Yes, we miss those who have moved on over the years.
I was logged in then got a phone call and that took me away for a good while. I noticed this new setup unlogged me. I don't remember that happening with the old sites. Maybe I just was never away quite this long.
I've had the usual day. Nothing ever seems new around here. I did the usual couple hours at my desk. All the usual chores that get done daily, clean up the kitchen, look at the laundry to see what needs done, answer a million phone calls...
Talked with DH on the way back from his continuing ed. He was really pleased with the class I found for him. It was only half as much $ and hours closer than everything else I found. He is back out working now.
I answered a letter and got that in the mail.
Sunny, a friend gave me some of her bulbs also, but they are bigger than ours and red. The stems always come up with at least 4 flower heads on them. They have multiplied and now I have our orange ones with a few red ones too. I gave her some of my orange ones.

Harmony, those red flowers with four blooms sound like the ones we have in our back yard along the fence line, Aunt Harriet gave us those. They are all dark except one set of bulbs which are light pink, very pretty when they bloom. I'm glad you shared some of your flowers with your dfriend.
Sadie, that was a nice story from your work!
I got the new dbt crd activated, just have to record the number a few places. I have to copy a few papers for the notice I got from our flood ins co. If one is a permanent resident in this state the fee is $25 + the ins coverage....if only a part-time resident the fee is $225 + the ins coverage !!! Then we'll have to make a trip to the office; guess that will be Friday.
Dh got a phone call from his dniece J. She had been in the hospital recently for a few days with pneumonia. Her dfather, our dbil, was also in hospital with the same. After a week they moved him to a nursing home for rehab because there is no one at home to care for him. They didn't take good care of him and he is back in the hospital again. I think he is in his 90s now and I wonder if he'll ever get home again.

Elizabeth, glance in members forum and you will find the check-in thread and that's where you'll find the info.
Sunny, so sorry to hear about dh's family illnesses. I know from experience that pneumonia takes a long time to get over. If they are recuperating from a lot of antibiotics, probiotics do help with that. I hope they both feel better soon.
Harmony, pm to you
I can't believe I made two trips out on errands today. Something wrong with errands planning when that happens to you.
Desk Day today, several calls; I'm still waiting for a call-back but am thinking the bank fellow has gone home.

Re: WEDNESDAY WANNA'S
Hi again everyone! I have finished and written up the research. The payroll task I am in the middle of now is easy, but time consuming, and somewhat boring. I wanna get it done this afternoon, but am not sure if I can. There is lots of typing needed.
I took a short break to order my meds, look at my calendar, and do some vacation calculations. The latter was somewhat depressing, because I only have 10 days per year. I have about a half a day leftover from last year, but that will probably be used to complete the process on my will. There will be one day in Oct for my brother's wedding, 4 days for Christmas, and 5 left for a summer vacation with DD13. I have not had a summer vacation for two years due to my finances, and this one will involve staying at places like KOA. Fortunately, she likes that idea, but she wants a tent, and I want a Kamping Kabin! I thought we would go to CO and visit Elitch Gardens (one or two days) and the water park (two days). Not sure what else, but am confident we will think of something.

Re: WEDNESDAY WANNA'S
Back from our sojourn today. Took us just about an hour both ways. Chatted a while with dfriends, then went for lunch (went to Greek restaurant in a strip mall that serves Italian.
) It was really quite good. Brought half of my lunch portion of baked ziti home and dh brought probably a 1/3 of his baked spaghetti. Later had fresh strawberry shortcake -after we played a game of dominoes. Lots of good laughs before we left at 4:44 -we were home by 5:40. When we got home dd wanted to know if we'd go out with them for Chinese. Not tonight -we're both still feeling full from the strawberry shortcake.
Think I'll read and rest a little bit. Then think I'll list a few more things as I start filling another box for donation -have things ready to go in it. For us I wouldn't list but dd can claim them on her taxes. We'll have them and some TV's and bed and dresser picked up while she's on spring break the end of the month.
DH picked up some ointment for his stye on his eye. Hopefully this is going to make it better.

Checking in from Wanna do Thursday. So far - boxed Tmeds and Sups. I need to get consistent with the sups as they are for a reason.
I'm trying the back of the envelop list of tadas today.
time for screens and noise off, and me to get on with my day.

Yes, I noticed the comment about FF too and was hoping some clarification would follow. What does "move on" mean? I hope all is well with her. . . .
Very tired here. Still have one panel Q to finish but will get up early to work on it - when my brain works better. Forgot to buy coffee for moms group so will need to leave the house early to do that tomorrow too. *sigh*

Re: WEDNESDAY WANNA'S
DH came home all in a rush because he was running late to get to youth group, and asked me to take helper home for him. I did that and stopped on the way back for groceries. Ended up with a big cart full. Still looking at food with a
look because I'm never sure what's going to be ok to eat. I got real brave today and ate bran flakes. So far so good. I just think my "plumbing" all needs overhauled. Oh, dear, thinking about that, sure hope not! Just need to figure out a good diet.

Re: WEDNESDAY WANNA'S
to paraphrase Lynlee... ... time for screens and noise off, and me to FINISH my day
Have a productive day, Lynlee!
helia, I have to get up earlier tomorrow, too. Did you see my response to Elizabeth?
This was one of those days that sort of got away from me, some of which with DPCs Dreaded Phone Calls. A downer of a way to spend a day, lol. I'm remembering a laundry load of towels as the high point of my achievements. That's sad !
It turns out the bank fellow did call, but the way their (small) bank's name is "written" on the caller ID in all capital letters, no spaces, looks like someone's completely different last name or business name. I was pondering it, trying to sound it out and thinking someone sure did have an unusual business name there! Only when HRH later pointed out that part of it could be read as the initials of the bank did I realize I'd been so clueless. Sigh. But he never left a message. If he's not going to leave his name and say he called, is it my fault? Double sigh. Oh well, by tomorrow I have to go right by his branch to another meeting so I will just drop in and SEE him. I think I'll tell him that he should call home sometime and then look at the caller ID to see how unfamiliar it looks.

Re: WEDNESDAY WANNA'S
Summer is having a last hurrah here today, excepting the onslaught of now northern sun on my veranda can burn my feet.
Started some crotchet while I listened to radio interview.
2nd load of washing is on. trying some new detergent.
