Well rats. I got home from PT and decided to take it easy instead of finding my marching orders. I've been reading. PT was a success, with some massage and manipulation of the fingers was able to get pretty close to a fist with left hand. I gassed up the car on the way home also, so that's done for tomorrow.

I need to have Moses at the vet at 3 p.m. so I am going to set a good example for myself now.
-Move over laundry to dryer, start a load of delicates
-empty the dishwasher, finish up kitchen clean up for morning
-make the bed,d, straighten MBR
-start ingredients in breadmaker for challah to take to ds tomorrow
-ck mail and process

Hi everyone...quick check in. Temp is only about 63* and go down to 48* tonight, sunny but very breezy. Wanting everyone up north to stay warm and safe through this storm!

I've just read that today is Australia Day, that national holiday for Australia. http://www.timeanddate.com/holidays/aus ... tralia-day So Happy Australia Day, Lynlee, and other readers in Australia (if any)!

I'm noticing that I'm feeling a little better, but still need to be quiet and off my feet. My leg still aches, especially around my knee.

LadyM....praying for a good mamo. Dee....hope you are feeling better. Harmony.....((Hugs)) & Get Well Wishes. RRose....((Hugs)) & Get Well wishes for you also. Who else??? Names escape me at the moment!

We haven't seen dfam#2 for a couple of weeks. I still have dgd20's birthday gift here and finally wrapped it this morning. I have also been watching Weather Channel and the news channel, listened to a couple of music cd's and worked a couple of crossword puzzles.

I have one other thing I've been thinking about: I write notes to myself - all kinds - mostly on post its, but sometimes on 3 x 5s or a scrap of paper, of things I want to remember (phone #s, website to look up something, an idea, or something I want to tell one of my guys. I might start a notebook with a few different categories and write stuff down here instead of all these little pieces of paper that get stuck on my desk or computer till completed! If it works, okay/good. If it doesn't work it will be back to the post-its! ;)

I have graduated from two naps a day to one in the afternoon and I feel like it's time for that now!

YES!! Mammogram was a success. They reviewed the film and said "We will send you a report of the findings in the mail". I know what happens if they find something, so that means GOOD NEWS!

Afterwards we did a Sam's list buying. I also bought an 8x10 area rug. I happened to see one that matches our color scheme perfectly and it was marked down $100. The rug is 100% wool.....I'm not sure if that is good or bad. I have put the rug in place and am thrilled with how it looks.

We ate at one of my favorite places (Atlanta Bread Company). Mmmmmhhhhh their salmon is excellent. Greek salad is excellent. I so enjoy a perfect salad!

I wish I could send some of our beautiful, calm and sunny 60 degree weather to those with cold and snow.

Our Realtor called and said our house might be sold. MIGHT BE. She will know more in a couple of days (waiting for potential buyers to get financing approval)

So glad that Lady M's mamo was a success; reminding myself that I need to schedule mine. Had waited until I saw new doc in Dec so that clinic could send report to doc and they would have a file for me, but need to get on w it now.

Moe had stitches out at the vet. I still haven't walked ddogs today, so that should be my next marching order. No snow here, but 36 degrees and feels like 30, very overcast and a little breeze.

Whoops, shaping challah will be in 20 min so I'll work on some other things, then do the walk...
-hang delicates to dry
-make the bed (didn't get done before I left)
-take basket of towels, sheets, et al upstairs, while I'm up there see if the chalkboard tape will stick to baskets in linen closet for towel and sheets
-shape challah
-take out kitchen garbage

Then walk the dogs....

 :o I misplaced my sewing machine manual! :o  I've looked and looked! It was with my sewing machine, but after I moved it, from the office (where I was storing it) to the spare room, the manual vanished! I did a "Google" Search, for my machine's title and brand. A free PDF download/printing of it was available for FREE! :!: :P :) I printed up the pages. I've put the manual cover page, in the clear binder cover spot. I'm taking papers, out of the page protectors in the binder, of some program I don't follow, read or do. I'm slowly putting the new manual pages into the page protectors. What a job this will be, but the binder will be large enough, I won't lose it again! :!:

I put away 1 LOL, my dryer just dinged for the last LOL, and I mended a nightgown seam. I made the bed, put dirty LOL into the utility room basket, and next up- I need to write a grocery list, with fiber-rich foods and foods for my 1.5-quart slow cooker meals and side dishes.

