Feline Friend I've read books like that. I suppose we all have (thinking of Little Women!) Just this week, a new FB friend who is a Science Fiction book reviewer asked the question "what book was recommended to you that you just hate." That sparked good conversation and the line, "if you would not be upset if any of the characters died in the next few paragraphs, maybe you shouldn't bother finishing the book!" (and then the caveat that he has to finish all the books he's handed to review, as much of a chore that might be.

Biked to the outdoor store and got a different bike computer. I hope this one lives up to the reviews. Then dh came home and I biked on to the library, the bulk food store, the mall (looking for a coat) and had a Subway lunch. Found only one coat that fit and was suitable but it was over $200 and looked awful on me so I'll wait. That was a The Coat Store. I went in asking if they had 2x coats and she said they did but it wouldn't be the right size. We started with a 20W and she was right, it was too large. I ended up with a 14W which fit fine (except wasn't cut nicely and was too short for my purposes.)

So I went off to Sears, hopeful. They had up to 16 (and one 18) none of which fit. Nor would any of the XL go around my hips (literally, sometimes the material failed to meet by 8".) Yet I swam in the 20W. So I seem to be an in-between size. Sigh..... I know I can't lose enough between now and cold weather to fit my own coats so I need something. In the meantime, I'll hope for a mild winter!

I'm home now. I tried downloading a bike software app for my phone but without pockets I had no place to put my phone that it was handy to start and stop the app. Then, in the elevator, I dropped the contents of my backpack just as the doors opened for my floor, and in the scramble to get everything and keep the elevator from closing on my bike, I managed to delete the record of my ride home. So I'm not sure an app will work for me. (The advantage is that it covers elevation as well.)

I'll hope for a mild winter!

Good luck with that, Kathryn. Hope it is for yours & many others sakes. However I know it wouldn't be good DS-A's. So I'm danged if I do and danged if I don't.

Done dinner and have it cleaned up. Dh and I both think that this kitchen is much easier to clean up. Of course, with the smaller dishwasher (and only a set of 8 dishes) we are running the dishwasher nightly so that helps make cleanup faster (things go right into the dishwasher rather than me thinking about whether I'll wash by hand or not.)

Now to start reading my books. Not sure how to do this, 30 minutes with each, maybe?

At some point, I'm assuming dh will want me to sing as well.

I have 1 LOL drying, 1 LOL to start on a timer, emptied the DW, cleaned 1 photo frame of a lighthouse for the main/guest nautical seaside theme bathroom, and cleaned 1 framed calligraphy quote, for my bunny room desk. I cleaned the kitchen counters, worked on my holiday planner, got the gifts-to-make written out with goal completion dates for them, and started a letter to a dear friend. I'm crocheting on a Christmas afghan while I watch the Spartans play the Oregon Ducks. DH is at a funeral or wake; we didn't know what they intended to have. On-line, one of the condolences messages said they were sorry they'd miss the wake. Nevertheless, it's catered by the deceased friend's favorite restaurant and attendees were asked to wear U of W (he graduated from there) attire or purple, which are U of W colors.

I wanted to sweep and mop the master bathroom and powder room and guest main bathroom floors, wash the rugs in there, too, but the back hurts above the ribs, so that idea doesn't sound too tempting to try to accomplish today. I plan to do it tomorrow, when DH is here. Perhaps he'll mop with his fragrant mop solution in a special mop thing he has. I forget what brand it is. But the soap in it, leaves a nice lingering scent. I suppose tomorrow is as good of a day as any, to get all the 3 bathrooms' rugs washed and floors swept and mopped then. It's like I have enough to do already today. I can't very well get all the snail mail done today, plus read, plus finish a Christmas afghan. There is such a thing as "overload".

Went to dinner a r. Lob. They sang the bday song to every else the fam. Forgot to tell em it was my bday meal sigh so my family sang to me outside after I said I was. NOt coming back here bc of it. Some had to tell some one about vomit in the bathroom. Sigh not my best dining experience.

Trying not to let this get to me.

Got a birthstone ring at Wmart have wanted since since I was 12, it was time!
