Finishing an early lunch here.

My knees used to be a problem for me, but they're not anymore. Once in a while when I go for a jog, I'll get a sharp-ish pain in one right at the beginning of the jog. I just ignore it and continue, and all is well after a minute or less. I certainly wouldn't recommend that method, but so far so good with my knees. The loud clicking sound has even diminished. The real test will come next time I go mountain hiking with a heavy backpack - which might happen this summer, if we can ever get hotel reservations, etc.

More done:
- appt. for Maia made for Saturday a.m.
- appt. for dd16 made for Monday. I was very surprised I could get her in so quickly.
- small lol dried, folded, completely put away
- B and N
- TJ
- library
- assembled bus schedule so I can take the bus home. If I walk home, I won't be home until after 7 pm.
- lunch

Before leaving in 40 minutes, I will:
- print out gift order for mentee
- print out activity for Ss
- write in mentee's card
- finish unloading dw and dishdrainer
- make my bed, if time
- change clothes - put on athletic shoes, gather items

Helia: that sharp pain was what I was getting and walking it out worked. I usually got it when standing after sitting for a while. This week's pain is different - it is all the time, and it is in the opposite knee as well as my usual knee issues.

The only way I can walk with constant sharp pains is to march, which looks weird. And worries ds.

Our church musician just posted on FB that it is indoor recess today (weather is mid-sixties and sunny.) Bear-sighting near the school!

Just sharing that MT posted on FB yesterday that her Dr. visit resulted in NO cataract surgery and NO change in her glasses. She was a happy camper -we're glad for you, MT.

I'm missing several people here -but I expect to see them all at least from time to time. ;)

Moring Y'all...

I don't know how fast I am going this morning, but I am getting there which is all that is important.

Hot weather is about to hit...meaning the 100's should be here by tomorrow. Am NOT looking forwards to that at all. And there are only a few days left in the school year which means I too will be off for the summer LOL. I still have a few more assignments in May that I have promised to teachers, but don't think I will be taking any more assignments. Worked three days last week which will do me till next week.

After making a committment to my weight issues this time last year I am happy to say I am still maintaining my loss which I consider a major achievement. However it did take a life style change for me....and it was mostly in my head. Ihad to admit I was addicted to sugar...its in everything including bread. I've learned to reset my brain and come up with ways to satisfy my taste buds.

I don't do sugar any more nor anything white...flour, rice, bread. I've learned to make bread with almond flour and found other wonderful ways to eat healthy. I rarely drink sodas...that was a hard one to give up and have substituted soda made with seveia. I've learned how to eat out where every we go and haven't had pizza in forever. I use a veggetti which turns my squash and such into pasta like noodles. I still cook the same way for Sweetie but make sure if I can't eat it, have something to replace it with. I keep fish in my freezer for that reason. Also Sweetie loves chicken cooked a hundred different ways but I get really tired of it...sometimes I eat so much I feel like I'm gonna start clucking....thats when I pull out a steak and cook it for myself. I've learned to keep single servings and can cook it on my stove top to marvel my outdoor grill.

I invested in a Nutra Bullet for Sweetie's birthday and that has made a huge difference as well. I make natural smoothies most nights by using fruit that I freeze...did you know you could freeze bannanas....some almond milk and ice cubes and they are to die for. I just buy fruit..all sorts of berries and grapes...clean and toss them in the freezer. Then at night I throw stuff in the blender and blast it for a minute. I add a bit of seveia and its done. Don't think I've bought cookies for Sweetie in a long time. That helps me out as well.

For the most part I am happy with my life...I wish my son lived closer. I wish I was living closer to my mom so I could help make her life more fun and easier...after all she's 87...but all in all I have nothing to complain about. Have good friends..waving to y'all, good health...for the most part, and a wonderful husband. Life can change in a heart beat so I am always grateful for every good day that I get.

Off to run errands before it gets too hot...cy'all later. :D :D :D

Good morning. It's still morning here at least.

I am definitely not faster today. Felt quite unwell last night, so I am resting a lot today so I will be ready for work tomorrow.

Sorry to hear about all the sore knees. I use Helia's method of just running through the knee pain, but I also don't recommend that to others. A couple of things that have also helped me are being grateful for both the desire and the ability to run, and remembering quotes from the Bible referencing knees which are usually in the context of praising God. Sorry if this sounds too "out there". I know feeling burdened really slows me down as well, so I am trying to lay those burdens down. :)

Wishing you all a happy day.

Home again - toes are beautiful! I walked through a B ig L ots just to look around then to WF for Omega-3 and to grocery. Need to finish putting things away and be ready to head over to neighbor's just before 3:15.

I talked to ds briefly. He is stressed about doing well on exams tomorrow and Friday am but is not in danger of failing anything as far as knows. He's done with exams Friday mid morning so could possibly make a trip home - probably would have to go get him and then get him back. His friend Z comes into ATL Thursday evening so ds wants to spend some time with Z on Friday. I told him we would call him if we feel we must make an immediate decision about Moses. I caught Macs going in and eating some of Moses food, I didn't put out much this morning but I'm glad he's up to eating something. Hopefully, Moses will get some of Macs' food if he's still hungry, it does look as tho someone picked at it while I was out.

Need to put away groceries and reboot....

Not a lot of progress here.

I was working on the investment reconciliation but dh wanted to go for a walk when he finished his conference call so I finished the month I was working on and headed down to get my bike (no way I could walk to the store.) He showed up to take his bike instead so I waited for him to get it ready (takes at least 10 minutes.) Then we went to the store, and biked back.

I had lunch after 2 and am ready for a nap now. But still have the rest of the reconciling to do.

Ds will be here around 5:15 for dinner.

Weight loss would definitely help dh, too, Kathryn. And the WillowCurve may be just a placebo, but right now he is happy with it.
(((HUGS))) for ALL of y'all dealing with the knee problems.

I am NOT moving faster today... not At All. * Oh, but I think the website is moving faster here. My computer speed is not good, so a lot of times it really IS my problem and not the village, but it seems to be better today. *
Need to get busy with SOMETHING, but I'm probably in rebellion mode... yesterday had to get out and get going... so today I want to do nothing.
I'm a late(in-the-day)-developer, though, y'all know. Last night, I was doing laundry at midnight. So, I haven't thrown all hopes for the day away yet.

Continuing to keep (((Twins))) and family in my thoughts... so sad, trying to make decision for dMoses... (((BIG HUGS)))
Congrats to the Twins on their graduations... I'm amazed too, at how quickly this has happened.

Bear-sighting near the school! WOW, Kathryn!

Oh Twins...I feel for your DD and DS. Thinking about studying and taking finals still make me shutter. I'm SO glad that part of my life is over

Feels to me like they just left for their freshman year this past fall...how can this happen LOL

And Harriet, your DD couldn't have gone to the prom. I didn't think 9 year olds were allowed to attend :D

Dh remembered he needs to leave here at 5:30 so we texted ds. Turns out he was on his way here. He's on the balcony now in my reclining chair, reading.

I've just finished the Quicken updates. Now to have a rest before going back to handle the taxes. I need a clearer, calmer, head for that (Quicken investment stuff often makes me upset because the software is so flaky.)
