this week bathroom duty

Monday January 15 cleaned out and did a lot of tossing from the box I took out dd's bathroom

January 16 cleaned out my and dh's drawers and under sink in bathroom. dejunked a bunch of meds and bottles.

tomorrows cards pulled (here's hoping) done

Powder room:
surface dust and surface rinse walls
washing frames and any decorations
wash trim
wash cabinet front and inside cabinet
wash door
swipe lights
wash combs and brushes
clean towel rack

20 finished washing all the almost empty bottles, got rid of old meds and washed all the combs and brushes except dh's

this week is a hard one for me: desk and papers - which includes the additional photos relative sent.

things I have put off: attorney - changing the names on things.
respond to other letters
family history and d mom's books

Trying to keep my chin up here!

As ya'll know, I've been getting ready for this week (office or other room week) for a good while - more than just the one week of decluttering ahead, which I do try to keep up.

There has been a lot of change, but it is a fight. I wanted to be able to say I got to this date and now simply had clear surfaces to clean. But still organizing is taking up a lot of the time I have to give it to this.

I will pull out the tricks the best I can - I could try a laundry basket to put everything from a surface in, clean that whole piece of furniture's exterior and all above/below, then put everything back!

I have been working on the back of the house on 2 bedrooms. Looking better now. Did extra paper decluttering yesterday bc today was errands.

dd older - the born organized one says paperwork is one of the most draining and hard items to tackle for most people. She said that she has had a lot of people like me who looks at the job as a whole rather than picking one focus. She always said the first separating is the hardest - but it doesn't have to be a hundred piles - lol for me I thought I had to do a pile for insurance, doctors etc. right away. . she had me separate things into personal, business/bills/other and then work on only one area at a time. It really helped.

She is going to help me with my photo problem - she smiles at me like I am a poor soul lol - always kind- because she sees that my brain is looking at it all. She keeps telling me the Modern Family quote - because my family thinks I am Cam - she always says you think big.. but need to whittle down.
So every so often she will say "think big but whittle down" lol

so far I have written family with a family recipe and a couple photos. It was a must.

got most of the upstairs hall closet emptied.

It was to cold to think about porch entry areas till now so I have been giving them a go did some heave ho to cluttery areas and have a bit more to do on the steps by the kitchen. But the other 2 doors are better now yippie for progress. I have done some picking up after winds blew thru last nite as well.
