SHEs Organized

Off for a nap but before I could nap I hung up the load of fine washables. But before I could hang up the clothes, I had to vacuum the bedroom. And I tossed on another load of laundry. The previous items took me long enough that the extra load of laundry is in the dryer now, another load in the washer but on hold until the dishwasher stops running.

So there was a brief burst of activity before my nap and hopefully more after.

Back home from the wedding and in comfortable clothes. The ones I had on were comfy enough just not housework fare. This had to be one of the most fun weddings I've been to in some time. How great it was to see our pastor and a good friend from church tie the knot. She's from TX and it looks like she'll be staying a while. We just love her! She had talked at one time about "how can I date a congregant?" But I think higher powers had different ideas. Not a soul in our church was ever the least bit unhappy.

Dh changed his clothes and sneaked out to go to dgs15's last race. It's gotten very cloudy again -hope he doesn't encounter rain. Temp is only about 50 with the wind blowing at a good clip.

I'm home alone tonight and about everyone seems to be gone. Doubt if DS-R & family are coming this weekend. Next weekend is supposed to be really crummy -mixed precipitation by Sunday. It's the last weekend for 'seasonal' campers to come in and it's a 3-day weekend with Columbus Day. Really doubt more than the die hards will be here though.

I'm back to way-too-busy again. Nothing new there.

More computer problems which I discover are from the last fire fox update. PDF files do not download without using the adobe...the default is their own ...something..... which opens tab after tab after tab ad nauseum. Once I figured out to not use their program it all worked again. A week's worth of email reports, invoices, etc. had to be printed off then and dealt with. I also worked on security different places and changed passwords...dh does not know what his passwords are anywhere, he lets the computer remember, and good luck changing settings without passwords..

...sigh...... this technology is supposed to be saving us time. Right.

DSiL came by to take us to someone's house who needs work completed that her DH got stalled and never finished, so we spent a couple hours out in the country with them. She likes to drag me along because I keep track of things and write things down, etc., it's hard being the only organized brain in the family. Actually, it's a lot of work.

I do not have anything for dinner. It's too late to go out. What to do, what to do...

Went to spinning mtg. 12 there it is growing.
H is getting oil chg in the truck after wk.
I got my walk done.
Did chg meal plan for dinner.
Flipped laundry remembered Rx dose.

I was too tired to cook and dh is working hard so I reheated leftover pizza from a few weeks ago.

The laundry is all done for today. I have one more load but it needs to hang to dry and the drying rack is occupied.

I'm slowly putting things away, literally one item at a time and often making a bigger mess. For instance, I had rooted a spider plant just before leaving the house and left it behind because it was just in a glass. Besides, it offered a bit of life in a lifeless house. Brought it home yesterday but by now it is quite large. Also brought potting soil so had to dig out my bin of plant supplies, find a pot and then pot it. That meant making several messes and I just noted one I have failed to clean up.

While having the rolling shelves out of the storage closet (to get the potting bin and light bulbs for the lights we brought back) I noted a bin of toy cars in there. I'll take out a selection for here and take the rest to be stored at ds's. I'm storing most of the "Nana Toys" there until I need them. I have kept a small amount of Duplo and a few other little things for children to play with here but we really don't know many children.

I hear dh moving around so suspect he might be ready for a walk now. It is dark but I wanted him to at least get some fresh air today.

How cool is it there, Kathryn? Dh left the wedding reception to head to dgs15's race. It was 52 and sunny when he left that town. By the time he got near the track it was 38 & dark -it got rained out. Sad in a way because DS-A will be on their cruise next week when the makeup is scheduled. But actually the weather isn't sounding great for then either. It was beautiful all day for the wedding and was looking very dark as we returned home too.

Dh has put all the blinds down trying to conserve some heat -it's down to about 45 now. I just can't seem to get warm tonight. It's going for 9pm so think I'll hang it up and simply crawl under the covers.

Dee: it is warmer here, 52 right now. And no rain although it rained a lot in the daytime. At supper the clouds broke and we had a lovely sunset with contrasts - dark clouds and streams of light like spot lights on some of the turned leaves.

I wore my coat for our walk and am sweating now. We walked up to the store and picked up milk and eggs.

I worked on a spreadsheet statement for a while. DH and I discussed a job and arrived at a price to charge. I'll bet that took a couple hours. We're both exhausted now. I'm having trouble getting my mind off business, we have so much going on right now.

We had a frozen pizza for dinner. I can only eat a tiny sliver because of the sauce, but it left lots to fill him up. I did get the kitchen cleaned up and dishes done.

Harriet, sorry to read your upholstery wasn't done the best it could be. Maybe you should have done it yourself? Thinking about what a huge job that would be.

I must remember to take that comforter I sewed along tomorrow and drop off at the lady's house. I'll be glad to have that reminder out of here.

I noticed it was cooler this evening. In the 70's; it rained a few times off and on today, I guess that's why. My seeds are all sprouting, all but one spot. They're loving the rain.
