LM: yes, your dh is a nice guy. BTW: even if they don't have SIM card with a plan or prepaid time, phones can be used for making 911 calls so that's another plus to him having one. As long as he doesn't try to make the call from Medicine Park!

Feline Friend Great job on getting a piece of Christmas finished. I'm slightly jealous but mainly in awe.

Dinner is done. I had success using another cooking technique from my Rocco Dispirito books. I'm not using the recipes much but I've learned a few things about how to cook so the time spent pouring over these books has been well spent.

I'm going to watch a tv show while cleaning up the kitchen but first I'm making up the lesson plan for the Sunday School.

Sitting here after a tough day with no water overnight and well into today. Dd went to stay at a friend's last night while HRH and I slept here, but then got up with the 6:00 alarm to go out to breakfast. Dsonil arrived not long before the well guy. They worked together with HRH hovering, for a couple hours. I brought everyone sandwiches and bottled water. We were so grateful when the water was back. One toilet is acting iffy since having no water for a while. HRH thinks he can fix that. New pump looks great. All so neat. Dd came home and she and I went out to grocery.

Back here, HRH made spaghetti, mostly to please dstepson. It was all very good. Dstepson and dd washed the dishes because they deemed me too tired.

During a break in the day, I had HRH open his present from me. ♥ I think for once he was genuinely excited about a present! It took forever to unwrap, since I left it in the wrapping from overseas so as to keep the address clear. He and dstepson worked together for about 5 mintues before they freed it! LOL. He just loves it. Loves the story of the place and the wood. He's already talking about what he will hang from the top carving. Tobias walked up and down the length of packaging and staff for a long time, sniffing the ❀ faraway place!

DH is home. While at the hospital he got a call from MPB about equipment failure. He came back to fix it.

Our state college football game is on TV here. DH is going to be able to watch the second half. DSon is at the game. I've seen pictures on FB of DSon and 5 of his college buddies at the game. They are having a good time. DSon called yesterday as he was driving to the game and said he is in the "dog house" for too many back-to-back trips. He leaves from the game tomorrow and goes to his next work project in different state. DDIL isn't pleased. I don't blame her. HOpefully DSon will make some adjustments.

After blasting me publicly for being a horrible person over and over and over during the past month, DD has now removed all her posts about me and sent me an email saying how much she misses me and asking to be reunited with her Dad and I. Typical bi-polar type behavior. Wild Manic....depressed....then a period of normal before the cycle begins again. It took me many hours of prayer and thought to be able to respond to DD request in a way that I won't be ashamed of. I don't know how to stop loving her, but it sometimes takes all the courage, grit and patience I can dig up in order to have a relationship with her. My thoughts remain on DGD3. I am afraid for what she is living through.

(((Kathryn))), I hope the tooth won't bother you. Sometimes people leave them chipped until able to have time or $ to get them fixed, or get them fixed right away.

I'm not quite finished with the Christmas afghan. I'm on the first round of edging around and have made it around yet. But I'll try to get it done by Sunday night. I had a story hit my brain, which I'm fleshing out the plotting on tonight. It's a story DD and I talked about back in 2006. I feel it's "time" to get it written.

Ate dinner, DH is watching the Mariner's game, and we don't know what we'll watch after that. It's kind of a slow-moving day, although I did 2 LOL, re-did the dining room table and wrote 2 letters this a.m.

I need to get my evening routine done, but already brushed and flossed. I need to get clothes out, etc... write my to do list and want to read on an e-book, too. I have 1 b-day card to get written out, 3 letters to write, but what I can't do today, there's always tomorrow or Monday. I have a story to edit to add 65 words to, then do the headers on it, print it up with a cover letter by Monday. It'll go to "Woman's World" Magazine.

LadyM, I feel for you with your DD. It's too bad she's not proactive enough to take her meds and see a Dr. regularly because her life would be much more pleasant and productive for her and nice for those around her, too. I know bipolar people and they take their medications, are career people, and lead great lives, too. It's sad your DD hasn't figured that out yet. It's heart-breaking!

Sunday school took longer than usual because I'm combining two lessons so we won't run out of time before Christmas. Had to find the fresh ink for the copier. I will have to buy another black soon since I always like to have one on hand. Thankfully, we unpacked it to a logical spot!

I've also cleaned up the kitchen. Off to bed now.

Ds got up and showered. Then I made him eat. I didn't want him heading off on a 6 hours overnight shift without any food in his stomach.

Back from the memorial service I went with h. After all. Did okay at the pot luck lunch. It was snacking after that got me. service was nice the grandson did goid at a reading of his memories of his grandpa and choice of music, the pastor dc read the obit, the small hall was full. I knew of the family h. Worked with several of the brothers over the years I was glad I went. Got out of town for a bit.

Groc. run done. Found another of those knock out roses I want for the back yard rose I want I like it so much. Hens & chicks were fine when we got home.

We have been wanting a jeep for ever, h. Has spotted a used one not quite the size of motor he wanted looks good to me. Keeping this issue in prayer for now.

I have made some progress on the tote bag I am crocheting.

I finished the short story for Woman's World Magazine. I edited and edited. I printed the story up, found a comma out of place, had to edit that, reprint it. I did the cover letter, too, got it bundled up into a manila envelope with an SASE to be sent out Monday. It's 800 words for light romantic fiction and pays $800. It would be nice to finally make it into their magazine. You go through a sorting editor in SC, then it goes to the fiction editor, and if she likes it, it's sent to the Senior Editor. If the Senior Editor likes it, you get accepted, but if she rejects you, you get your 1st page of your story and rejection letter sent back to you from Seattle. The experts say if you get a rejection from them, postmarked Seattle, you'll know you almost made it! I ALMOST MADE IT ONCE!!!!! Yes! I got a rejection postmarked from Seattle! They took MONTHS to make their decision, too. I kept waiting and waiting and DH said "They must like your story or it wouldn't take this long. Look, you didn't get an immediate rejection." Sure enough, I did, but it's great it came from Seattle. They have a Christmas story, too, but I forgot to write "Seasonal" on the manila envelope. OOPS. I just wrote Romantic Fiction. So I don't know if it would be a black mark on me and instant rejection or not. I sent it out in June, 6 months prior to the December issues, as you're supposed to. I expect to hear by December, November probably, if not before. It's a cute romantic fiction story with a cute punchline, like the story I finished tonight, too. They DO love cute punchlines.

DH is watching "Hercules," until 11:30 p.m. I'm slowly getting ready for tomorrow. I didn't complete the edging on the afghan because I got tied up with my story. I needed to "switch tasks", anyway, as they say. Can't focus on something forever or hyper-focus or you get burnt out.
