I wanted to stop in to say a quick hello to everyone. When I awoke this morning I had a throbbing headache. This is very unusual for me --- rarely get headaches. Had an extra coffee with breakfast and took a couple of aspirin. It took a few hours, but it's finally gone...just that muzzy feeling left.

I did manage to get a few things done. Made up a grocery list and sent dh to the store, basic weekly routine done --- bathrooms cleaned, carpet swept; I will mop kitchen floor after while. There is just a little bit of pick/put away to do and I'm done for the day.

We are not planning on any company today or tomorrow. I'm pretty sure ds#1 will be working and I talked to ds#2 yesterday. He said ddil is pushing to get her assignments done so she hopes to start her student teaching in Jan., so they won't be down tomorrow.

After a few chilly days here the temps are inching up again. We're supposed to be in the 70s this coming week.

Thinking about Dee.... hoping she's having a nice time and had a good Thanksgiving!

Nancy, I think I liked Horrible Bosses b/c the little short guy has more trouble keeping his mouth shut than I do! LOL -- he was ALWAYS speaking up when he should have been silent, leading to disastrous results. I couldn't help but LOL. And I liked the Jason Bateman character b/c he tried so hard to be the voice of reason....
"Just be ourselves..." one guy said.
Jason Bateman said, "NO, don't be ourselves. Ourselves is a train wreck." (He might not have said train wreck, but I can't remember exactly what he compared themselves to -- but it was a funny line.)

I came to ci: and check off s2s... and start downloading pictures... but I saw that I haven't exercised or done my Bible reading yet. So I'll do that before starting work on the pictures.

Whew... glad to know RR's dson is one person on the other side who hasn't made reservations for a victory celebration yet. ;) I actually feel nervous about this game for some reason. I NEVER feel "nervous" before college games. I just hope it's close and we don't get embarrassed at least. We've had some embarrassing games this year. DH and ds just left to pick up dbil...

(((Sunny)))

BTW -- how do our Florida SHEs stand on the Florida/Florida State issue?

Waving to Dee if she checks in from those tropical breezes...

We woke up to falling snow, but it's gone now, the sun's shining and none of it stuck on the ground. Snow may happen tonight, too.

I have to work today, but think I'll take a rest before I get to the knitty-gritty stuff.

DH mailed a letter out today, to a Dfriend, in NY. We must have known each other for 15 years now. I met her through a crochet website. I met another good friend through a Weight Watcher's website. Then, a group of us did an "Under 200 by Memorial Day Challenge," but none of us made it- THAT year, but we ALL have since then! It was fun to share and report to each other, via emails, and then became friends.

I "should" be crocheting the last gift puppet, but I'm just not in the "crochet mood" today. I need to wash towels, get them put away and some hung up again.

Sunny , I'm glad your headache's gone. I had one later this a.m., but took 2 Acetaminopen for it, it went away and I was glad.

Have a nice weekend, Everybody! :D

I need to get going as we are having company this evening for dinner - dh will grill steak, we're baking sweet potatoes and making a salad and challah (already started in bread maker) and the brownie dessert w marshmallows and icing.

Lucylee, I don't know if you remember that dh is a FL State alum! We're watching GA and GA Tech right now - wouldn't mind seeing GA beaten by ds' school but I seriously doubt he knows there's football happening today. And of course, TN hoping for a bowl game of some kind if they beat Vandy.

-start brownies and get them in oven
-get pumpkin off the front porch into garbage
-ck dishwasher, I think I need to run it
-make the bed
-reboot laundry

Back soon....

Thanks for the ((hugs)) Lucy. And I'm glad your headache's gone, too FF.

I've just been puttering and trimmed and buffed my nails, read our weekly paper and gone through the ads flyers and pulled out some coupons.

Don't watch much college football so it depends on who's playing I guess. If UF is playing, I'll root for them since I had a dniece graduate there.

Some progress:

1. Done! Christmas lights properly up in the windows (at least the living room) and the timer programmed and installed so that they'll be on when I get home tonight
2. General tidy (it is awfully messy here)
3. At least one zone chore done. Ideally, scrubbing the kitchen floor
4. Print of the bulletin for tomorrow night, pick up the music CDs for the hymns tomorrow at the seniors' home since dh isn't with me to play them on the guitar
5. Done! Finish decorating the sanctuary
6. Done! Choir practice
7. An overdue visit with my senior friend
8. Buy more suction cups (there's a store in the market village I can try - the city has too many people chasing too little stock)
9. Buy a gift for the church musician
10. Done! Call someone to see if the poinsettias have been bought for the sanctuary
11. Update quicken and pay bills'
12. Finish the service for tomorrow.

At church now, ready to print the bulletin but have to email it to myself since I have a new computer that can't connect to the church wireless or printer.

Wow, what a productive day, Kathryn!

I got that round done....this time:
-make icing for brownies and finish them up
-start the dishwasher (will make icing first)
-clear breakfast area table where we will eat tonight, aka kitchen table
-see if I have five candles for a centerpiece
-sweep the front porch
