I am taking a break. Not because I need one, I just finished lunch. But because my computer is giving me grief. Both MS Word and Visual Studio are hung. At least I had saved everything. I have fixed two bugs today.
Harmony: This friend and I go back 30 years. We got along famously until she decided that everyone needed to enjoy chickens and that I should be friends with the x and the other woman. Now, she is quite aggravating. Not sure exactly what to do, but I have not been going out of my way to see her. She just is not rational on those two subjects.

I've gotten lasagne put together and then went with ds to his appt. We dropped off his engineer certification packet at the post office in the mail. When we got back, I had a little downtime then dd and spray painted the table and chairs outside. Chairs look pretty good - we couldn't get to all the bottom of the table so we are going to put it on blocks for the next round, either later or in the a.m.
I need to be at temple at 5:30 for a meeting. Before I leave:
-empty dishwasher and reload (this is being done every day now - before I can even empty it there's stuff sitting around...)
-work on clearing kitchen table of lots of stuff
-clear kitchen counters again
-start a load of towels and fold a lol
-call dfriends re: dinner on THurs or Sat night?, dd's friend re: dinner on Sunday night

I got a late start this morning also. Woke up extra early, but after a quick breakfast couldn't keep my eyes open and napped for another hour. Since then I've been going through my clothes, getting them ready to pack. A few need some pressing first. Dh is done with his packing --- toss his clothes in the suitcase and lock it up is what he does. So anything of his that needs pressed I will do after we get there.
We went shopping yesterday and we both bought shoes. Not one of my favorite things to shop for; so many of the shoe styles don't fit right! We also pick up a smaller carry-on case as dh's rolling duffle bag is just two inches too big. We have used this bag on all the other flights we've made, but I didn't want to take a chance on having to leave it behind as that is what he puts his rx meds in. Ddil-Y called later to say she has one we can use, so we will return the new one to the store when we get home again.
I still have more to-dos to check off. Tomorrow will be desk day and I will do the weekly cleaning also. I want the house clean when we get home and also for ds#2-J as he will be staying here at night to take care of ddogs for us. We also will do some last minute grocery shopping to make sure there is enough food for ds while he is here.
Ds is here now.....

Blessedw2 - YGG!! I love that subject too. I can easily *get lost* for hours while learning new mapping technology.
Spent several hours alone in town at dentist appt, walking through HLobby and Sam's. Now it is back to my real life.
We are about to leave for a 60 mile drive for LO's TBall game. He will be playing in bright sunshine & high 90's. Lots of water and ice is necessary!

I finally have my laptop hooked up and am able to post for the first time in days. I'll have to cuop between today and tomorrow. It was a pretty good trip. It intense storm for about 10 minutes in GA that was white knuckle driving. Going through Richmond, VA a couch fell off the back of a truck in the driving lane. Hope police got it picked up before there was a serious accident. Going up Rte. 322 in PA a car went flying by and weaving in and out of traffic. Almost expected to find him wrecked, but a bit down the road a police car came down a ramp with lights & siren going. Figured there was an accident up ahead -notta. Probably 2-3 miles up the road he had that car pulled over. JUSTICE! And hopefully kept him from causing a horrendous accident.
Got here about 11:30 Sunday morning. Internet didn't get set up until late Monday. Think it's working okay at this point. About $55 less a month than the local cable company. Like that.
Yesterday I was just so tired. I'd work about 4 minutes and then rest for a bit and then back to a short time of work. Got a LOT done today. Been washing down everything as I come to it. We had a terrific mouse problem this winter. Wish I knew how to keep them out. Of course it was a very vicious winter.
Dh got dd's water hooked up when dgs15 shouted, "Grandpa! We have a flood in here!". Seems her filter under the kitchen sink had cracked over the winter. She used every towel she had. She had them 'drying' on the picnic table but finally washed them all yesterday. Dh molly rigged a new pipe (he thought he had parts that he didn't) and all seems to be okay. She really doesn't need the filter here. She is ready to park on a permanent site though if they can afford it in the future.
She's had no word on gd15 since we left so we're just waiting to see where things go from here.
I'll try to cuop and then hopefully address posts.

Got my service written before noon which was good because ds showed up for a visit.
We chatted for a bit and then I made myself a quick lunch before we all headed off to see the movie Spy. It was laugh out loud funny but lots of bad language (and gore but I shut my eyes for that.)
Got home and made the final comments on MF's first column. Made fish and chips for dinner and am now going to go for a walk with dh. I need 5K more steps today so it will be a long walk. Probably along the river.
Yay! Dee is back online. Welcome back!
