SKIPPABLE! TMI warning....
DGD3 is in day 3 of the stomach crap-O-la. Before the sun came up this morning she had an accident while sleeping. I ended up giving her a bath after cleaning most of **it** off her body. She was so distressed at the mess. We talked and sang through the clean up & bath and she was okay once everything was cleaned up. If she follows LO's sick pattern, she will be able to drink liquids and keep them down by tomorrow. Hopefully we are about past the worst phase.

I had planned to take LO & DGD3 to two community egg hunts this afternoon. Not going to happen though.

I am still working on menu plan in stolen moments.

Menu for today -
B: Bagel, egg, sausage, cheese
L: Everything salad and left over tacos
D: Pizza. Strawberries & whipped cream

Yes I had the ostrich (very good) and cured wart hog (a bit chewier than jammon but similar.)

We just paid our bill and had a long chat with the owner and then their night porter. He wanted to know about Canada and how we lived in such cold. He told us where he lives (in one of the nicer townships) and where he was born. The farthest he's ever been from either here or his birthplace is Johannesburg. He was envious of our free schooling. They have to pay fees. And get their child to and from school. His wife is a teacher so is at work so he does that (after working overnights.)

I've also checked in for our flights. Next up is shower to pjs and pack up the suitcases as much as possible. It is depressing looking at the flights. The first leaves at 1:30 tomorrow and is 9.5 hours. The second leaves on Monday morning (8.5 hours after the first flight arrives) and is almost 14 hours. Then we have 3.5 hours in Toronto and the short flight home. Perhaps we'll get moved to an earlier flight. The kids were going to take us out for dinner but we arrive at 8:15 p.m. so I don't think so.

You are brave to eat that stuff.

I deep deep cleaned 3 bathrooms. I have 4 throw rugs in the washer.

Boiled and dyed the eggs. I guess that's it, I'm bushed. The bathrooms were a lot of work. I'm going to stop for the day, if I don't I know I won't make it to church tomorrow.

Hugs for (LadyM). Wish I could stop that illness for you.

I have my potato salad and deviled eggs done. I pulled the membrane off of 6 racks of baby back ribs. What a mess. This way before bedtime, I can fix the marinade and rebag them. I also have the 2 crusts done for my desserts. In the morning I will just need to do the 2 layers and will be good to go.

Dd2 offered to have a game night for dgs21. His dm is baking him a cake. His birthday was Tuesday and dd1 had taken the day off to go spend the afternoon with him and take him out to eat before coming home that evening. Dh will be able to go for cake but will come home and get to bed early, because he wants to get up at 4, so the pellet grill will heat up and he can put the ribs on.

Of course, dgd18 dd of dd1 has created drama at their house. Her db is home for the holiday weekend and she can't stand it, if there is no drama.

Lilac, I hope you got (and continue to get) better sleep!

Twins' Mom, gee, a relief that you and other guests at seder could find a way to replace the dish that didn't arrive. I'm sure you all were concerned about the couple who didn't come, especially since they were bringing something. Very unusual.

Oh, Harmony - crushed motorcycles are a fear for me. So scary. Bet the eggs are pretty.

Kathryn, what a day, to see a variety of animals like that! I'm glad you didn't do too much yesterday, so that you were feeling well to enjoy all that today.

helia, how nice that GG's family remembered yours with a gift. I'm sure her time with you will be a warm memory for the rest of her life.

LadyM, I, too, wish I could stop that illness for you. ((children and you))

My coughing got worse last evening, which I attribute to falsely believing I could stop the Musi nex since I was on meds. I believe the Musi nex helps keep my breathing passages clearer, therefore keeps me from coughing as much and therefore from sleeplessness and chest pain. I called and a nurse called me back - she saw no chance any dr would prescribe inhaler for me without seeing me and was suggesting I drive 1.5 hours to a 24/7 urgent care - no thanks, I'll wait 'til Monday when office opens. But I took her honey suggestion and cool mist humidifier suggestion. She was fine with the Musi nex, although she says it doesn't do much for her. Took Musi nex too late, but then slept from 2 to 8, so ultimately a better night. Also napped today - seems to be a daily thing.

Dd16 and dstepson did the staining of the new cabinet today. The new space, electricity and lighting in the storage barn was a big help for that. They could walk all around the work table to do the staining and had plenty of light from the new flourescents.

Got a discouraging phone call about some friction among some extended family. I'm convinced this is simply misunderstanding and over-reaction. I suppose I should be grateful to be hearing about it after the fact rather than having been in the midst. Sigh. All I could do was reassure that I see nothing to be upset about and am only concerned about the friction itself.

Felt well enough to visit my colorist this evening and my hair's in a scrunchie to set. I believe the color took better this time, since I was using the one color of the one brand I've learned to trust. I just gave up on trying to find a lighter color for a while, and ordered 6 of this medium one. I'll look reasonable tomorrow and even have something acceptably "spring-but-cool" to wear. I will not, however, sound reasonable, so I hope the other soprano shows up. If not, though, dd will be fine.

Although I still did not "exercise" I watched The Addams Family second movie in parts today, and when I finished it this evening I felt well enough to dance around to the fun music that plays afterwards. Silly but active-ish. :)

I have changed out a rolling cart. One out of the creativity room, taller one in living room, shorter one cleared off for h to use for taxes. Now I can have room to sort ond clean up the creativity room that should help.

Cooking ahead some turkey sausage to use tomorrow.
