I forgot to say that I will try the 30 day declutter challenge in July. I won't do it perfectly as I have a lot going on in July: Ds will be home next weekend, we're hosting guests the next (long) weekend, going camping in Canada with our small group, and getting ready for and then leaving for Iceland. Also, I'll help a bit with our church youth group's annual trip to our inner-city Detroit sister church.

OK, I'm really going to s2s now. It's already time for lunch! How did that happen?

I'm with helia still needing to s2s. Still "talking" to dd re: travel in Israel and other travel. I'm glad she has a bit of travel fever but worry about her safety.

I have s2s-ed now, Twins. How about you? I de-forested my legs while I was at it. I'm now finishing some lunch.

Does dd have friends to travel with, Twins? What a wonderful experience for her! Hmm.... I would personally prefer Europe to Russia, but that is because I know Europe much better. Europe might be more pricey? Russia would probably be more exotic!

It will be time for our family to visit dh's side of the family again next summer, and dh is already making noise about wanting to go to Israel en route to Europe, so I may be fishing for recommendations in a few months. . . . Dh has been to Israel several times. There is a lot of high tech activity in his field in the Tel Aviv and Haifa areas? In fact, he has also talked about going there on our next sabbatical. When he was in the corporate world, he worked with a group in Israel and went there regularly, and sometimes the Israeli employees would come to the US to work more locally with dh's group.

OK, I'm off to check on laundry, do teeth care, and get out the door to the groc. store.

Yes, helia, I s2s-ed and also shaved the legs. The leg hair I have is somewhat sparse and mostly light, but there are a couple of areas that come in darker so I do the complete shave.

Dd is hoping to travel in Israel with a friend from this dig I think. She is having difficulty asking our Israeli friends to put her up - she wants to be independent and doesn't like asking for help. I don't think she has any firm ideas where she would like to go right now. Russia would be quite exotic, she would like to go to Moghilev, which is where dh's ancestors identified from. Traveling would be wonderful for her self confidence. It also depends on whether she can change her flight out of Israel to a later departure.

I rebooted my computer and did a virus scan.

Rest of day:
-stamping time
-go by the place that cleaned up dd's car and pay them - the guy there on Sat couldn't get the credit card machine to work
-reschedule mom's appt for eye exam tomorrow, because I had to schedule an appt with primary care physical tomorrow
-follow through on laundry and routines

Posting from the car.

Quicken has been updated with our spending and three credit card accounts have been reconciled.

We are nearly to the train station which is excellent. The sun is coming in on me, I'm in the back seat (more room to spread out papers) and the a/c isn't quite getting to me so I'm starting to feel car sick from trying to read the screen in the bright light and working with detailed lists of numbers.

Dd is traveling with us and received news while we drove along. Was glad dh and I were there to offer hugs.

She and I have been comparing notes on eating higher protein. She's doing it for fertility reasons, apparently it can improve egg quality. I had chili yesterday so knew it was a good choice. Since I had brought my lunch with me, we stopped at the same restaurant again so she could have some. She's amazed I can eat it - she would have thought it was too spicy for me. Nice to know I'm developing a bit of protection from spicy foods. As dh says, black pepper is too spicy for him so we don't have these things much at home and I don't really like them.

Boy, talk about losing one's routine...
This day is completely out of whack and all I can do is eat...

Last night our Tahoe started kinda slipping/jerking as it was going into gear. Just the first gear, just a little shudder/jerk after coming to a full stop.
Well... this morning it seemed to be running perfectly but I took it to the shop just to make sure... and they did a scan, found some sort of code on it, and they are keeping it. Owner of the shop said he wouldn't want to drive it on a trip if it were him. He said probably when it got hot, (I had driven less than 5 miles when I got to him) the problem would reoccur.
So... now ds has offered to let us drive his truck, and I hate to, but it is our best option. I like driving the truck; it's not that -- just hate putting 500 or so miles on it.

DS finished the flooring in our garage-pool room. He did a great job!

Also... talked to lady at the preschool program. It will be perfect for dgs -- M-Th, 8:00-11:00... BUT... he has to be potty-trained before school starts. So... y'all pray for success in THAT situation!
Tomorrow is another day.

Settled into the hotel.

Finally made contact with my sister. Will meet her at 6:30 at the park.

Dd is leaving us soon to meet up with her friends. We'll see her at the train station after lunch tomorrow.

Afternoon y'all

I'm on a roll today. Up early and on the track at 5:00. Walked 1.8 miles then ran up and down the bleachers a few times. Then swam 6 laps...up and back counts as one...or 300 meters. Came home and worked outside for a while and then started working on the house.

Piddled in the kitchen doing catch up things, watched Perry Mason with Sweetie, threw in a load of wash, and then started on my closet...was just going to do a few things and before I know it I was able to check off 3 things on the 30-Day Declutter Challenge. Went through clothes, all my dresser drawers and organized my shoes. Got a bag going for my Group Home donation center...I must have had 10 pairs of black tights stuck in one of my drawers...now tell me what does a girl in AZ need with all of them LOL Also donated many duplicate t-shirts too.

My reward was computer time....so here I am.

Dinner is planned and later tonight I start up with a new fitness group. Most of the people in it are from my Spartan training group and I am excited to spend time with them. I've been asked to join multiple time, but the group was working outside during the evening and not something my body could handle. Now they have a facility that is indoors so I should be OK. I am really looking forwards to it because the trainer is the head trainer for Extreme Weight Loss and everyone speaks so highly of him.

My week is pretty clear. I am having lunch with a former student and his gf. He is now 21 and they started dating in 8th grade. Haven't seen either one of them for while so it should be fun catching up. I also think I have a hair appointment on Thur....Good thing because I need it.

I have been lost down in the rabbit hole for a while and think I will jump down it tomorrow. I am working on both sides of my son's grandparents on his father's side. Sometimes you discover things that just make you laugh. My Son's g-g grandfather on his grandmothers side went by the initials G.W. I knew his name was George and found out his full name is George Washington W***. Not only that, but his father and grandfather were named the same.

On my son's father's father's side it seems every male for at least 6 generations back all had the same first name...William. And their last name was Smith...and they lived in TN before many official records were kept. Plus the court house in which the records were held burnt down in 1890 destroying every thing. Answers the question of why I was having such a difficult time finding and documenting information.

If you like working puzzles or solving mysteries, then genealogy is for you. Just watch out for that rabbit hole...the suction is fears
