TA DAH -
** S2B, washed hair, blowed dry and put in hot curlers. Teeth & face care done. personal AM cards are done.
** gathered rugs and put them to wash then into dryer.
** general PUPA. I need to go back through the house one room at a time and make sure they are "show ready". We have another house showing scheduled for later today.

Next up -
furkid care - rabbit, dogs, horse, donkey and wild birds. I hope our new-to-us home has doves.....

Its 10:00 here and I am just getting started.

I have a bff who is just starting to sub so I wrote a few emails and made a few calls to teachers I know. My friend is a 30+ year retired SLD reading specialist and many of the schools I am now teaching in are always looking for someone with her skills. She's the best reading teacher I have ever known.

I made her my priority for this morning, cause that's what friends are for

TA DAH -
** furkid care done. Called DBro and asked him to come put his eyes on Jack the horse today. I think Jack needs to be doctored. DBro pickup is like a rolling vet clinic. He has a little bit of everything in it to take care of livestock. DBro is "talker". Calling him on the phone is never quick, but I do enjoy catching up with him and the activities of his limb of the family tree.
** made a double batch of tuna salad ot have on hand for tomorrow.
** warmed up Chicken noodles (made of Monday). Made a green salad to go with it. Cleaned celery & carrots serve as side also.

Received txt from BH seller that we need to transfer utilities to our name. They intend to be out by tonight and will turn water off at the meter to keep it from freezing. Huh? Does that mean they are turning heat off too? Why would it freeze? Can we put utilities in our name when we haven't' closed on the house? I'm confused so send txt to our Realtor asking for clarity.

Baked m & m cookies, mixed up chocolate cookies & they are cooling now. Freezing rain has warmed up to just a sprinkle now ice has melted. Schools were on a 2 hr. Delay north & east of us.

EN pipes need to be blown out to prevent freezing. I am guessing you already knew that.

I stayed in my bedroom and stayed focus (even though the little brat in me wanted to get out of there)

- Freshened up, d2s, got Icy Hot on my upper back/shoulders.
- Took gen. Zantac, waited, ate breakfast, took pills,
- Got coffee dished up in our mugs,
- Am having coffee, am doing emails, internet "stuff".

Hello, villagers ~
Today's Ta-Dahs:

Yesterday's LEGO Club only had 3 kids come but we had fun. I was able to use the time to sort and put away most of the pieces that we'd used last month. Then, because the kids finished their projects and left a little early, after I put away the LEGO pieces I did the librarians a favor and vacuumed the whole room. The group before LEGO was a garden club and they had left plant leaves and cookie crumbs all over the room. (They get to meet there for free, you'd think they could clean up after themselves.) I didn't want my LEGO kids to be blamed for their mess.

I chatted with the children's librarian a few minutes and she is making a little list of what she needs for story time craft supplies. (They sing a couple songs, read a few books, and make a craft project at every story time for the preschool age kids.) Sometime the first week of December we will put up a small tree and use paper ornaments with a craft item written on each, so library patrons who want to donate something small will know what the kids need. They have had great success with the giving tree in past years.

One thing the children's librarian mentioned that I would not have thought of is glue dots. She started using them this year and she said it has made her job so much easier than trying to use bottles of glue with the little kids. Glue dots are relatively expensive, but save a lot of clean up time in the library. The parents also appreciate not having to deal with wet glue and sticky hands.

Major irritation yesterday, good thing I was running early for LEGO Club. When I opened my garage door to leave to go to the library, I found that a truck and trailer were parked across the end of my driveway. There was no way I could get around them. I went out and walked around, didn't see anyone at first, and finally a guy came out of the trailer. I said, "Hi there, I need to leave and you've totally blocked me in." He replied, "Oh yeah, I guess I did." I asked if he would be moving shortly, I could wait a bit, and he said no, he'd be there another 2 or 3 hours. Then a woman came out of the trailer and was rather confrontational, saying no they couldn't move the trailer because they were in the middle of running a bunch of cables.

I was trying very hard to be friendly and cooperative, because I felt bad that they were having to work in the bitter cold, so I just said, "Oh my, but I have to get to work now, so what can we do?" It was way too cold for me to walk to the library. They finally figured out that they could unhitch the truck from the trailer and move the truck, which gave me barely enough room to drive around the trailer to get out on the street. I had to go a little bit in the yard/storm drain and was just lucky that we hadn't had more snow or they would have had to push me out, because my little car is not meant to drive through ditches.

As I said, I felt bad that they had to work in the cold, but at the same time I thought I acted pretty nice considering that it is totally illegal for them to block a homeowner's driveway like that. I even thanked them both for moving their truck!

Tonight I have a sewing group board meeting. I'm trying to figure out the most efficient route for errands in The Big City because I hate driving all that way for just 1 thing.

I had been hanging around the landline waiting for a call. That's done now so I can get moving again. I don't need to take off for errands yet so I will see what mini-jobs I can do before I hit the road.

DeeClutter, I have not seen any pop-up messages, while here, today.

TA-DAH:
1- Upgraded my laptop.
2- Rinsed dishes in the sink, from coffee soaking, etc...
3- Put on make-up, fixed my hair, put in earrings.
4- Hung up a nightgown, which was inside a long Muumuu.
5- Put away a blanket/throw.
6- Wrote in my journal.

Better sign off. Need to turn the furnace off since my office is now 75* and I'm dying from heat in here now! DH was being kind, as it was about 65* in here, first thing this a.m.
