Good morning! Girls' Night Out was the usual Chinese, but at home. Homework was completed, video was watched, then I took DD12 back to the X's house. He had shaved off his mustache!!! It's been there since 1985. It was turning not gray, but white. I got the email tasks done, put the Wed night out menu on the church website, and made progress on the animal org scrapbook. I have not had any calls from dBro, so he must have figured out healthcare.gov. (I knew he would).
Tonight's plan: drop off auction shawl, continue with scrapbook work (and it is work for me), sew buttons on donate item, another email task, Bible study work.
Thanks for putting up with my rants about my friend/hostess. At times, she is the best of friends, other times, she drives me NUTS! I've known her since 1986, no one can remain completely non-annoying that long, I haven't been perfect the whole time either.

Re: Wednesday Wandering
Hi harmony, Kathryn, Dee and Blessed...
Yup I'm up... Morning routines done and one doggie fed. Willis is next.
I did look at the pictures...not because I wanted to, but because I think it's important to understand what the world is up against. I don't want to hide from it. Imagination is one thing; reality is another. But that's me and I've always been that way. Not sure the word "horror" even begins to describe it... But I am glad the news is giving people the option to see the unspeakable. Perhaps the world needs to be shocked into working together to end this if that is even possible.
On a much more positive note today I will be gathering everything I will need for my big event on Sat. I am excited and looking forwards to it. Sunday I spent several hours climbing over 8' walls. flipping 150lbs tires, dragging 60lbs of cinder blocks and carrying around 60lbs of rocks in a five gallon bucket. I have posted an event video on my FB page if you're interested. I'll see if I can get it over here later.
One of the events is throwing a spear 30 feet. I'm not very good at it and if I can't get it to stick in a bale of hay I have to do 30 burpees. Yesterday Sweetie and I worked on our other house and I came across a rake handle which the spears are made of so I will be spending time throwinging it today. I also want to load up a bucket with rocks and try to figure out the best way to carry it.
Happy for you LadyM that your house sale is going smoothly....
I am finished with my breakfast, but still in my pjs. Need to get dressed and start my day. Feeling better, but woke with a cough...will be keeping a close watch on that.
Anyway off I go... Enjoy your day and I'll cy'all later

I hear you on the zip cans that is why I mentioned the pouches. We struggle with a hand operated can openers have been known to take a hammer and knife in cae of emergency to get spam out!
Next few done.
Laundry is going, high traffic area swept up.
Trash is dumped.
BS was perfect #94 2day.
I need to put away some new yarn I got yesterday.
Ex. & sinks, blend wool aka arm exercise std (still to do).

RR - I am fascinated with your upcoming adventure/challenge! RE: throwing spear into hay bale. If your not familiar with working with bales of hay (round or square) take a close up look at the way it is baled. In every bale there is a looser part that would allow a spear to penetrate easier....of course that would require an accurate throw to hit the sweet spot. :0 Regardless of how you come out of this challenge BWTG for having the courage to do it and for giving it your best effort!
I hit the floor at a fast pace this morning and decided to take a break after 5 hours of doing my best. I am slowly, OH SO SLOWLY, starting to get a routine in place. Moving messed up all my routines plus the addition of DGD3 and it is a struggle to get them set back up and working smoothly. I am using the original 3x5 card system and find it is perfect for me right now.
I only watch the national/international news on my terms. When I am mentally ready and have a few moments to absorb it, then I will scan yahoo/google/bing news online sites and read details/watch video of anything that I'm wanting to know more about. I did go looking for the news stories that were mentioned here and watched enough to form my opinion of the situation. I do watch/listen to the local news on TV several times a week to keep up with what is happening in our little corner of the world.
Next up - put hair in hot rollers. I do this twice a week to smooth away the frizzles.

Re: Wednesday Wandering
I didn't watch much tv today. Just enough to know what was going on. I always get a flip-flop tummy with that stuff, because it seems to me the world has been in a war of one sort or another for so many years and I am extremely weary of all that. Whenever something like this happens, I feel a dismay that we are edging even closer to more battles.
I am pushing myself to do some things. I've made a meatloaf in the oven (hoping it doesn't fall apart) and some sloppy joes that DH will eat and I put in a few potatoes to bake and cooked a pkg of carrots. So, we have food cooked for a couple days if I open a couple cans to go with.
I'm going to work on some filing next. I can feel myself fizzling already.

