I've stopped to regroup and rewarding myself with a trip here.

This morning I could not force myself to sleep beyond 4am. I later realized the time change made it my normal wake up time. It did make me feel a bit good that my body is caught up on sleep and was totally done sleeping.

I had the SUV loaded with packed boxes & tubs before we left this morning at 8:00am . I dropped DH off at MPB to do morning chores and then unloaded the SUV into DMom's garage. Then back to MPB to get DH and we arrived at church in time to help setup.

I am going to use DMom's unused garage space as a temporary storage spot before we move. I need to get extra STUFF out of this house. I am hoping it sells before needing to be staged, but am starting to work toward that possibility. We have 2 families seriously considering buying our home now. Dreaming ......wouldn't it be wonderful to sell it without listing it?!

After church we ate at local favorite restaurant and then brought LO home for a nap. DH stayed with him while I ran back to town for a meeting and to fill SUV with boxes to use for packing next round. Then back home to meet DNeice & husband so they could load up our old washer/dryer. DNeice has a used furniture shop where she will sell them.

I've managed to pack 2 more boxes. I have about 1/2 of the wall hangings off the walls now. I expect they will want the place fairly barren to show, especially since our place is small to start with. I have a long way to go ......

(((Kathryn , ))) You've probably already mentioned this, but do you know how much longer you'll be on antibiotics? I tend to forget thing because of "Fibro Fog."

(((Lynlee ))), Calls like can be hurtful AND infuriating. DH's dad used to say, "Let it "go" like water down a duck's back." It's difficult to do, sometimes.

I've been redecorating the house, moving things into new-to-them places, have cleaned toilets and mirrors. I just started sheets to wash/bleach, and I'm putting the 1st row of edging on DGD's afghan. It's so pretty in white and light raspberry Grannies. It's turned out nicely. I can hardly wait to crochet the matching dolly's blanket, too. I want to do sinks, counters, and dump trash next. Also, I'd like to dust and dust mop the fir floors. DH has already vacuumed.

The Seahawks are playing the Raiders. We're in the end of the 3rd quarter. Seahawks = 24 and Raiders = 17. I think it's going to be close. Of course, we're rooting for our beloved Hawks.

It's still raining, lightly, here, but it'll be heavier rains from Monday through Thursday. I'm sure I've already said that.

I put my holiday-home journal into my small office, so it's not clutter on the dining room table. I need to make a list of things to clean/do before Thanksgiving arrives, too. I DO want to re-do my china cabinets (2), and get them sparkling again. I did them in August or Sept. and boy! They sure need it again. I have the corner curio cabinet in the bunny room to do, too. I want to clean my office again, too.

Praying for a dream sale of LM's small home. It has loving vibes so there's hoping it will attract people who love it too.

Kathryn - A sideways thought - after I was done with heavy duty painkillers, and then the tyronel ? /paracetamol that had been laced with sulphates in the name of preservative, I was left with a damaged gut that oozzed blood, and other '(tmi - sensititive internal parts oozzed too). This continued for a bit, and I found I was sensitive , symptoms returning, if I ate certain foods. It might take a bit to work out what works and what doesn't, if its the sam for you.

Last night someone showed me he has the same thing 'growing on?/ affecting' his hand as I have. The same on our palm, his pinky affected while for me its middle finger. Hoping I can keep it functional as he has. He stretches out his pinky so it doesn't stay in a cramped curl..

Waving back to Harriet , Twins and FF. I need order 'that person' out of my head at times. It is her sickness that was talking.

Called to PO re register mail card rcd Friday - not my name. Found out the correct street #, called in there to let them know mail was in needing collecting. Met the lady.

I need to eat, and want to get to bank for a chq for a late Nov WE. Oh ring first to see if there is still a space.
Do a random number thing for a job somewhere. (each room/ has a number, plus the o/d plus me)

breakfast is cooking. cleaning up a chia seed spill in the fridge door shelf.

