I have been down in the dumps today sort of feeling stuck for various reasons. Getting to the last of the seeds as they are done falling now. Yard guys are at the house behind us they are done now I hope trimming their hedge was rather noisy. Landry is going the drain is needing attn. Mailmhas been processed.
Did get a few rows knit up. Cookie dough is in the fridge. Trying to find some thing I thrive at today is providing to be a challenge for me. Next up I need to get the roast prepped for the crock pot. The bread went bad hens were more than happy to help get rid of it.

Just spent 49 minutes on the phone with dfriend from our campground. (Her dh passed away in February down here and she's in the midst of trying to sell off many things. Had to laugh -knowing her dh always had to have the absolute best of everything & $$ were no object-. She had a tool chest looked at up there and thought she knew he'd spent $5k - $6k on it -oh no -it was $20k. She's not at all like that. It was so good to talk to her. She's given up her park model -as of today actually- at the campground but we will get together a few times over the summer. DD and dsonil became very good friends as well as DS-R & DDIL#1.
It's clouding up again -we have some storms in the late afternoon almost every day now. Know poor Sunny has to be getting even more of them. Seems like the storms just keep exploding and enlarging and stall over that part of the state.
Think I'll try to rest just a bit. DD and I have Trivia tonight. Won 1st place last week (a $50 food certificate) and 2nd the week before -$25 certificate. Sure we'll spend some of that tonight. I try to be careful what I order as it's rather late for me and messes with my BS the next day. I have my favorites there and this will probably be the last night I go. Undecided about next Thursday night as it's usually just about 10 when we leave there. I have to get up and be on the road by 6:30 or so that Friday morning. I'm afraid I'll have trouble sleeping that night (like I DON'T EVERY NIGHT!

) If I only knew a simple, fast trick to getting back to sleep.

Just printing Sunday School Certs now.
Had a very successful trip to the license bureau in the nearby mall. Dh and I had to surrender our old health cards and get new ones that expire. We were #27 in line when we arrived so went to the food court and filled in the form. Then I did the banking, dh bought lottery tickets and we arrived back at the office just as our number was being called!
Picked up the mail on the way up from the car and will process that, then do something about my outfits for the weekend. The clothes I have make up 7 outfits. I'm gone 3 days. It seems excessive! (There's a reason, weather goes from 80s to 60s while I'm there - still, I'm sure I can do better.)

Well, it took over 30 minutes to print those certificate. The regular laser printer needs a new drum. It leaves a faint line down the document, fine for regular work, not fine for certificates. The colour laser didn't print, twice, then printed 2 certs, then stopped. Dh couldn't get it to work from his computer either. Not sure if it is an ink issue or something else. It is an 8 year old, under $100 printer that no longer is supported by the manufacturer. Colour toner costs over $100 when available (last time I bought it was from the US where it is cheaper.)
So we tried the ink jet printer. The first one printed off fine, then it said there was no ink. I just put in a new cartridge so that wasn't true but it wanted colour ink too (even though the certs are b&w.) Luckily, I have that ink on hand so put 4 more cartridges in and it is happy now. The certs are printed, in an envelope, supported by cardboard, and in my computer bag to take to the minister tomorrow. He says he'll sign them during the boring bits of the conference!
MF sent me the final product of the article he wrote and I helped edit. He said the publisher took out 250 words but I'd never see where. The first paragraph was gone so I did see where and the last paragraph was chopped too. The ending is very strong now, perhaps too strong. It does reflect something MF said to me in conversation but did he really want to proclaim that in his column? The softer ending that was chopped was something I supported so perhaps he doesn't care.
Dinner tonight is a chicken stir fry for me and reheated waffles for dh. And fruit, lots of fruit, for dessert. I forgot our guest was bringing pie for dessert at lunch so had bought a lot of berries.

Just (finally) got s2s and went to the cleaners. Boy... it is POURING down rain here. But nothing compared to what people in LadyM's part of the world are experiencing, so I am not complaining -- just giving a weather report.
Finished reading book I was on this afternoon while watching/sort of watching the college softball world series. (We lost. Play again Saturday morning.)
DH was feeling much better w/his back/hip this morning... then brought in a heavy box (carton of Supple, a canned drink that is supposed to help joint health) from post office and has been groaning on the heating pad all day. That's kinda ironic, isn't it?

He's getting s2s now and I guess we'll go eat supper somewhere... and then... I don't know if I'll thrive or not for the rest of the day.

Spent all day in bed yesterday until Wayne got home. Went to the hospital in an ambulance and found out that I have Acute Vertigo. I have a prescription to be filled.
Spent the day today with both cell phones within easy reach, tried not to bend down too much and had a marvelous 4 hour nap.
Any suggestions on how to deal with this?

Definitely Thrived today.
This morning I focused on doing daily and a few weekly cards. The house looked great and everything was ready by noon. We had 16 here to sing Happy Birthday to DGD4. She was THRILLED. DD said this was the first time DGD4 had a birthday party. After singing and candle blowing, we ate lunch (hot dogs) and birthday cake. Then the kids went swimming. The sun was shining bright but the pool water was in the low 70 degrees so about 30 minutes and everyone was ready to get out. DD thanked me multiple times for the party.
This afternoon I took LO to baseball camp. While there the sky went from sunny to extremely dark. And the rain started pouring about 20 miles from us. In the last four hours the rains are causing MANY MANY MANY places to flood. The storm is stationary over the closest big town and just keeps dumping rain at about 2" an hour. It is so sad to watch on local TV station. Police and firemen are doing water rescue as people are washed off the road and/or had to climb to the roof of their home. Once again all the roads between us and the hospitals are flooded and closed (including the Interstate) so we are back to driving 75 miles (one way) if we need medical care. The flooding is much worse this time than it was a few days ago. The people who had started clean up from the last flood are now flooded again.
My phone has emergency alarm going off about every 5 minutes. This is what they are saying " NOW UNDER A *FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY* MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND NOW. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND LIFE THREATENING SITUATION. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL UNLESS YOU ARE FLEEING AN AREA SUBJECT TO FLOODING OR UNDER AN EVACUATION ORDER."
Really trying to remain thankful for the drought being broke.
