This morning went smoothly.

I am taking a break with my feet up before starting on the 2nd half of my day.

Taking a break here, too, LadyM.

I just turned on the TV to follow the Masters a bit, partly to have a better idea when dh will be home. They have a four hour or so drive back to here when they leave, and their intent was to stay to the end today. I think it was yesterday morning dh checked in last.

I finished upstairs so it's ready. Assuming they get back here tonight, our friend that's with him will spend the night before going home in the morning.

I had lunch and s2s-ed.

We've had some musical chairs of puppy sitting. Puppy and I actually watched my morning prayer video for today together at dd42's house until dd23 arrived. I took 4 pages of notes!!! lol. It's usually Tobias who sits with me and observes my pen with sleepy eyes. Puppy thought I was playing.

Dd23 is absolute about putting the puppy into her harness, not just a collar, to go outside and it is sooooo much easier. She prances like a show pony rather than lunging against the collar.

She brought us takeout from a rather nice place.

We picked up yesterday's mail and were surprised to find HRH had two checks from BCBS (insurance before we turned 65) from May of 2018. :o A total of almost 600 $ reimbursement. Puzzling and worrying that we might have someone else's checks? He was amazed, however, that I came to him later with an exact explanation of a CT scan and an xray, and that both had found nothing, how we felt about it as misdiagnosis plus omission of a script. It had simply dawned on me that I would have been telling this to you guys at the time, with thoughts of the concern and thoughts of the joy later, and sure enough, the dates of service took me to the answers here.

Along with that, what was happening at the time was so much insult and worry at our church and I reported to HRH that I'd run across how ya'll had "listened" to me with that, too. Sobering. Anyway, ya'll have really been getting good press in our house today and you didn't even do anything, lol.

Kudos to us then, Harriet! YAY on the long 'lost' check that you didn't even know was lost. Those are the best kind!
I hope some day I can offer some wisdom or reassurance or encouragement to someone who needs it. What would I do without you all.
And Lucylee, you don't even realize how many times over the years that we have gleaned wisdom AND reassurance AND encouragement from YOU! And we all could say the same: "What would I do without you all?"

Took a short snooze this afternoon. Think I needed as I think I was on the short end of needed sleep for the week.

Have a LOL -dark clothes- in the washer. The hamper filled up with some of dh's clothes I know he won't be wearing (such as night clothes) till November and with DS-R being here. The other side of the hamper is full as well but I'll wait until tomorrow for that one.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

I am not making much headway on things I need to do. My time has been spent on kid care and DH/DMIL91 support before I gave up on being productive and took myself to the garden.

Happy news - I harvested the very first strawberry of the year! I expect to be daily harvesting asparagus, strawberry and Pak choi. They aren't producing massive amounts but enough for me to pick daily. I eat raw while I'm still in the garden.

DH has been with his DMom all afternoon.
DD10 has been at the farm for the past 2 hours. I'm about to go get her so she can change into dressy clothes for tonight.
DS13 has been riding bikes at the jumps with 2 friends. He had to come home once to change clothes because he took a tumble over the handbars of his bike and ended up in a mud puddle. We had to spray his clothes off outside to remove most of the mud so they can be washed.

All community church service is tonight at our church. A couple times a year all the different religions come together to worship. They rotate through the different churches each time. It is our church turn to host the community event. DD10 will be onstage in a short play tonight.

DH called and they are on their way home - of course it's a four hour trip. I was surprised they didn't stay until the end, but he said they are just worn out.

I worked on genealogy things a bit but it's so hard downstairs with only one monitor. I'm spoiled up there.

lucylee, as Dee said, it's just the opposite IMO today. It was you back in that month in J and C who waded into my sadness and more fully explained the SB stuff that was contentious at that infamous time. It was part of the ugly defensiveness I was dealing with at church then, but I hadn't been in that loop and really didn't know, so you gave me some background. A week after we were posting, btw, more info came out and the discipline for the person you mentioned changed to being royally fired in disgrace, but most people didn't know for a while. I didn't know it was so close in time until today, when the dates of our posts started looking familiar to me. You were prophetic, actually.

I put plants back outside since frost danger is past. Recycling done.

Planning the upcoming week, I'll get dd23 to trim my hair while she's in the neighborhood,
and it will be Desk Day tomorrow.