Found some snow on top of the mtns. On our jeep drive today. Had fun came home to feed hens gather eggs and see most of the game. On ex. Bike now.

Feline: I have 14 more doses (a week Monday morning is my last dose.) I'm assuming the meds are messing up my gut and not lyme disease although I have been queasy since the tick was removed and that was 54 hours before my first dose. It just went from queasiness to nausea, pain and digestive track nastiness after the drugs were started.

I took a probiotic tonight instead of yogurt (mainly because I ran out of time to eat the yogurt.)

Dinner is done and cleaned up. I did the cleanup too because dh is working on printing the Christmas letter. I had cooked up a pound of bacon (we freeze it cooked and then have it on hand to make up dishes quickly) and so the mirror behind the stove needed cleaning. So did my bedroom mirror so that's been done. Hopefully it will look better tomorrow morning than this morning (although dh pointed out we are unlikely to have visitors in the bedroom at sunrise so it didn't really matter!)

The window by the kitchen table is really drafty so I asked dh if we tossed the rope caulking in the move. The answer is yes. Some white Plasticine-like stuff was tossed too. Sigh... We'll have to buy something else. The room is warm enough so turning up the heat makes no sense. That's a window that has a curtain (actually a shower curtain that is there to cut the sun not for warmth), so I had dh pull that over so the draft didn't bother him while we ate. This might be a sign we'll need blinds quickly once the cold weather arrives.

I need to get going on something. I have just 90 minutes until my pill and then I have to be up for a while after. If I can stay up an hour after, I can have something light to eat if my tummy is upset after the pill. But I might just go to bed 30 minutes after.

(((Lynlee))) How upsetting! Shame on that person for being so rude and thoughtless... and as Twins, I believe, said -- it certainly does say more about him/her than it does YOU! (((BIG HUGS)))

No snow here, but it is a good bit cooler than it was this time last week. And I apparently can NEVER get caught up on sleep. We went to church, but then I slept almost all afternoon.

All Saints Day at church. We lit candles for dh's aunt and his dmother, along with five other members of the church who have passed away in the past year. They called the names of each of these members. Then we were allowed to light candles silently for anyone else we wanted to remember, so I lit one for my dcousin, and dh lit one for his uncle.

You know, I keep finding myself thinking, maybe no one close to me will die in 2015 and I can finally do better at getting my act together. The illnesses and deaths of three parents (for dh & myself combined) over the last three years has really been... I don't know the word I'm looking for... but any counselor would probably say it does take a lot of energy, mentally & physically, to deal with all this. I gloss over it sometimes, and I am the first to admit I have done very little "hands-on" care for the sick... but still... it is emotionally so draining to be this close to this much loss.
I know my dmom will still continue to need my attention in many (probably unexpected) ways... but she is still able to live quite independently, and I am just PRAYING for a breather in the elder care department.
Losing my dcousin has also been something that weighs on my mind more often than many people would imagine, and I do dread the upcoming holidays without her. As some have said, since I had no sister (and no sibling at all until I was almost 10), she was the nearest thing to a sister I had when she came along when I was five years old, and we did spend so much of our childhood time together.

Well... that is all my contribution to the darkness and depression of the day's early nightfall. Sorry about that.

In other news...
Looking at Lynlee's recommendation to Kathryn about trying to figure out what foods/etc could cause sensitivity... dxsisil suggested today that I stop/change everything I am using and go back on things one at a time till I figure out what is causing this crazy redness and itching I am having basically from my chest up... plus elbows and knees...
Well that's easier said than done. * sheesh * I told her I'd wait and see what the dermatologist recommends me to use and go from there.

I have really not used any new products in the last 4-6 weeks, except the two Pantene shampoos. And I had used one of those with no problems once before. I also have NOT used either of the Pantene shampoos in the last 7-10 days, but I am certainly seeing no improvement in my condition. Just shaking my head.

