I am s2s, washed hair, did something of a pedicure, (LOL -- I trimmed nails and put a new coat of polish on, but did not remove the old polish, which is a very lazy way to do this, but it is a an almost clear/nude color, so it only adds a little shine and keeps my nails from looking completely un-done. Need to do fingernails, also, but I have removed old polish there, so they're in a better situation.)

Sheets are in the washer.

Clothes laid out for tomorrow.

Hoping for a joke, too, Kathryn, but at least if not, he has done this at a youthful time of life.

I remember when HRH was furious with dbil for buying a bright yellow convertible muscle-car, about as impractical-looking a car as possible, when he had a wife and toddler. HRH was hoping it was a joke, but it wasn't. Dbil had just been complaining about finances. Later we found out it was a well-used vehicle so not nearly as expensive or careless a purchase as we thought, and the car seat fit in the back fine. Little niece (who forbids the top down unless she has a ponytail) has grown up thinking this is how all the cool girls ride with Daddy.

The bathroom looks and smells great. (new shower liner smell??) LOL

I have done one project on the loom. I have a bit if a sore lower back. We are going to celebrate out ann with a meal l out today a bit late but it is cooler here today.

Today's stats... I caught the first fish and Wayne caught one fish after that. So 1 each today and they both got tossed back.

We both got sunburned and we had a picnic, so overall we had fun, but we will pay for it until we slather ourselves in Noxema. (It takes the burning away but not the intense red colour.)

DD and I made a trip to W Mart, Aldi 's, Goodwill store to drop off a small bag and T Horton's for iced capps. Came back and she and I had a light lunch at the pub here. She's wanted to try their chicken wings so got 5 each of 2 different kinds. We shared an order of fried pickles (with dh) and I had a hot dog.

DD and dh have now left for dgs14's race -about 40 miles from here. I'm home alone (she smiles secretly to herself ) as ds-R and family are at a lacrosse tournament in Hershey, PA.

Here's a little tip I learned yesterday. We needed green ribbon to tie bows around some trees, etc to "Go Green for -our town's Lil' Fighter' who passed away this week. He's well known throughout our county -he's battled neuroblastoma for 7 years. But he's continued to play ball and hockey when he could. The memorial service is at one of our city's big ice arena's and they're asking people to wear green or a hockey jersey. But any rate, if you ever need a particular color to tie bows for something -plastic tablecloths from a $ store, cut into strips works wonderfully. And is much cheaper. Earlier this year we all needed purple for another young child, a friend to all of us. We are more than ready to be ALL DONE!! The Mom of this particular boy grew up in our church and her parents still go there so know them on several fronts.

I'm not up to typing any replies so forgive my post...all about me...

Last evening I napped on the couch for a couple hours then got a second wind after I woke. I was bothered by all the work piling up around here while we do all the outside chores... so I worked till 1:30 AM at my desk and did several chores there. Nocturnal here, too, Lucylee! Whole house is basically a wreck with the counters piled up and brooms etc. sitting around, buckets, cleaners, but I'm too weary to tackle this.

I just remembered I put a load of whites in the washer and never got them hung up..sigh..

I ran to the bank (well, drove) and a 2nd bank then gassed up car and came home and began my work outside. Took the screens out of 5 windows that are on the front porch... I washed screens and windows, sprayed the ceiling (aluminum bead-board) and scrubbed 4 chairs and 2 side tables and sprayed them clean. 2 are those cheap plastic ones that look like Adirondack chairs but they have a texture to them and get all black. I find soaking in Kaboom and using magic eraser takes most of that away...but I did them twice and some spots need it some more. Then I scrubbed the floor and hosed.

I'd have been ok if that was all I did, but I started looking at DH's dump truck sitting in driveway just packed with dirt all up underneath from driving in the sod fields. I didn't want that all in the drive as eventually it ends up getting tracked into the garages and from there into the house. So I started scraping parts of the underneath and hosing everything. Took about 2 hours.

'bout all I can possibly do today. Came in and showered and put on nightgown to be comfy. Made a couple sandwiches for supper. I've been watching H gtv's House Hun ter's small houses...thinking...yeah, that's the way to do. Throw everything out and get into less than 600 sq. ft. Not much to clean... and getting a kick out of people looking at them complaining, "well it doesn't have this or that..or I need a bathtub"... I'd have to have a shed just for the office..

Harriet: the more I think about it, the more this has to be a joke. It only seats 2 so he can't take us to the airport (or anywhere), he sleeps in his car when he goes to weekend long Spartan races and won't be able to do that in this one, either. Then there's the whole ski patrol and needing to be able to get to the ski hill in winter storms and then back to the hospital for his shifts (so he can't sleep over at the hill on weekends.) He has no money, only debt so my guess is that he's bought the Xtera he was shopping for and they had the Z3 at the lot and took pictures of him in that so he could play this joke. He is such a sensible young man that I can't see this being his only car (a 20 year old convertible in winter in Ottawa is pushing one's luck and it looks like this one has never seen a winter.) I could also see him buying one when they (i.e. he's married and steady income) need a second vehicle because he's human but for now, this is just not a good fit with his lifestyle and his aspirations.

Dh and I walked over to the pub for fajitas. I forgot my scale but tried to eat what I recalled eating last week. A big part of cutting calories with the meal is to just ask them not to bring the salsa and homemade tortilla chips that come as the appetizer. Dh doesn't have any and I end up eating well over half the plate because I love them so much.

Then we walked on to the grocery store and picked up veggies and salsa for tomorrow's coffee hour. Oops, I forgot to pick up lemonade so I need to go start some from scratch. And I have to make rice krispy squares as the sweet. There should be very few people at church, only 12 last week.

I have whites 2 fold as well K in C. Not going out to dinner h started coughing & feeling unwell. He had soup I did a store run to the deli had pizza pockets.

I have more warp wound off, blue this time for my next project I sm thinking on the big loom for it. I have green to wind off next. But watching a movie w h. Just now.

It is thundering outside now.

Nancy: is your part of the state in desperate need of rain? My cousins are in BC and things are tinder dry there. They've been trying to start a rain dance on Facebook!

Rats, just lost a post. I'm using the iPad so harder to type.

Beach week starts tomorrow and we have been on the road today because dh wants early start. I think he wants to be there before friend who will be w us. Dfriend is leaving early in the am to drive here.

Late frustrating evening last night so I was stressed when dh wanted to leave around noon today.

We stopped off for some shopping along the way.
