Yes, it's "quiet" at the Village. I'm wondering how many are affected by the snow back East?

DH is watching a Sylvester Stallone movie right now, I'm just not in "the mood" for it, and it's called "First Blood." He said it's supposed to take place in the Pacific NW, but they don't say what State. But DH thinks it's filmed in Canada. It's the first Rambo movie.

I think I'll go work on DGD-2's dress some more this evening. I worked so hard today, totally overdid, but it needed to get done. Lots of heavy lifting, rearranging, redecorating, and lotsa LOL, too. Emptied the DW, dusted, but not in all rooms. Dumped trash, did the kitchen countertops. "Plan" on doing the bathrooms tomorrow, and sweep and mop the fir kitchen floor. (It really needs it.)

Received 2 nice letters today, a magazine saying they're so glad I signed up for automatic renewal, when I did NOT! I've been letting this particular magazine "lapse" because I no longer like them. I wrote "Cancel" on their invoice, told them I don't want to subscribe, and we'll "see" what happens next. This is a magazine, which I let "go" way last Sept. 2014, but oh no. I've automatically renewed? I DON'T THINK SO! I've only renewed to 1 magazine, of late, which is NOT this other one. These magazines sure do try to entrap people, when they least suspect it. The problem is how they send these invoices to people who "forgot" that they did NOT renew, so they pay anyway! I don't think it's right, IMHO. We'll see if they contact me now, or not. If they send the magazine to me, I'll phone them, to cancel over the phone in addition to what I've already written on the invoice. I ought to remember, who I subscribe to and if it's an automatic service or not. Anyway, they just rubbed me the wrong way today, when I opened their invoice, which came without a magazine to boot. It was underlined, too, where they said: PAYMENT IS DUE NOW. Well, well, well.... I don't think so, so I'm not going to pay it and it's the principal of the whole thing. It irks me. Moving on...

A day filled with she moments! Long day started early toddlerN came just after 8 here till 5 ish I just finished mopping waiting on h to get in the shower so I can run the dishes and do up a couple loads of laundry may need to wait until the a m now.

Grands had the brats from the street behind us after school for a while they had set it up on the bus before I knew about it. Their mom had a fight with my friend last summer on a walk, the girl called me a name. So afterwards I clued dd in on this family situation, when I agreed I thought it was another kid up the st. On the "aproved " friends list. Today the brother came too. I was already frazzled, add 2 extra kids ack they got cookies and I had them haul out the wagon for me. So it was ok.

Earlier today I revived a chick but it is not walking wondering if I did the right thing. ~ Sigh ~

Before the the toddler "helped " mopping with water from the toilet ack I was not my best after that! So I am cleaning that up with a baby chick in my bra to warm it up. Sheesh.

I was going to check in before but the net was down.
Yarn meeting was ok.

Dgson wanted to borrow a toy to decorate his. Valentine's box from a friend that lives not far from us I told him to make sure it was okay with both mom's well he did not, his mom said she thought something was up, I think he was trying to pull a fast one.

Hoping Friday is worth the wait.

Hope things turn out right with the chicks, Nancy.

I suppose I was away from the computer partly because I had my green-eyed boy3 for part of the day. We played his new Hot Wheels with a race track. That was a slice of life! He knows exactly how to put the track together and take it apart. Also more and more and more Thomas the Tank Engine on the tv. He just never grows tired of anything Thomas. They certainly targeted their audience with those characters.

Also those family responsibilities with cousins started up again now that one cousin has gotten over health troubles. Have meetings next week. Anyway, that translated to long phone calls and I guess I "had gotten up on the wrong side of the bed" because I'm just irritated about the whole thing. Just some moments of being told I should have known something , then thinking it through and before the end of conversation, reminding of our previous conversation in which I was told the opposite, so they didn't know either, now did they!?! Ugh. Hate that kind of revised history.

Harmony, yes I guess it could have been considered minimalistic since there was so much floor space afforded per furniture item. But even though there was absolutely nothing ON any furniture, there were a lot of antiques, so individual pieces of furniture had complicated or interesting looks. It was not decorated in a modern style. All the window treatments were valences alone, no draperies.

I went on-line and cancelled my subscription at the magazine's website. Whew! It's final now.

Nancy , Sorry about the chick and the toilet mop water, too. Oh, my... That DOES bring back memories of little ones under foot at home.

Harriet , I have 2 Nook e-books, by the same author, who is a minimalist, too. She has a website, which is interesting, too. If I remember, I'll look her up on my Nook, to go to her website. It'll be interesting to see if she has a newsletter, too. I wrote a note to myself, on a post-in pad, to remind me.
