Good Morning. I had no problems getting on. Our time in AZ never changes year-round, now everyone at home is back on our time. :D

Our time here is winding down and we will back home 3 weeks from today. We have been out everyday looking for a new place for next season. Rentals are getting harder and harder to find. We have set up an appointment with a man who just put his park model up for sale day before yesterday. We will see it Tuesday morning. It is fairly new and has the added on Arizona room which is the same footage as the park model. From the outside it looks wonderful so we are anxious to see it. Mr. Guy has never wanted to buy, but it has now come down to almost a necessity if we want to keep coming down here. (And we do!)

My friend Rosie is having a wonderful weekend and she will tell all about it later. Mr. Guy is on the phone with Sweetie right now and hearing all about it. (In case you didn't know - she is Wonder Woman!

I am having friends for dinner so best get busy getting ready.
I go to nature to be soothed and healed , and to have my senses put in order. John Burroughs

Norma, I am always amazed at how fast your time in Arizona flies by. I am now anxious to hear from RR about her latest adventure.

I fixed us a brunch, since I was so late getting started on breakfast. The last time I did that, I still wasn't really hungry at supper time. Hope that holds true again today. The scales have jumped 3 lb. and held steady the last 2 days. I am hoping that is from water retention after taking A leve for back pain.

I have my email confirming the pick-up of the mat. Guess I need to shower and get busy.

Hello, villagers ~
DH and I are back from late lunch at the truck stop. The sun is shining and it is warm enough (42F) that we both went out with just light jackets over long sleeve Tshirts. Feels wonderful not to have the weight of multiple layers, scarf, gloves ... although I will need to add a sweater as soon as the sun starts going down.

Yesterday's birthday party for DAunt (80) was fun. I chatted with cousins I haven't seen for a couple of years. I was also very happy to see DSis's girls with their spouses and kids, and 1 of DB's sons with his wife -- DMom was so proud to have the younger generation represented at the occasion. DMom and DAunt were also happy to visit with 2 cousins from their own generation whom they have not seen for a long time.

I thought the best part of the party was being able to get together with extended family members for a happy occasion instead of a funeral. :)

This coming week's calendar does not look terribly busy, but the following week will be packed full of out-of-the-house activities. :| I will need to use my time wisely this week to prepare.

Well the joke is on us. When I went to Sta ples to pu the mat, the gal called and asked a guy to bring up the mat. It was the young guy from yesterday. She told me that it was the only one they had and they had put books on it to flatten it. It still has a corner that is not flat. I told her the young guy had told us to order one and when I went to do that it said they had 16. She said she had seen the same thing but it was wrong. So they suggested I put it flat in the sun and that if it doesn't flatten out, I can order another one. She did say it would come rolled also. So I put an old flat sheet on the patio and laid it on there to hopefully flatten.

Dd1 brought by 2 slices of the Red Velvet cake. Dd2 called and asked me to come and get some chocolate sheet cake, so I did. Dd2 asked me to watch the kids for about an hour from 4:45 - 5:45. She needs to take her dh to the farm to pick up his older pick-up. He is letting dgd18 drive his newer one, starting tomorrow because her car goes in the shop tomorrow. This is to repair the driver side front door and area that were damaged when dgs20, backed straight out of our driveway, into dgd18s car that was directly across the street. I have to say that I am so proud of everyone involved because not one cross word was ever exchanged over this incident and it was settled to everyone's satisfaction.

Guess I will wipe down the shelves in the guest room closet before I go to dd2s to babysit.

That's amazing, Lilac! You should be proud of everyone. Red velvet cake. . . Mmmm.....
I'm glad the party for daunt was fun, Book.
Dh and I will be in Arizona 3 weeks from today, Norma! A long weekend getaway for us. I'm really looking forward to it! We're staying in Sedona and plan on doing a lot of hiking.
Love that quote about women, Harriet!! Our church is mixed on the women in leadership issue. Women do everything and can do everything, though our congregation is mixed in their beliefs on the women elders issue. Our denomination does allow women pastors, but our specific church has only men pastors.
Cathyy, I noticed you're on the west side of the state now.

Hello everyone!

After church, dh and I had a lovely lunch out. I took a nap, and now I'm getting ready to work. I'm going to start laundry and then make progress on my Hebrew translation work. It's not clear if we are going to R's house or if he is coming here with baby J and his mil for dinner. Yes, today will make the 5th time we have eaten with R and baby J since last Saturday when S left town. . . His mil has joined us at our home twice so far. We ate at their home last Sunday, and his mil did not come to small group here last night. We cooked all but one of the times so far, though, to be fair, last night was a potluck. Maybe they'll cook tonight too.

Hi everyone!

Harriet I did not make a cake that day.

I now have this site on my desktop in the favourites list, so I am good to go from 2 computers. I never thought that I would have access to 2 computers and have a third in the other room. It needs repairs, so it just sits there, waiting.

I made a pork roast yesterday with potatoes and carrots all around it for the last hour. This is the third weekend in a orw that I made a really nice dinner. Mike and my first husband, Don, (my dd's dad) both told me that I couldn't cook. Wayne praises my cooking and we plan different stuff all the time.

Today we drove down to Niagara Falls, New York to do some grocery shopping. We stopped in Niagara Falls, Ontario, to book our wedding dinner at a hotel that has an awesome restaurant. We decided to have a very late lunch at the casino in the buffet.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

Back inside after doing yard work & chicken chores for some exercise. It is 62* out now 37* for an over nite low & sunny outside here. I raked the back yard filled the chicken's fount, and raused the geat lamp up, took the crock pot out of the coop for cleaning before storing it for next winter.

Hubby said guys at said their snow birders relations came home earlier this year because it is warmer here than it is in the in southwest.

Dh and I were discussing the problems people had coming to the site and it turns out entering

SHEsOrganized.org

is different from entering

www.SHEsOrganized.org

which blew my mind but I'm wondering if that's part of the problem people had in finding cookies. We have decided it was a cookie issue and dd said another trick (aside from changing browsers or removing all your history and every cookie) is to try to access the site from a Private Browsing session. Not sure if all browsers offer that, but Chrome does. That means that it starts fresh with no old cookies. Of course, you'd have to do that every time you came here. But it is another method to try.

I think all the regulars are present and accounted for except Lucylee and FelineFriend. FF hasn't posted since early last week so I'm actually concerned about her hoping that nothing has happened to her. I'm assuming Lucylee is just having a regular level of busy weekend at sporting and/or music events.

My church services went fine. Had 'coffee hour' with the second church after. The cognitive level of that retirement home is much lower than the other although a few are on the ball. They had also scheduled a movie conflicting with church so we only had 4 people this month, three were repeats, though. All Catholics (and they have their own service in the morning.)

Dinner out with the kids was fun. Ds brought the new girlfriend so we met her for the first time. Dd had met her previously.

Dh is driving dd and dsil home now. Ds will drive us to the airport tomorrow so we'll see him then.

I'm off to continue the packing process. And probably early bed tonight.