Lynlee, ddil's hand cramps up when she plays certain musical instruments -- the mandolin, for example. Her doctor says it is NOT carpal tunnel syndrome, nothing is broken, he doesn't know what causes it, apparently.

Looks like you are doing great getting things packed up for the move, LadyM! It WOULD be wonderful if one of your two potential buyers just said YES and saved y'all a lot of time and money dealing with realtors.

I am pretty sure I'm going to be called on to help dmom get her mom's house ready for Thanksgiving. DH and DS will also probably be called into service to help move some furniture out there. Dmom said she would borrow tables from the church (which is right next door) and we could all bring our own folding chairs/lawn chairs... but I'm just wondering how comfortable this is going to be for everyone. I also told her she had to get the satellite tv hooked up b/c dh and some of the other men would be totally lost on Thanksgiving without being able to watch their ballgames. (She said she "had to" have tv to be able to stay out there and cook and clean, anyway.)
I hope this all works out okay. I just cannot see dmom having that empty house ready for our bunch in 25 days.

I also certainly hope that by Christmas, we can start making firm plans to get ds/ddil/dgs moved into dmil's house.

I'm really sorta excited for the week ahead, actually... although it's going to be busy busy busy.
Tomorrow of course is Wmart/errands. I hate putting up groceries. So glad dh considers that part of his job too.
Tuesday -- election day, and dermatologist day. DH and I both really enjoy watching the election returns come in, and y'all KNOW how excited I am to finally try to get some answers for this skin condition. Oh -- and Tues. will also be the day the new college football rankings come out so we'll see how our win yesterday affected us.
Wednesday -- I am probably going to have to dedicate to dmom and see how her paperwork resolution is going.
Thursday -- we go see Loretta Lynn in concert.
Friday & Saturday -- I'll be keeping dgs. Since he's been gone a WEEK, I can't wait to see him. They'll be back tomorrow or Tuesday, so we'll see him before Fri., but he'll be spending the night Friday. It will be exhausting, but fun, too.

LOL -- wanted to make sure y'all saw my post from last night. Didn't want you to think dmom NEVER washed the quilt...

Also wanted to tell y'all -- that quilt PROBABLY DOES NOT smell like all that stuff anymore, except in my head. Dmom has certainly laundered it many time since the last time I lay out in the sun, LOL. But it does hold memories of a carefree time and it is one thing I really hope dbro has no interest in -- whenever the time comes to do something with dmom's possessions, you know.

On treadmill now. Should have been on earlier since I can walk and delete emails at the same time. I had over 1000 in my inbox and I'm down to 900. Need to do better than that, but it is a start.

Next Sunday is working out now. I had kept it open so I could go wherever the Moderator would be having service. Turns out he has two evens along the Seaway so we'll go down to at least one (a discussion on the Comprehensive Survey which I was a volunteer facilitator for) and possibly the worship as well. I'll think about that because it is also a chance for us to go to worship here in our new neighbourhood.

I'm reading up on the workshops and they look interesting and I've listened to the two musicians and they are acceptable. I've volunteered dh to work as a roadie for them. I think he'll enjoy that. Not sure how I'll manage my drugs those days. I could just skip Saturday daytime and put off the Friday night pill until after the concert (which ends at 10.) I'll need to eat all day long to keep up my energy so won't be able to skip eating on Saturday around the pill times.

I'm on the treadmill in an attempt to get my 10K average steps for the week. I only need 7K today to make it and had 4K already so 40 minutes on the treadmill should do it.

Kathryn, I bet you're living for that Monday when you can stop those antibiotics, too!!!!

My 2nd LOL is drying, we put sheets/pillowcases away, DH is filling the DW now, and we'll get that running. I'm on row 2 of the afghan edging, doing white right now. Decided not to add the variegated to the border because there is only light raspberry and white in the Granny afghan. The variegate (DH agrees) looked rather clashing.

Want to do some more housework tonight, so I can concentrate on my writing job this week. Have a lot to write by hand, etc... Need to read short stories, too, to know what the editors are accepting and what the "friendly competition" is writing, too.

