Not moving here, not unusual for Monday, however. This is the first day in a while that I haven't had to spring from bed and get moving so I've taken full advantage of it, and more. Still in pajamas here actually. Thankfully, this is a very quiet week. :D I'm lovin' it, obviously.

I am typing without my splint on for the moment - begininng to try the finger out a little. It was the ring finger broken but the pinky, which has not been splinted, won't bend much either. Wondering if I need to have them looked at. Also feeling some discomfort and stiffness in my middle finger, and, as I've mentioned, my thumb joint.

Dh said he slept badly last night and I'm guessing that it affected my sleep too. Ddogs were up and around early and it seemed like they never settled back down, so I got up early but took a morning nap. ;) I really, really need to get moving...ddogs still not walked and they are giving me the side-eye every time I move.

-start a lol
-change clothes and walk the dogs
-email temple secretary to try again on info she got for me on Friday
-clear breakfast bar and kitchen counters
-s2s

Feeling better now. Got the eggs. Putzing here getting the turkey day stuff out was fun. Slow and steady seems to be working for me today. I did not see one of the items I wanted at the store but I think I was in the wrong dept. It was a frozen item duh! I will look in the freezer section next time.

CUOP after yesterday's first page -

Lynlee, I agree with Twins' Mom, that says more about the caller than you! WE here know you have SO many good qualities that if you had a phone call to express them you would be on the phone all day!

CathyS, what a joy, a new kitty. Does "tabby" mean that she is yellow-ish, or not necessarily?

Hope Kathryn felt better through the day.

Desk Day is complete, with a lot of coupon capturing, too. $60 in straight-out all-purchase grocery coupons over the next month if I play my cards right (having to do with 2 grand openings of groceries, either directly or indirectly from their competitors).

As a matter of fact, mail carrier also came with package and it is our vanity, thank goodness after all this time. I won't open, but will wait on HRH since I know he is so anxious. Hmmm... ... I'd better get out to the home improvement store and get that wood stain.

Lots of general pick-up around here and Morning Daily Card done well.

My vacuum cleaner isn't working! Auuuggghhh! So frustrating. Called dstepdil and if all else fails me for a while, she is going to bring hers over and also give me a half-day's cleaning help on Wednesday. She's a darling.

I have the names and numbers for calling for the Angel Tree but need HRH to work this CD that has all the forms on it, including what to say in the initial phone call. I do want to learn whatever they teach about that, because I'm sure there are ways to mess that up, especially if someone is not receptive.

CI:
Feeling awfully lazy and worthless this morning... I am still in my pajamas, too, Twins, and it is almost 1:00 p.m. now!
I wonder if there is any connection between the laziness, tiredness, itchy, and stomach upset I am experiencing. Maybe I'm just making excuses.
Anyway, I will be forced to s2s, including washing my hair, before too long b/c dh will be getting ready to go to Wmart.
I'm feeling worthless mostly b/c I know I need to call dmom (haven't talked to her since Friday) (or was it Thursday?) :? -- and -- I need to call duncle, b/c I haven't talked to him since a week ago Saturday.
In these cases, it is NOT easier to DO THE THING than to think about doing the thing... they are BOTH long-talkers... * sigh *

OTOH, I have eaten breakfast and done my Bible reading...
and I have made three phone calls for dh. (re: football tickets, checking on a med order, trying to get in touch w/dbil for him)

DS & family should be in tonight, maybe not too late, so they may bring dgs over for his 2nd Halloween.

DH is pestering me about recording shows on DVR... bbl...

lucy i think you may not be feeling 100%... it's okay! I used to think I was making excuses until my d kids would say - don't be so hard on yourself... your sick. Today is a day to be good to yourself and regroup.

I will look at everyones post later in the afternoon.. so sorry... ;;but I am thinking of you and wishing blessing to you during your day.

Today is my room by room put away polka dance.. first it was a ballet bc I needed something smoother to start my day... but now feel energy (for a little while (giggle)) :D

Helia said "normal week" what is that?
Twins, sure hope your fingers get back to normal.
Lynlee, BOO for bad phone call, some people need to learn manners! You are great!

Sunday was nice...I was busy at church for a long while, arriving early before service and staying late after for communion tray duty. I found out while wiping trays that one gal has offered to be leader for upcoming year. She asked me to stay. I thought about it but decided not to, though the things she's thinking about changing are the things I was not liking... but I did tell her if she needed help anytime to call me "if that was still legal, my not being officially a member, and she said if I have any say about it it is"...

So, I'm happy about that.

