Glad y'all got the brakes fixed,
Harmony.

So much like my ddad... there's no telling how many hours my dmom spent "holding the light," reaching for a tool, or just keeping him company while he worked on something like that. Hope your meds do their job SOON and stop working against you! (((HUGS)))
Glad to hear
Elizabeth's faucet appears to be fixed! And good news -- our ice maker IS making ice. (Still have that drip in the refrigerator, but we can deal with it.)
(((
Cathy)))
Harriet -- so nice that dd's date/not-a-date went well! Sounds like a nice boy that she would have a lot in common with.
FF, how many grams of fiber per day are you trying to get? I know what you mean about dreams like that, but they are kinda nice.
It is a good choral blessing which doesn't talk about death (as in God be with us till we meet again) or service (these people are old and I don't expect them to head off into the mission field.)
Kathryn... that IS important.
DS used to sing with a friend at the nursing home, and this particular friend used to just LOVE to sing a song called, "Not Afraid."
The lyrics are as follows:
When I close my eyes in death,
Fold my hands across my chest.
Sing for me a pretty song
While I take my journey home.
CHORUS:
Not afraid to bid this world good-bye.
Not afraid to close my eyes and die.
For His courage I have prayed.
In His arms I'm not afraid.
2. When I cross that silent sea
And those home lights beckon me.
I'll feel no pain, I'll fear no harm.
Safe, secure in Jesus' arms.
* sigh * Now,
some of those older people may have felt great comfort from those words, and sometimes I do, myself... but most of the time, I'd be sitting there looking around at all those frail, elderly people, and I would just think "Could y'all possibly sing something more morbid???"

* sigh *
Sooo glad things are so much better with your duncle,
blessed! That is great news!
Glad you got some unexpected free time, too,
Nancy. (We did as well. DS called and said they decided they would just go to C huckie C heese; did we want to go? Hmmmm... no. DH is still trying to eat more healthy choices and smart starts, in prep for weigh-in at doctor's office Thurs. and I just did not want to face the music/noise/screaming/lights/camera/action/etc that = CC. No. Very thankful for the invitation, but no.
Talked to dmom; she still sounds so good. Maybe making a decision about the new church has taken a load off her mind as well, and given her new enthusiasm. She sounds like she's really doing well, emotionally. So excited about all she's doing at dgrandmother's house, just sounds very good every time I talk to her.
She and I did the original P&P card box back when their book first came out, and she was talking about timing various tasks this morning, and how that helps to organize her day.
Well, I got my Mod-Podge last night (at Wmart in bigger city; H obby L obby closes at 8:00 pm -- who knew?) I think I'll give it a try and see what I'm working with here.
We may go out to see another movie since we're baby-free again tonight.
BTW -- Mortdecai was funny, but as I expected, very silly. It was sorta like the Three Stooges, minus two, with a British accent. But I'm a sucker for a British accent, so I enjoyed it. Lots of LOL moments, but kinda slapstick humor. I even developed a liking for the Three Stooges once ds came along and loved them, so that's a good gauge for y'all in trusting my reviews.
OH! NOW I know what I meant to ask y'all...
What do y'all think about these sheets? WHY do I only look at the reviews AFTER I've ordered???
These are the sheets I ordered last night... and someone in the reviews says they feel like sandpaper!

* sheesh * DH said, "Oh well, if they're no good, they didn't cost you anything; you got them with a Christmas gift card. Make dust cloths out of them." * sigh * I should have bought a fit bit.

Editing to say THANK YOU, Kathryn for fixing that. I knew it looked ridiculously long compared to other links I've done, but didn't know what the problem was.
Also editing to say, my rock project is frustrating. Apparently my rocks have a sort of waxy coating on it. The sharpie won't write on it very well, and digs into it getting the waxy stuff on the pen point, and then it won't write at all... and I am just ready to say to heck with this!!!
Maybe some sandpaper on the rocks?
