Kinda frazzled around here... contractor and helper are working on the (plywood) floor in upstairs of garage, but they seem to think ds can handle installing the laminate flooring later... so we shall see. DS only has Sun-Tu to work on this before the 4th, and we have asked the pool table man to come the week after the 4th. Flooring has to be finished before he puts the pool table up there. Of course, we are still going to be amazed if he can actually accomplish that.

DH is frazzled b/c he just does not feel well... and will NOT go to the doctor. (I suspect maybe a bladder infection... but who knows?)
Tomorrow is another day.

Hello!

It is good to be home again. I love traveling and visiting family, and don't like to leave them, but when it is time to come home I can't wait to get here! Our plane was almost an hour delayed in leaving because it was delayed leaving FL due to storms near the FL/GA border. Ds-J and ddil-Y met us at the airport and brought us home about 8:30 pm. Our ddogs were happy to see us again! We made a quick sandwich for a late supper and were in bed by 10 pm.

I'm sorry for those who have been feeling frazzled lately! I'm not feeling frazzled, but feeling a kind of let-down from the last two weeks of busyness! It will take a few days to get used to being just the two of us here -- I love being with dfamily and enjoy interacting with dgd17 and dgs13.

This morning when dh and I were having breakfast I told him I was taking the day off to just relax. But after a while I decided to empty my suitcase which led to putting my clean clothes away. Now I just have a few odds 'n ends like shampoo, toothbrush etc. to put away. I do have a pile of mail to go through; at first glance it looks like a lot of junk mail. The house looks pretty good. Ds-J watered the house plants and the porch planter; he said we had lots of rain these two weeks. I will do the mopping and sweeping tomorrow, so I'm right on schedule with weekly cleaning!

Dh just told me he's going to W-M for some groceries as our fridge is empty and we also need dogfood. So I think I'll run the vacuum while he's gone! But first....I will enter my breakfast and lunch on MFP.

Hello again everyone! I have made some report changes/improvements and made a MASSIVE increase in efficiency in a database query. Who wrote that awful prior version? Oh wait, it was me. I also gave a ride to a coworker to the train station. He had planned on taking the bus, which never showed. This was good because I needed to talk to him about a project we and a few others are going to be working. Migraine in progress. Bleah.

Home from having lunch with DGS18, shopping trip to Sam's, hospital for stress test and then stopped at local grocery store for a few things that isn't available at Sam's. I did a BAD THING at the grocery store. I bought a bag of potato chips. I am a CHIP-O-HOLIC and can easily eat the whole bag. I am feeling greatly relieve to be done with the tests and had a weak moment while walking past the chip aisle. Eating chips is NOT a healthy way to celebrate. I plan on eating a few more chips and then stomping on the rest and dumping them into the outside trash receptacle.

Just had fella I didn't recognize come to the door. I answered and it was fella from American Legion needing to know our address. He had just left MPB where DH had paid the fella to put flag up in our yard at appropriate holidays. However, the fella forgot to ask DH what our address was so he stopped by our home to ask. He knew we bought the Lewis house so he knew the location, but he didn't know the 911 address for their form. Small town ways .....your home is identified with who built or owned it rather than an address.

DMIL is in ER being treated for UTI. They are giving her some strong antibodies in IV now and plan to send her home in a few hours. DH is staying in contact with his brother & sister. His sister is staying with DMIL and said there is no reason for "the guys" to come sit in the waiting room (only 1 visitor allowed to stand next to ER bed).

I just checked schedule and see I have an hour before taking LO to a friends birthday party. I need to pull of the gift stash box and let LO pick a gift to wrap. I haven't counted but I think there is only a couple gifts left. LO has 2 birthday parties to attend tomorrow so I need to restock the gift stash with kids watches (the gift everyone is getting this year).

Three Birthday gifts selected and dropped into gift bags. (sorry Harriet!)

RR - LOL!! Love the visual I got from that. Potato chips are out of the house and now located in the bottom of a dirty trash can.

A very small serving of potato chips comes on the plate with my sandwich at the bagel shop. It has made it easier to walk down the chip aisle these day. I get some, but not too many.

I had a brief rest.

Easy dinner of leftovers tonight. But will have to get out for a walk after dinner to reduce the calorie deficit.

Clean sheets on the bed
Two additional loads of laundry done
S/S two baths
Cleaned dh's shower
Colored hair
Spent time at splash pad w/dgs, ds,ddil
Went to CVS
Went to Subway for supper
Talked to dmom

Now... Even MORE frazzled. Fighting nervous anxiety bc dmom talks like she might actually make the trip with us tomorrow to see ds's band...
Sheesh... 6 of us (including dgs) in the Tahoe means either ds or I will be the one in that crowded third row seat... IF dh feels like going... (Which also mskes me nervous bc he will expect me to go without him if he doesnt feel better tomorrow). And I worry about how dmom's back/etc will hold out... At least 3 hr round-trip, plus 3 hours+ at the show...
So... Just nervous tonight.
Tomorrow is another day.
