldn't get to the laundry. Ahhh, the days when the washer/dryer were just off the kitchen! Miss that.

Happy Birthday, Nancy! Enjoy your special day!

I'm typing to the sound of thunder. No rain so far, but I've been watching this storm move past a little south of us.

I was awake as usual around 8 am and after taking care of my normal routine: breakfast, kitchen cleanup, bed & bath tidy, etc. I had to lay back down. I had not a headache but sinus pain behind my ear towards the back of my head. Anyway, I took some aspirin and had a nap and feel much better. I till take it easy the rest of the afternoon and just putter.

Wanted to wish Sherinjoy and dh Happy Anniversary!

LadyM, take care of those knees!

It was nice to hear that both Helia and Twins' had a nice weekend! And RRose you are so looking forward to your trip with Sweetie!

Today is the first day of new school year for Northern dgd17 and dgs12. They are now a senior and 7th grader. They both told me last time I talked with them they were looking forward to the new school year.
