I don't know if I mentioned on Friday that the court order I rec'd to see dsis' house was dated as October 7, 2012. S0 this morning have called to ask for a correction which will be faxed to the title company, with the original coming to me in the mail later this week.

Beyond that, I am heavily into procrastinating this morning. A.m. routine....
-quick s2s
-make the bed
-start a lol
-clear kitchen table
-answer an email

HRH says to tell Ken in Canada he should of known better than to have bought that house from Mr. Haney. You can't plug in a 2 with a 6 while you're running the kitchen on the generator.

(smile) this was our plight (and HRH's favorite joke) when I would forget  and run small appliances while the washing machine and dryer were going. We had to have another outlet installed.

I've been quite glad HRH was home today. A huge hawk scared the hens, brazenly roosting on top of their pen. Thankfully, it couldn't get in but the intimidation was bad! HRH was frying up crab cakes for our little lunch and saw it out the window. At first it looked like one of the old crow decoys that we have perched there permanently. But it was about 4 times as big! Of course it scramed for the woods as we opened the door, but HRH got in a shot into the air and we saw the hawk "duck" in flight. So maybe he won't be back. Unfortunately, that might just scare the chickens more to have a big noise. He went in the house and talked to them but they don't understand English, so I doubt they were reassured much.

Turkey is in the oven. Cookies are made, cooled, tested, and plated with lots of plastic wrap so dh doesn't have to smell the chocolate.

Silver is polished.

Table is about 80% set. Starting to look great!

Dishwasher is run and the dishes are air drying. All other dishes have been washed up and the counters wiped down.

I should probably get dressed.

My minister friend is on his way now but will stop at the hospital first to do a pastoral care visit.

I need to make up a list of things yet to do. Like make the punch.

Happy Thanksgiving, Kathryn. Smells good.

I've been so busy all morning that this is the first I've even peeked in. Now to cuop. Just finished my lunch (homemade manhattan clam chowder). Yum!

I was up doing laundry and of course it began to rain -cold rain. DDIL was washing their bedding & forgot her quarters so I told her I'd put them in. AND if she had things to do at the RV for closing up, I was staying there, waiting for mine to dry and I'd just put her sheets, etc. in. That way she had an hour & a half. Besides I needed dgs9's small hand. Somehow my phone fell down under the edge of my seat and I absolutely couldn't get it out with anything I had -including my hand. He did right away. Gave him some change as I'd already told him I'd gladly PAY him to retrieve my phone before it started ringing -with his Mom giving me that 'look' :? My last chance to spoil this year.

Dh went with DS-R to get more anti-freeze. DS needed some for his camper as well. It was $1.99 for the first 2 gallons and $2.99 after that. They bought a cover for their 5th wheel this year but I'm almost betting they won't put it on today. Because now the RV is wet.

Going to finish packing my last suitcase and get that in the trunk (she says hopefully). Now I'm hoping I have room for everything I want to take. :?

Just glancing at the news with lunch, my goodness I hope things are not too bad for Japan in the face of another new cyclone(typhoon). 100,000 evacuated now.

And I suppose we are witnessing a reason that hospitals everywhere spend so much money on facades and appearance. ( A complaint around here.) You never know when helicopters will be circling, sending 360-degree film images of every angle from the air, and views of every entrance, dumpster and shrub, to viewers all around the world. Wow.

Missed a call from a cousin who didn't leave a message, and whom I now can't reach, so I'm worried. HRH says, "yes, honey, they dialed you with their last strength and the next call was to "91_" right before fainting, and whatever happens, it's all your fault."

Reminding me, I don't think I came back here to tell that HRH was able to sit down with friend and his wife who were worried about prostate cancer. They could all share stories of others whose treatments were not so bad, and afforded long life. Not that HRH knows more than the general population does, but he's good for this friend to talk to. He thinks friend is very sobered to start facing up to health concerns and just needs some time to put it all into perspective. Plus wife has never come to grips with the idea of her husband as a regular fragile human, and has kept this false idea of his "always" being strong.

Nancy, I'm wondering if feathers were fluffed out on this one because it was "shaking off" taking a nosedive into the top fencing of the pen, thinking it could swoop in. (Looked fat like an owl until it flew.) Maybe it wasn't really so big, and a hit like that would also explain why the hens were so upset. We've gotten so we can hardly bear to let them into the grass unless we are out there.

Twins' Mom, you have been so conscientious on your sister's behalf.

Made a list.

Tidied the apartment (stash and dash mostly).

Got clothes on.

Probably should have done it in opposite order but all's good. Minister friend is at least an hour away at this point (he's in the city but at the other end and has visits to do.)

Dd is up to coming. Apparently she's in pain and is upset because no-one told her it would hurt this much. I reminded her that she can rest as much as she needs to either in my bed, my heated massage chairs, the spare bed, or the recliners. She was nervous of the dog until she realized it is a small one and is now thinking that she might like to have it to cuddle.

Eating my lunch now and then will start in on the list. Depressingly, I've only done 4k steps so far today.

It is Columbus day. County offices and banks are closed, but stores are open.

Happy Thanksgiving, Kathryn. Sounds like a fun day planned.

Nancy mentioned changing the clocks in a week. DH and I checked that last evening and found it mentioned on our calendar Nov. 2. Is our calendar wrong?

House is in good shape. I did a pretty big clean this weekend. Sheets are washing. Beach towels from Sat. and suits are hanging up outside after washing them too.

Did some desk work and updated a spreadsheet before I forgot about the change. Helper had laundered his check in his pocket and I had to replace it a month later and in a different quarter. Created more work than it sounds like. I have a big project to do. It appears the guy who was refinancing his house so he could pay for the remodeling we did has a lot of credit card debt and must pay that down before he can refinance. So I must hold out this project till next year. Now I must go back at least 3 months and recreate all the expenses on it. Not happy about the payment or the work this causes me.

Better get to it..
