I'm s2s and the garbage and recycle have been cleaned out for the week. Next up, hang up clothes to dry.

I received our lease renewal form and our rent is going up $49 per month (1.6%.) I've asked for a discount in order to sign for another year. Otherwise, I'll move over to month-to-month with the option to leave with 60 days notice. If they are trying to sell the building (rumours abound regarding this), then locking in as many tenants as possible is a good thing. They can be flexible with lease amounts, when I moved in they offered a 3 year lease with no increase but then a guaranteed increase at the end. I chose to pass on that since I wasn't sure we'd like the building or even apartment living.

I'm ADDing like crazy today. The cornbread is made, though and most of the kitchen is cleaned up (mixing things are put away but the cast iron is still cooling and there are crumbs to deal with. I also quickly swept the apartment with the electric broom.

NOW to hang up those clothes to dry!

d Nancy happy friday
d lady .. glad you are able to stay home is this weather
k have fun singing tonight. I have had ADD behavior since monday geesh louise

Being out of the house for the month made me go back to not wanting to clean house much and loose focus. I really had a rhythm going for a long time and started to really enjoy my house goals but having time off with so many people has made the ADD lack of focus hit home hard.
I think I have to start adding balance again to my routine in the house by adding routines and social events out of my house again.

Next week has many cut up days.
Monday: lunch w d sil, Tuesday take d uncle for more tests all day, Wednesday go back to oncologist with d uncle and errands. And I have a feeling next week will be unpredictable. So maybe planning a BWP might be helpful re: cleaning.

My goal for today is to empty the garage (aka temporary storage area) of all empty boxes and plastic tubs. I'm washing all the empty plastic tubs and lids as I go through them matching the lids with the containers. This is a huge effort but I will be glad to get them out of this area so I can see how much I have to unpack.

LadyM: during our move, I'd collapse the box as soon as it was emptied and put it in the bathtub in the bathroom in the office. I could pull the curtain and it made all the empty boxes disappeared but at the same time I had a place to keep them before giving them away to people moving out of the building.

Plastic bins were another matter. Most of mine didn't even next so quite often a room was almost finished but looked a mess until I started moving them all back to the house and storing them there!

Clothes are hung up to dry, I've had lunch and I'm on the treadmill now. I'm in my new shoes and orthodics. The instructions with the orthodics say to use then only for a few hours at a time until you get used to them. Certainly, my glutes are complaining. I'll wear my hiking boots today for working at the church since they are comfortable for lots of steps.
Now to try and organize my thoughts and energy.

I'm breaking down the empty cardboard boxes and using them for the base of my vegetable garden this year. The abundance of stickers is going to make doing a regular garden impossible this year. Sooooo my plan is to do a very limited garden on top of the cardboard.

The snow is coming down and the roads are slick. Our school superintendent made a good decision to cancel school. Hopefully the nearby schools will be able to get their children home safely.

The death of Leonard Nimoy has us sad. HRH emailed saying, "he's part of my life", which was certainly true for all our family. Favorite programming back when I was in high school, actually, was absolute silence to hear what Mr. Spock would say, and those were re-runs. I was thinking that he would come home from the hospital stay and start getting well again. On Dec 31 he had written, "So grateful for blessings. Wish the same to all. LLAP" meaning, Live Long and Prosper.