Re: Wednesday Wandering
I didn't get a chance to post last night. When dh got home we went out for dinner (split a salad and appetizer) and then when I called to ck about jury duty today, I had to report at 9 a.m. this morning. I was crazy getting away this morning because it's shower day but got there on time. Didn't get onto a jury this time - they were going in number order and got to number 24 and I was 31. So I need to call the rest of the week and next week to see if I need to show up again.
I have given notice that I will be treasurer of the religious school one more year while a friend serves as chair. I don't want to leave him in a lurch. But....the director continues to irritate me. She emailed last night wanting me to let her know as soon as her ck is signed today because she's "very busy the rest of the week." Mind you, I had indicated that the bookkeeper drops cks off on Wed and I'll sign and have to the other synagogue on Thursday. Told her I'd do what I could if I didn't have to be at the courthouse all day. Sheeeesh, she's pushy. We do need to add another signor to the ck card at the bank and we'll try to do next week, but I seriously doubt that he's going to be happier than I am about making a special trip to sign cks because she's busy the rest of the week.
DH watches a lot of TV so it's on when he is home, but I rarely watch it on my own. I read the local paper daily and also at least scan the NYT top stories online. (I have an online subscription.) But I generally don't watch videos online - somehow I'd rather read/scan for news than to watch it. I'd say it's a lack of patience but it's more like I just don't process that way efficiently.
While at the court house I went to the county clerk's office to ck for divorce records for my grandparents - my father's father died in 1926 and family lore was that they were divorced and he died of a "broken heart." Didn't find anything from 1921 (when youngest child was born) until 1926, however, they indicated that a divorce could have been handled through Chancery court. I'll call and ck on availability of records there some other time.
I gotta go out again - checks are at the temple to sign. While out I need to go to post office, cleaners, and a pet shelter (to drop off sheets/towels.)

Re: Wednesday Wandering
Big pot of chicken noodles is made. LO & DH are both battling sore throats so hopefully the homemade chicken broth will help. I did add extra garlic to the broth....hope LO can handle the garlic flavor. ketchup takes care of most dishes that might not be his favorite.
Called about our first water bill at birthday house. They show sewer and garbage pickup charges on it. We don't use either of those services so I requested they be removed from our bill. They will take off the sewer charge since we have septic tank, but the town has voted that everyone in town must pay for garbage pickup whether they use it or not. I'm okay with that and will start using this garbage pickup since we are required to pay for it! For the first time in about 25 years I will have a household trash day. I made a blue colored 3x5" card and filed it so next Monday I will remember to gather trash and put it out.
Called dentist office and inquired about LO last dental appoint charges. I paid $82 at his dental appoint but I just received insurance papers that show we should only have been charged $26 for our part. The dental office did show the credit to his account so all it well. I told them to not send a check but to just apply the credit to our next dental appointments.
Called Sams club and got my online login straighten out so I can do online orders and pickup orders.
Next up - Prep bonus room for tomorrow

Re: Wednesday Wandering
When I checked on the delayed posted bill from the doctor office yesterday they said to wait two weeks for an explanation. They work through the hospital and the office has moved. They said that they are going to a new system in March. OH JOY!!! Not. They are getting more training so office mgr. Was out of the office doing that.

Re: Wednesday Wandering
Hello Dear Ladies,
Cloudy here, but the temps are in the 50's and it's okay.
Have done laundry and dishes. Still continue to use the pulley for my shoulder. Still continue to see improvements in my shoulder so will keep doing the pulley and other exercises. I sometimes feel like I'm been on this re-hab for the shoulder for so very long, but as long as it keeps improving, I'll keep doing it. Some people can't believe I'm still working on it, like aren't you over that yet?
DH was upset that he got charged 100.00 for shipping a 2 pound item overnight. It is quite pricey, second day air would have been 30.00. He wished the company had called him before shipping it out.
I don't watch the news either, I do read on the websites to keep up with things. Don't watch a lot of violent movies either. DH and guys can watch those kinds of things and say it's just a movie but I usually get up and go to my room, the images stay with me for too long.
Our Dboss at work has a son who is being deployed in May to a hot spot. He's in the National Guard and will be gone for a year. We are going to send him some care packages. I asked Dboss what her son's interests were and what preferences he had for personal products. I would hate to send him stuff he can't use. I'll make a list and post it in the fitting room so we all can get a few items for him. It's a way to show him we appreciate him and his dmom too.
Going to take a bath today, it would feel good and then get ready for work.
Great day to all!