Without small group to worry about, I did regular Sunday chores, tidying up a bit and getting garbage ready for Mon pickup...and then I took a nice long nap! It was wonderful. Sun eve was getting ready for the week, putting paperwork together for DH.

Today is the usual paperwork shuffle (still some more to do) and the truck relocating...back out another direction in the country. Don't know how we managed to get so many jobs so far out the past few weeks. Finished Oct. work also.

I need to type up minutes for tomorrow's meeting next.

I'm puzzled why I've been so extra busy the past couple weeks... And with holidays and taxes coming up, it'll be more so. I need pep pills.

While I was on the road on Friday and then through the weekend, I keep wondering why I don't have the time to do genealogy or to stamp...it feels like I either go all out (we had house guests through last Tuesday a.m. that took a lot of time and energy, then visited dsis on Friday so really only had three days last week, then busy weekend) or I'm at a standstill, like today and last Tuesday. Wishing I could use my time better and more consistently. I can't fault myself for down time...

Just have to s2s to finish that round so:
-s2s
-make the bed
-reboot laundry when ready
-straighten MBR
-update to do lists and do some planning for the rest of the week....

After my wailing about having no time, I do have to say that this is a mostly quiet stretch of time coming up. Dh is away on Thurs-Friday afternoon, we will be at temple on Friday night and at a bar mitzvah on Sat a.m. Dh has something on Sat afternoon that I'm begging off of, then we will go to bar mitzvah part on Sat evening. And Sunday, dh goes out of town again until Tuesday evening. I "ought" to be able to have some "me" time.

(((blessed))) You are always so sweet and kind. Thank you for your understanding.

I feel I "should" be doing better, you know, but perfectionism is something I battle with constantly. It probably does not seem that way to y'all, b/c I make so little effort in achieving it, but dh and I were talking about that last night... How I sometimes expect that I am supposed to be a "perfect" Christian. Having made my profession of faith and being baptized at age 7, I often beat up myself, as you said, b/c it seems all my "big sins" came afterwards...
DH said, "So you think you could, somehow, be the first person in the world who never sinned? No one else has ever lived, except Christ, who did that, but you think you could do it, if you only made a "fresh" public rededication of your life?"

Sorry if I'm dipping too much into religion, but this is a huge issue in my life, and it is just another example of how I am constantly telling myself I'm not doing enough -- as a Christian, as a wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, etc...
(Well not so much as a wife... I probably do enough for dh, LOL!)
Definitely not enough, in my eyes, as a housekeeper, cook, daughter... or as a Christian.

And this itching IS a big deterrent to household activity. I don't want to s/s or clean the shower or anything that would get cleaners on my hand, nor do I want to wear gloves b/c they make my hands itch... and then I spray Benadryl on them and I can't do ANYTHING for a while b/c I'll (literally, LOL) stick to it...
AAUGUGUGUHHH!!!

If the dermatologist cannot give me some kind of solution I don't know WHAT I am going to do!!!

Anyway, I am s2s, with clean hair -- clean, but still some flakiness and itching there too... * sigh *
Sheets are in the washer and four other loads are sorted and ready to go.
After groceries and supper, pending dgs' plans, I plan to finish the laundry, watch The Affair and the Big Bang Theory ** Thank y'all sooo much for letting me know how great that show is!!! I LOVE it!!! **
And MAYBE... maybe I'll make my dpc's after we get home, too.

Making progress here.

The main rooms are much cleaner and minor things rearranged to produce a more pleasing display. I've been annoyed about a small table under the clock which didn't look right for the spot. My Christ Cacti are in bloom right now so I moved it under the clock (on a pedestal table) and it looks better (plus draws focus to the blooms.) My bike has been on the balcony for a while so that gave me a place to put the little table. So things look better arranged now.

The spare bedroom has been tidied up (it will have to be made messy again but for now it is tidy). Dh helped me put the second dust ruffle on. The bed is on risers (for storage) so I needed a second ruffle to reach the floor. I was quite concerned it would be complicated to put on but with dh's help it took 5 minutes. Seriously. Five minutes. I've been putting this off for 3 months (and irritated since I could see the boxes under the bed.)

The bedroom still needs dusting but I vacuumed the bit people will see.

Dh and I took a walk around the neighbourhood, about 1.5 miles. I've also done a round of physio. I'll easily make my 10K today, I'm almost to 9K and have at least 4500 steps to and from school.

Paperwork is not any better. It has been shifted a little bit but not really any better. Sigh.... I leave in 90 minutes so may at least get the kitchen counter under control (mostly by shifting to the dining room.)
