I feel that my energy is pretty good today, but OTOH, it's almost 12:30 here and I just got dressed. I am heading on out to the grocery store.

My payroll computer is s ... o ... ... s ... l ... o ... w. I had to restart and it took long enough for me to collect and take papers to recycle, put moisturizing cream on my hands, and go to the breakroom and make tea. When I came back, it wasn't done yet! Yeesh.

Your point? That's pretty common for me, and I think Lucylee has the same issues. I figure, as long as I get dressed at some point during the day, and definitely before I go out, it's a good day!

I'm still amazed I managed to get s2s each day before 7 over Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Nice to know I can do it when I have to!

Dh answered some business finance questions for me and then put up the paintings he needed my advice on. All the ones we framed from Surfer Dude's grandfather are now up. There's at least one in every room in the apartment.

Forcing myself along today. DH says he feels the same on a Monday morning. Whenever I sit down I fall asleep!

Fielding phone calls. Wrote a statement and got that faxed out. Helped DH as he put in the new master cylinder...and I helped bleed the brakes - up, down, up, down- at least that was successful. Folded a LOL. Washed dishes. Had breakfast and vitamins/meds. I have a form to fill out and fax next.

I must get dressed when I get up because I never know who's going to show up at the door. Also don't like to appear a lazy-bones if DH comes by...when he's working so hard...and there I am lounging around. Still, I'm usually in slippers till much later.

Blessed, you seem to be on a roll. Send some of your energy my way..

Good afternoon! I have heard thunder off and on all afternoon, it has been quite cloudy here most of the day.

BookSaver, I'm so sorry to hear about your dmil.

Kathryn, wonderful news for your ds! I hope your wrist is feeling better.

Harriet and Lucy, thanks for the nice words for dgd18 and dgd13! I am so proud of them.

Blessed, sounds like a good family reunion time.

Twins, good work on the night run/walk. Maybe that was the nudge you need to get back into your healthy routine. I know I need a nudge; I haven't posted on MFP since the beginning of the year --- sigh!

Harmony, nice to see you here. Hope your computer issues are over. You have been my inspiration today! Thank you! ;) I decided to move my office stuff from the small bedroom to the family/sewing room. I took the desktop computer out and emptied the whole cabinet, put the big laptop inside and will use the small shelves for office supplies, etc. I think the open shelf on top I will put my notebooks.

I have also started some laundry, must move that to the dryer now.

Hello to everyone!

Yep -- guilty as charged here!

I am s2s now, however, (2:39 pm) and have already
* done morning stretches, straightened the bed
* done morning Bible reading
* talked to ds on the phone
* s/s master bath
* done errands
-- post office
-- drug store, which will require return tomorrow for rx they had to order
-- court house, which will require return tomorrow b/c they were closed today -- don't know why
* called newspaper office b/c they didn't deliver our paper today
* waiting on dh to s2s so we can do our Wmart run

I do hate to look lazy IF someone drops by in the a.m. hours -- but OTOH, it is extremely seldom that anyone drops by unexpected around here.

I wanted to return to yesterday's discussion of high-strung, grumpy men. At least, I was discussing these kinds of men. ;)
Y'all know something that will make a grumpy man even MORE unhappy?
When he finds out that you, the driver, left the radio set where it was draining the battery while you both sat there listening to a college baseball game in the fast food parking lot... yeah... and then when you try to start the car, it's a no-go. :oops:
AND he will be even grumpier when a monsoon starts at the same time! :shock:
Luckily, he WAS able to get his window rolled up. I had mine rolled up within about an inch of the top. :roll:
FORTUNATELY, I had remembered my ddad's wise advise: "It's always a good idea to carry a light jacket." So I used my jacket to make a sort of tent over myself and deflect the rain from the car seat. :roll:
THANK THE GOOD LORD'S MERCIES FOR AAA.
Man came and jumped us off and all was well that ended well.
We went on and saw San Andreas after all this little adventure was over.

And then when we got home, I discovered that my phone charger cord is about to die on me. I swear, we are afraid to touch anything mechanical around here.

Successfully made it to the bank, the post office (right next door) and got some groceries. Made 4 phone calls (2 lawyers and a credit card call to give them the heads up that 2 large payments were coming through. UGH!!

2nd pill for the vertigo was taken. Dinner is in the oven.

Cat box still needs to be done. But they have wet and dry food to eat.

Laundry hasn't been touched in over a week.
