Waving to all!
Moe got stitches out and talked to vet re both ddogs. Vet feels that Moses probably has osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in his painful leg but that it is early. (This is in addition to the tumor which was removed that was benign.) Treatment for a younger dog is amputation and chemo - at Moses age we don't know that would be the best plan and we may treat the pain and slow it down if at all possible. Vet (who is wonderful, btw) suggests we start preparing our kids. And Macs has had more issues walking and a loss of bathroom control occasionally, then didn't eat yesterday. Vet thinks the eventual decision with Macs won't be as clear cut but that kids should be prepared. Of course, a couple of years ago we didn't think Macs would last this long. So, lots to think about.
Dh got on an earlier flight out of Florida but won't know about getting a flight from ATL to here until he's there.
My energy is pretty low today, in spite of needing to deal with the event on the 21st. PODA for rest of day:
-massage/body work at 3
-will pick up a few groceries after that
-perhaps a shower later before the evening out

Re: FAST FRIDAY
Did a few things in the yard, processed the mail, & unloaded the dishes. Happy to have the net working here now could not get access earlier and it was iffy yesterday.
This Fri. is going by too fast. Dinner is on the crock pot. TodflerN iz here clamoring for a walk wearning a princess dress so will have to change if we go to the field.
I picked the potatoes out if the veg mix before cooking it up. Cooked those up for the chickens they were a hit! Neighbor is not happy thst the hens were debugging over there, I am tempted to remind her about the litter of kittens she had that tuned into quite the pests and dug up my flowers too. Did not think that would really help.

Re: FAST FRIDAY
Hello Dear Ladies,
We've got rain here.
Have not felt well for a couple of days, think it's allergies as I'm not running a fever. Rested a lot for two days, took some time off from work but am heading in today.
Need to head to the shower now.

Re: FAST FRIDAY
Hi everyone! I just got a massive amount of work completed at payroll, checked in, and sent to the change control board. I am rewarding myself by coming here (it is my lunch break). Last night I had Girls' Night Out with a crankmonster. She had brought a page of homework, but had forgotten which problems to do. There were only 7, so I tried to convince her to do them all. After much arguing, she finally did them, in less time than it had taken to complain about them. Part of her problem was she had not eaten, so we remedied that. I got her home later than usual due to the delay, but she cleared it with her dad first. When I got home, I found that the tomcat who 'aims high' had created a need for me to do massive catbox cleaning and mopping. I also did some budget and finance stuff, and have caught up on Master Card through January. That leaves Feb and March expenses to pay, but they are normal, not like Dec and Jan. I am over the hump. MC will probably get a lot of my tax refund, but not all.
I have not done a complete CUOP, since I have not been here since, not yesterday Thursday, but Thursday last! I did search for my name and the status of Moses. I found the good report on Tuesday, but, unfortunately, that has been changed.
Sometime this afternoon, I need to call one of the animal org people about a fundraiser and find out if she needs help tonight and/or tomorrow night. I also need to get my house in shape PDQ. Our video person is coming not tomorrow Saturday, but the next to get shots of my foster cats. The house should look like a cathouse, not a pigsty.
I'm not very excited about my lunch, but I should eat it. I have to demo 3 reports at a meeting this afternoon.

Re: FAST FRIDAY
I just realized its Friday th 13th and I've alway considered it my lucky day...and that seems to be holding true. Growing up with only 13 letters in your entire name makes you think that way
Here's my luck so far... Went to the grocery store and it was empty. Around here shopping during this time of the year can be a nightmare. My area's population swells to more than 200, 000 people due to the snowbirds...and except for Norma, Mr. Guy and their friends I wish they would all go away.
While at the grocery store I was standing in the steak sauce section pining away for some Dale's Steak Sauce...haven't had any in years and the four bottles I brought from Alabama are long gone.....happened to look up and there on the top shelve was the Dale's. I was so excited to see it I could have done a happy dance.
Ran into a snafu when the checker guy, an adult with Downs, bagged my groceries. He placed a box of soda on the bottom of my cart and while I was rolling the cart outside, it feel off causing some cans to explode. Fortunately I had stuff to clean up the mess. I didn't want to ruin his day, so I just let the episode go. Usually when I'm at the check out counter I place like things together so when I get home the groceries are easier to unload. While putting the bags in my car I had to laugh...nothing was bagged in any order. He had the eggs and bottled water together. The bread was packed with stuff that made it smuched. Cans were with vegetables....Now remember I spent my life working with kids like this so I thought to myself...this is SO typical and smiled. I'm just happy he has a job and seems to enjoy it.
My luck continued as I zoomed through Kolh's looking for some sandals. You got to buy summer shoes around here fast...usually in late Jan or Feb...because they disappear. Found a pair I really like and had one left in my size. Went to pay for them and between the sale price and my coupons I saved 35 bucks. Then stopped in to another shoe store and found another pair I like. Amazing because I have weird feet and finding shoes that fit, look good and feel good are hard for me to find.
And when I got home and unloaded the groceries and started putting them away, I found a "bonus" bag. Seems the checkout guy added somebody's bag of sweet potatoes to my groceries...lucky day for me....but unlucky for them