I also need to finish the chain-loopy fringe on my Seahawks colors scarf today, too!

Have a great day! My Monday Marching Orders are to: DUST-SWEEP-MOP!!! :!: :!: :!:

Take care and waving at you all! :D

Oh, it's beautiful, sunny, and will be 60* here today, too! 8-)

Another project done. I researched psychologists specializing in children within 100 miles of us that is covered by our insurance. I emailed the results to LO counselor for her to make the selection.

LO should be arrive home anytime (DH is picking him up from school). Then it starts regular Monday afternoon/evening activities. I will be going non-stop until bedtime.

Hooray for good news for LadyM!!!

Glad you found a solution to the missing manual problem, FF! It does sound time-consuming, but also sounds like an excellent idea.

I would think a 100% wool rug would be a good choice, LadyM. Dmil, from years of experience in the furniture store, I believe would have recommended 100% woo.
Ooohhh -- saying a prayer this is The Buyer you need and all goes smoothly with the house sale.

(((Sunny))) Continue to be gentle with yourself.

(((Dove))) (((Cathy))) * Are there others in the snow path? * Hope the storm is not as bad as expected, and * definitely * hope y'all don't lose electricity!

I got up and went to my teacher's lunch meeting this morning. Always enjoy that.
Then got the oil changed, went by the bank & post office, came home, called dmom to tell her the funeral arrangements for one of her aunts, who will be buried tomorrow. Wife of my dgfather's brother. Dmom plans to go to the funeral, even though I will not be able to accompany her. She said she didn't mind driving to the other town where it will be held -- approx. 25 miles away -- and really would like to visit a friend over there while she was out. So again, she just sounds wonderful, and I am so happy that she seems to have a new lease on life. She moved her membership from old church to new yesterday, and is already excited b/c the preacher wants our ds to be entertainment fo their Senior Citizens Valentine's Day Bqt. AND -- one of her dearest friends from old church is planning to do the painting for her at my dgm's house, so apparently she remains on good terms with them, as well.
-- As ds said, if she is or she isn't, it doesn't really matter. Dmom's job is not to make those people happy, dmom's job is to do what is best for dmom. And after much prayer, I know she feels she IS doing what is best for her, and she seems happier and more energetic than she has been since my ddad passed away.

LadyM -- is LO having to change counselors? Can the counselor also recommend speech therapist for dgd?

Well, for someone who had nothing to do and all day to do it... I (shhh) organized a bunch of personal care items into 2 of those rolling carts with drawers that are so easily found at W almart and other stores of that type in January, because they must know that everyone made the resolution to get more organized every year...

So I have a drawer labeled for everything for soaps to nail care to curling irons. One cart has three deep drawers and the other one has 2 deep drawers and 2 regular drawers. I also managed to clear off most of the dresser. I also got 0ne floor lamp plugged in in the spare room. We think that this room is basically what a garage or a basement will store eventually. We went to another open house yesterday. We are actively starting to look for a house to purchase sometime this year.

Way to go on the mammo results Lady M.

Nope. LO isn't going to change counselors. LO counselor is recommending extensive one-time psychological testing for LO. The results will tell us whether LO is ADD, ADHD, his learning style and other things (I can't remember all she said). The testing will be done at big city medical facility. LO counselor wants to hand-pick the psychologist who will do the testing.

DD told me this weekend that DGD3 didn't need speech therapy. DD said DGD3 will out-grow this and learn how to improve her speech on her own. ............................................................................... I will continue to watch for times to gently approach the need for DGD3 speech therapy again, but until DD changes her mind ........... If DGD3 stays in this area, she will start Pre-K in August and the school will provide speech therapy (IEP).