Nancy, Do you get much snow in the winter there? Have you had hens when you've had snow? Do they roost indoors, during snowy weather? I knew somebody who lived in a wintry setting with chickens, they had them in the coop with lights. Once, a weasel got in and got a hen or two. They eventually gave up raising hens, because of the work involved. They gave up raising their 2 peacocks, too, because 1 died and it broke their hearts. They gave the remainder peacock to somebody who raises a lot of them.

Hello, villagers ~
I am totally exhausted. Yesterday DH and I spent the whole day up north helping to move DMIL to her apartment. There was, as usual, more stuff to move than expected -- but I was very surprised to see how well it all fit in the apartment without making the walls close in.

We had plenty of help to move the big furniture. I was very proud of the 4 nephews who came to help their DGrandma. We needed them, too, because DH's oldest DB is not allowed to do any lifting, 2 of the DBILs were too ill to come at all, and DH's middle DB has a bad back and should not have been doing as much lifting as he did, but no one could stop him.

One of DH's DSisters took DMIL out for lunch and shopping at Target while we moved her things. We were able to reassemble the table, bed, and dresser, and put all of DMIL's things away before she arrived at the apartment. However, I deliberately did not unpack the clothes she had packed from her dresser, because I thought she should put her underclothes away herself.

Last night a DSisIL talked about going back to the house today to do a bunch of deep cleaning. She was going to do all that by herself so I told her I would help. Luckily I was given a house key yesterday, because I got there around noon before DSisIL and I was able to go in and get started on the kitchen. When she arrived, DSisIL asked if she could take over cleaning the kitchen while I sorted what was left in the sewing room, since she doesn't know anything about sewing.

I was on my feet for 5 solid hours with no break. After yesterday's 9 hours of adventures up there, plus travel time both days, no wonder I'm beat!

Out of the sewing room, I generated 4 huge black bags of trash and a medium box of paper/cardboard recycling. I have 3 small bags of things that I want to go through again for myself -- including vintage gadgets and buttons, an antique apron and a few tools that I want to ask DMIL about to make sure she doesn't want to keep them -- and a few patterns to carry to the freebie table at my sewing group. (I doubt that anyone will take them, but I wanted to be able to tell DMIL that I was going to do that, and she doesn't need to know if I end up carrying them to Goodwill. Hopefully she will never learn about the whole stack of 1990s patterns I put in the recycle box.)

I emptied one of those plastic 3-drawer carts so DSisIL can wash it and take it to DMIL to put beside her sewing machine table. There is a little tv tray in that spot now, but I think she will get a lot more use out of the cart with drawers.

I left out a few things that I think DH's DSisters should look at to see if they are sentimental items from their grandmother. Also a small pile of things that I don't know who can use right now, but strangers will probably buy if we do a moving sale next spring.

I kept feeling so disrespectful going through DMIL's things and making decisions for her. DSisIL reminded me more than once that whatever I didn't take today, would be thrown away next time she (DSisIL) came to the house. She claimed that everyone else in the family had already looked in that room and didn't want to touch it. So I left feeling that I had saved at least some things that DMIL might still want, and some things I can use, and I can assure everyone that the things that were thrown away were truly unusable.

The only thing I am 2nd guessing myself about right now is a bunch of spools of thread that I threw away because I couldn't tell their age. I will let it be known that if DMIL talks about needing some of those colors, I will go buy new thread for her.

I'm moving the rest of my documentation to the decluttering thread.

DH is taking a vacation day tomorrow. We may go see a movie.

FF we do not get much snow here but gave some cold weather about every 2nd or third year it is worse than normal. Snow less than an inch usually. Last year we had snow Thens were fine we used a heat lamp when it got below 10*. The roost in the coop then. I t is definately more work because I have to take water out for them in ice cream buckets, I use crock pots so it does not freeze up.

The neighbor had a party last night woke me up 2-3 times we should sleep better tonight!
