Posting on the phone...
Wow -- RamblinRose -- I am just in AWE!!! Big WTG!!!

Posting on phone makes it hard to review and respond to all, so y'all forgive me.
We are at the singing but dh thought dgs was making too much noise so dgs and I just came out to the car.
I am just about frazzled. Dgs slept very well last night, sows all got plenty sleep, but I am still EXHAUSTED. If I knew I could rest when he goes home tomorrow, I'd be okay, but then on Tuesday I'll have at least 48 hours w/dmom, I think, and I'm just completely overwhelmed.
Tomorrow is another day.

Ramblin Rose: Ds wants me to tell you Congratulations!!! Whenever he races he's always inspired by the older people running the race. To tackle the race and finish in any amount of time is much better than most who never try.

RR: A big WTG from me too!

Good day here. Need to get on the treadmill soon because I don't have near enough steps for the day, though.

Driving was awful and we took ages to get to church. I kept my head down, playing the scrabble game because dh didn't need a backseat driver. He needed quiet.

Each of our drives (to the church, to lunch, to retirement home 1, and to retirement home 2, were difficult. Coming home wasn't too bad until we got onto city streets. At the the freeway was cleared by 5 p.m. Ds said he had a long drive from the ski hill to work last night but there was no-one on the road when he went home this morning at 7:30!

The annual meeting at church was actually part of the service and that went really well. There were 12 from our church (not including the 6 kids) and 6 from our sister church.

I had 12 at my first service and 10 at the second. I'm very pleased with the second number because that represents 20% of the residents at the first Sunday Service offered to residents. I had lots of good feedback and we'll stay and visit with the residents next month.

We picked up Chinese food for dh's dinner from his favourite place in the market village (the second retirement home is right in the market village) and then came home and I zapped a frozen lasagna for myself.

Ds is here now doing laundry. He had a busy overnight shift in the maternity ward. Five babies born after midnight, one emergency C-section and one was a 'drive by.' That's when the mother is too far along to take time to register or even be evaluated by the nurse and literally goes straight to delivery. In this case the baby was born 1 minute after she arrived in the birthing unit - after a 40 minute drive in a snow storm. The rural hospital has closed its birthing unit for some reason so people have to drive into the city to give birth. So lots of new babies last night.

Dh and I had a lovely, quiet day - no company just us two. Most weekly chores are finished by Saturday afternoon, so Sundays are free.

RRose, congratulations on finishing your run; that is an awesome accomplishment!! 8-)

((Hugs)) to those not feeling well --- Twins', Harmony & ??. Hope you feel better soon.

Harmony, I'm glad you were able to get you bikes fixed. I wish I had a bike and someone to ride with!

Dh called ds#3 yesterday just to say hello and had to hang up right away. Ds called back a couple of hours later.....turns out that he spent the day in hospital with dgd17. Turns out she had a stomach virus really bad (spewing from both ends) and was dehydrated. They gave her an iv with medication. They called on their way home so we would know she was feeling better. I'm sure it will be a couple of days to get her strength back!

The same dgd17 will be here next weekend with her high school band to play at Disney. Her dmom (ddil) will be with them as a chaperone. Dh and I are going to drive over to meet them sometime for lunch or dinner; not sure of the day, but would have to be either Sat. or Sun. Then sometime in April the whole family will be coming for a visit during their spring break. Can't wait to see them!

Blessed, I'm glad you had a good trip to Ind. Hope your trip home is pleasant as well!

Hang in there, Lucy.... take one day at a time! You can do it!

Dh wants to go to a hobby shop tomorrow to pick up a few pieces of track for the train set that has none. They are all boxed up and ready to pass on to dsons!

Church was well attended today. I was pleased when I realized we were not only on time but running ahead of time AND both kids had their hair combed and dressed well (yes, I confess that I forgot to brush DGD3 hair before going to church a couple weeks ago…..so I did the best I could with her waist length hair using a comb in the church bathroom). ANYway, it was nice moment when I realized It was a low stress morning getting everyone out the door in time. I'm slowly getting used to having another child to care for and mapping out time for it.

I having been using the 3x5 cards to "tell" me what to do and then Time Meter app to record & log the time it took me to complete it. I really like the combination of using those together so I stayed focused and effectively followed my plan.

While watching the kids play outside this afternoon, I started listening to The 12 Week Year (today's Daily Deal at Audible). Instead of looking at goals in a yearly format, they are developed and worked in a 12 week format. The condensed time brings focus and urgency. I haven't committed to doing it until I think it through, but I really think it could have a place in the tools of managing my goals.

RamblinRose , Congrats! BIT WTG! :P

Did 3 LOL, s2s, shampooed, clipped fingernails, found some stories in my file, ended up with 13, to continue to the end or outline, then write the rest of the way. I need to put the stories in seasonal and holiday order, by deadlines, too. It's a lot of work, but well worth it, because it's challenging, yet fun to do it.

We're staying home tomorrow. It'll be very stormy again.

Wednesday, DH runs to Costco, Thursday's his retirees luncheon, and our week's just a busy week, for each of us, in our own ways, with our own things. :) :) It's nice though, how we don't put pressures on each other, to glue each other to each others' hips 24/7 and can be independent of one another, have our own interests, yet to be here, together, and share life on and off, with each other, throughout the day, and I enjoy bouncing ideas off him, too. He has good sense.

Have a nice good night's sleep, Everybody! :D Enjoy your upcoming week, too! For those of you in the storm's path, on the East Coast, stay safe, stay warm.
