This port was a working port (we're on the southern western tip of Madagascar) and so no walking or anything interesting to look at from the balcony since we are on the port side. The starboard side had a beautiful view.

Didn't matter, I can't walk right now. I can't even be upright for more 30 minutes or so. This morning I had some applesauce and tea and a couple of crackers. That stayed down so dh escorted me to the shuttle to the port gate and I walked around the little market set up and bought some scarves and bracelets and a present for CM (she's like a little kid and wants me to bring her a present each time I go away.)

We were out about 40 minutes including the bus ride which was interesting since the vehicles are so 'primitive' here (the aisle of the bus was about 6" wide and the second one we had to climb up from the back of the bus, the front door didn't open.)

I came back and rested until dh left at 12:45. I waved to him from the balcony and then went to bed. He woke me up when he came in after the tour.

I'd like to say I'm feeling better but I'm not. I've taken some probiotics and ginger (we are at sea again and it is windy so we are feeling the motion.) Dh is at dinner. I've got a salad and sandwich from room service. They didn't even give me potato chips this time, just what I asked for.

BUT, but, but....LadyM, WE MISS YOU when you don't at least peek in!

Yay, there is a God. Just kidding. My printer suddenly noted that the color ink needed replacing. Great, thought I, now I have to go to the store before finishing taxes (my printer absolutely will not print when one of the cartridges needs replacing.) But, lo & behold, in my desk drawer was a brand spanking new cartridge. Hoping that will get me through the rest of the many cartridges I have on hand of black. (I ordered some when I got here, forgetting I had several in a desk drawer.) If I can get anywhere close to using up the black I'll forego the rest of them. Want to get a new printer upon which the scanner will work. Mine quite working in the fall.

Back to copying the multitude of sheets heading off to our tax man. Then I can go mail it hopefully.

I don't really feel like I'm working, but so far, I have
* straightened bed and done 5 min exercise
* ate breakfast, took vitamins
* called grocery store re: boxes for packing
* made hotel reservations for later in April

Need to get busy following the rest of the plan... one thing at a time...

I realized years ago that I can't work (well) with the TV on, Nancy. Way back when I had it on a lot just for noise. But, as I've grown older have found I prefer no noise at all. :D

Hooray! I am done with this part of our taxes. Finished copying everything -send the originals to our tax man. I have soooooo procrastinated on them, fearing we may owe a lot this year. We took some pretty sizeable withdrawals on our investments, putting us in a higher income bracket. Even though we have tax withheld, it won't be near enough. Thinking of you, dTwins, throughout the process.

On the computer to finalize some dates and I have a sticky note on the screen that says, " Check SHE page"
Now maybe I will remember to check in.

DH is having cataract surgery on both eyes within the next 4 weeks. That is 6 Dr. appointments to get around.

I am feeling much better. I finally was able to get a call back from Dr. and I am to double my diabetic meds and continue taking the steroid meds .

Time to answer some emails. The new Presbytery committee I am on has assigned me to handle the social media. Problem - I have no passwords nor info from Committee members to post. So I need to light a fire.

It is SO good to see your smiling face on here, MT. You are missed when you're away you know.

Dh just called to say he just dropped off the 250# of bandages in New Windsor, MD. Wow! He's making good time today. He's now on his way up to Selinsgrove, PA to spend the night. I have a funny feeling he may well call me to ask me to change the reservation. We'll see.

Some of your schedules make my head spin. Twins. Helia. Elizabeth. Lady M (glad you're back).

MT, are they doing your DH's eyes one at a time? Kathryn, hope you get better quickly. :(

I've surely had a working morning here. I got a mess of paperwork ready to take and needed one more from jobsite where I stopped first. DH told me not to take the papers in, they were wrong from the engineer. We'd have been in big trouble if I'd gone there first. He forgot to tell me.

Anyway, went with the one paper that was correct. Stopped at grocery store and got meals for about a week and was frantically chopping, sauteing, putting groceries away when DH calls he needed something...so everything off the stove and out I went into traffic again. That done, back here to finally get dinner in crock pot on high. Big Big mess in the kitchen cleaned up. Compost container dumped and washed and outside airing.

Important phone call made. Card in the mail. Ate breakfast. Made pot of coffee.

Yeah, time for a break. Dee, PM.

Hello, villagers ~
The weather temps are all over the place here recently. While I was at sewing camp, we were fortunate to be sunny and in the mid-50s, so I didn't have to wear my winter coat. Sunday afternoon it got cold enough that I wore the heavy coat to the movie theater. Sunday night we had freezing rain and DH had to spend a long time scraping ice off his car before he could drive to work Monday morning. Yesterday was gloomy but warmer. This morning we woke up to unexpected snow. Yuck.

I was glad yesterday to have a day at home to clean and put things away. I'm doing the same today, making slow progress.

Late this afternoon I will be leaving to go have supper with DOldestSis in the nursing home for her birthday. DYoungerSis will be picking up DMom to meet me over there. It's about an hour drive for me and 20 minutes for DSis/DMom.

I will probably stop at Tiny Town Grocery to pick up milk on my way home.

I know I have to put gas in the car, and I'm hoping to be able to go through the car wash. The car desperately needs a wash, but I need to check on today's predicted high -- don't want the doors to freeze shut.

Tonight I am planning to sew. I borrowed 2 DVDs from the library and I like to sew while watching movies.