Feeling sad for Max and Moses. I know my days with Sadie are getting there. She seems in great shape, but has lost her hearing and some times just stand in the same spot and stares into space. She is 14 and I know she's had a great life so everyday I try to prepare myself for something that there is no way to prepare for.
Laugh at you Harmony...I'm right there with you with lifting heavy bags. I was so strong in the past and I hate losing my strenght more than I do gaining my wrinkles.

Re: FAST FRIDAY
Sadie, I hope you feel better soon!
Ramblin', it was not I with the laundry room story, for I have none! I believe it was Dee's daughter's house. That was the right thing to do about the grocery mishap. Maybe Sadie just thinks deeply now that she has gotten so wise.
Hi to blessed! I need to post more to you in decluttered home. You and your dear family on my mind.
Twins' Mom. I'm so glad Moses has this good vet, and maybe some smart ways to help him feel better. Macs surprises vets because he has such a happy, healthy home that he just gets better even when it's not expected.
Elizabeth, your cats will become starlets!
Continued with big decluttering push here, which had started in the storage barn as I reported in decluttered home. Now the upstairs has had lots of work, too. In fact, I'm quite tired. Also I'm a bit worse for the wear.
I was up on a lightweight chair which tipped forward with me when I stepped off forward (holding table beside me), and I ended up sort of jumping down with its back under me. A bruise across the top rear of left thigh - not so bad, but humbling.

Re: FAST FRIDAY
Well, Rosie, you know how I hate to think of Sadie the Wonder Dog having to go to the Bridge someday. She is a sweet baby girl to me.
Twins, I have said goodbye to many animals in my lifetime and I am thinking of you. It is so hard.
Tomorrow night is Spaghetti Night at Norma and Mr. Guy's rented house. There will be 6 of us, Rosie and Sweetie and Dee and G. and us of course. It will be the last one in a rental as we have purchased a Park Model with AZ room here in the park where we have rented for 5 years. We are excited and it has taken me forever to get to sleep now as many thoughts are racing around in my head. We will be living here Oct. through April and at Nevada May through September. We love both places so I think it will work out really well. One thing I know for sure - all of my holiday decorations will move down here. Except the 4th of July things. As I said - I am excited.
Hope you all have a great weekend. The Valley of the Sun is a mad house this weekend as we have Good Guys and NASCAR both. Makes many people very happy!

Re: FAST FRIDAY
Oof, what a day.
Started with a meeting for the library group at 8:30. Part of the group decided that since the tea party for little girls was so successful, we should do a tea party for adults ... in May, less than 2 months. They figured out how to make it happen by working out a deal with a Tea Room/Cafe in a neighboring Tiny Town. They chose May 9th ... a date when half of the volunteers cannot attend, myself included. However, they have a solid plan and insist that they can handle the work with a minimum crew, so ... I'll do the bookkeeping and help with publicity, that will be about all I can do.
After that meeting was a meeting about LEGO Club for summer plans.
Then a lunch meeting with a friend.
When I got home, there was an Email about something I had sent to the sewing group from someone who wants to argue about something I wrote. This was from a prickly member of the group who always wants to argue no matter what anyone says.
Time-consuming to write a reply to her with carefully chosen words which may or may not help.
All of these things were last-minute additions to my calendar so now I can finally get to the work I had actually scheduled for today.
Dishes are done but I need to work on the other 2 Ds. Tomorrow at sewing group we will be sewing for charity, so I need to check my tools and make sure all will be ready to load into the car at 7:15AM.
That will also make the tools ready to take to sewing day camp Thursday morning. Unfortunately, I won't be able to leave the tools and machine in the car between tomorrow and Thursday, I'll have to bring them back in the house tomorrow afternoon and load out again early Thurday.
I'm ready for a water break. BRB.

Re: FAST FRIDAY
BookS I hear you about the prickly member. Have known folks like that when they say "I want to talk to you" it is not good news nor fun usually a whine and moan that I wished I could have skipped. Sigh...
Time to check on dinner.
We are supposed to have rain next week here we need it.

Thank you for thinking of me and the "boys." Neither of them is ready to go but we are getting nearer. I've lost lots of dogs and more often, cats, over my life, but I feel most sad for my kids who grew up from the third grade with these guys.
Dh is home so we will go out tonight. Too bad the massage didn't help the headache!
