Reconciliations are done.

I printed off a statement of ds's line of credit with us. It shows higher than it should because I haven't been removing our monthly 'rent' of his second bedroom. As well, he owes me last month's rent but since he can make his rent each month, when that month comes up, he'll be able to pay off that $1K.

I've also printed off a statement of all the charitable contributions we've made this year and will finally finish those off. You may have noticed I've been talking about this as a to-do for the past 5 weeks!

Dh has a list of errands to run so we'll be heading out soon.

I'm on the treadmill for a few minutes because I had some things to do for the minister and felt I could handle walking and typing those at the same time.

Since my run in with Plantar Faciitis, I can't walk and type at 3 mph anymore. I don't have the pain but my gait has changed or something else has changed and I just can't do it. But today I'm up to 2.6 mph so that's better than the 2 it has been for a while now. I can watch tv or read at 3 mph, but I can't write at that speed any more and I'm not sure it is all balance, it might be that staying upright takes more of my brainpower than it used to.

Posting a quick hello without cuop. I smiled when I saw the title of todays thread because it is so appropriate to my plans for today. I'm trying to get as many small projects & hot spots finished & cleared up before the new year starts. Although I won't have a completely clean slate on the first, the more I can get done the better.

I've been thinking about my plans for the new year & I want to refocus on working in zones. It works well when I do it and there are still closets & drawers & projects that I didn't get to last year. I may not start until the end of January as my office really needs a lot of attention so I may spend most of free time getting that space organized first.

Hope you all are having a wonderful day. See you later! :)

Done with that round. I didn't consult w dh about Friday night, just responded to rabbi that I don't know our plans so can't commit, and that I was also on the pulpit Dec 19 and it would be nice to give others the opportunity. I know he's drumming up attendance but I don't have to be there so much anymore! :D

This time around:
-change shoes and walk dogs (finally!)
-clear kitchen counters
-clear breakfast bar
-mix up salad dressing
-bring in trash can from the street

Friends just responded they may run a little later than I suggested, so that gives my timing a little extra buffer. I don't usually make the sauce, assemble and serve the lasagne the same day anymore. Ds is pleased he'll be taking one back to school.

hi d harriet... so sorry your "green-eyed boy" was so sick.. hope he feels much better.
hi d Elizabeth!
Hi d Mt... happy anniversary to you both
hi d elia.. lovely that dh is on board with working on extra sleeping arrangements for guests... and BWTG to your dd19 for getting her room so nice
Hi D Twins!
and hi all.

kitchen looks good but floor still needs washing

I figured out how dh keeps things kind of empty... he puts everything away but never in places they belong... he tends to hide things and it looks nice but when I open up cabinets they are stuffed - no like things together. Also he buys new and doesn't toss old - food. It works ok for stashing but for me it is hard to find things. His garage is expanding and is so messy because he just puts things anywhere in drawers etc. and doesn't know and then he buys extras to replace what he hid. But being okay with it - he is always happy when he finds things. He makes me smile when he is so tickled finding things.

So - on that I spent some time getting things in their place again and recycling jars he wants to keep because he thinks they look neat. :D
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Anyone "Getting Ready for 2015" with your cleaning-calendaring on your mind? :)

For any who plan to be Focusing on cleaning "together" in 2015, The Cleaning Forum has the spanking new 2015 Focus Cleaning Calendar added as a thread, and "Getting Ready for 2015" is the current week. So we're at that   ready-set-go time of year.

Here's your slide!

Expect BookSaver's brilliant thoughts on January in a new monthly thread there soon. :D

Thanks blessed! Yes, I was duly impressed by dd19's work. She is talking about redecorating her room, so maybe that is related.

Thinking, ds' room really needs new carpet and a new coat of paint. His room has been pretty much untouched since we moved in 13.5 years ago. Dh wants to make the bed frame; he's made all the other bed frames in the house. They're beautiful, solid wood, and our beds are European style - many slats on the frame and one mattress - but the frames are also very heavy and very awkward to move. (Moving companies haven't been too thrilled with them. . . ) So, it would be easiest to paint and put down new carpeting before we move in a new bed. This would be a fun house project for the new year!

Posting progress. .
- finished QT
- s2s and self care - except I forgot to do my teeth
- spot cleaned dd19's carpet
- tidied bathroom downstairs; went through cupboards and did a little purging and organizing. Threw out 1.5 huge bottles of pills for dd16 w/ a refill date of 12/05/12. . . . .
- emptied garbage cans in dd19's room and bathroom
- vacuumed dd19's room
- laid out bedding downstairs to use on the beds in dd19's room; the twin bed needs a quilt or something on it
- started a load of towels, mostly for downstairs bathroom
- lunch

Odd, but dd19's room is not really dusty. :?: I'm sure she doesn't dust it. Not complaining as that's one less thing to do.

Next:
- find bedding upstairs to make up futon for dfriends
- brush teeth
- put clean bedding on both beds in dd19's room
- clean downstairs bathroom - after ds gets out
- vacuum stairs and hallway downstairs

Ds is out of the shower. I'm off to finish getting rooms downstairs ready.

Dogs walked but somehow I am feeling drained. Will give myself 30 min of downtime and hit it again.

Having breakfast (cereal) and coffee as I take a break and read here.

Happy birthday to Twins Mom's and Kathryn's DH's. Oh, today is DGSs bday, I must call him. We took a gift and card up at Christmas. Happy anniversary to the MT's.

I had a feeling Harriet's household was super busy, with us not hearing from her.

New Year's cleaning schedule, ah, hahaha!!! It'll be a while before I get to any of that.

DH took off without me this morning. I was up in time but he left early. Poor guy, they did Novocaine and twilight sleep and he sat in the waiting room before driving himself back home. I felt bad when I heard that, he said he did fine, but knowing him...he probably pushed it. He worked a few hours with helper and has now medicated and is in bed. Says it feels like a very bad toothache.

Went to tag office to get 2 truck tags, copied the registrations and put in all the vehicles. I worked on one big humongous bill this morning, got that sorted out and paid. It was big this time, we'd put water pump repairs on it, truck tires, all our food etc. and all of Christmas and b'day gifts on it.

Very cordial policeman here today to take a statement about the theft of all DH's cards, checks, cash, etc. Thought we'd better do that when I discovered he also had his Medicare card there, which was his ss#. Sigh... and after more time on the computer and phone I finally got a call back from billing dept. and now have my cell phone active. That was just so frustrating, you can't imagine. It takes Medicare people 10 days to get a letter out and 4 weeks for a new card.

Piles of papers everywhere. I am trying so hard, but it is just too much for 1 person.

Hope everyone's day is going smoothly. Helia, new beds, etc. sound great! We have wooden platform box springs here DH made, and they are heavy to move also. Enjoy your company.
