Homeschool assignments are done.
I am having a low energy day, so I took myself to the garden again. I watered and harvested bell peppers, pepperoncini peppers, tomatoes, and sweet potatoes. I pulled a big mound of sweet potato vines and have them ready to put through the mower mulcher after they dry a bit. I also yanked errant tomato vines off and threw them in a pile to be mulched with mower later. I noticed what flowers did well through the 60+ days of triple digit heat - Lantanas, multiple varieties of dianthus, marigolds, mums, sedum, dahlias, salvia and begonias.
Later today I will be assisting with cooking and serving supper at church and then keeping the littles in nursery. I am going to put my feet up and hopefully regain my energy level.

Going to try making air fryer baked potatoes for dinner. Have potatoes, sour cream, butter, cheese - and now to figure something else for topping. Corn? Any other suggestions? I do know I need to venture out with my cooking and make some different things for us.
Dfriend just called and asked us over (here at campground) for dinner Saturday night. Asked what I wanted -so I just said anything that's not terribly 'chewy'. Hate to be picky but no sense in ordering steak or like when I really can't eat it. After talking with my lawyers today I'm encouraged that perhaps we'll get some sort of settlement. Said that in talking with their rep that he had "some money authority". Of course he wouldn't tell them what that is so it's a guessing game. He figures I have $24,000 in medical costs -no wonder I'm having a bit of trouble making those ends meet. I also put us on a payment plan for what we owe the hospital for dh's stay there June/July. Have another hospital visit coming up soon, September 9th for his scope. So bills will only keep climbing. But I have faith that we will be supplied with what we need.

Gosh… I’m having a low energy LIFE, I guess. I just want to sleep and play games on my phone. I think I am still dealing with some depression… mind running away with me and had some tears last night. I know it’s partly dealing with dh and his pain and perpetual bad mood. He can’t help it, but it’s hard not to let it affect me.
He does want to go to church tonight, so that’s good.

Re: Wednesday PWYC
We have friends coming over this evening. They are remodeling their entire first floor and turning what used to be their formal and DR into a large eat in kitchen. Their former LR, which was rarely used, will be the new formal DR. I'm hoping she will help me figure out a new light fixtures for the "kitchen table" part of my kitchen.
DH kept suggesting we go out to eat, but I told him that the guys can go out and pick up dinner. I want to have time to visit and most restaurants are noisy!

Hi! Don't know how the day got away from me but it did. At least I got that last pillow case sewed. Think about sewing a tube on top of another tube but the one tube has to go inside the other tube and the outer one is longer. Haha, something like that. After I finished this one (the 4th) I decided I was very happy not to have to sew these every day.
LadyM, I thought about making cases for gifts. With the price of fabric these days, might be cheaper to buy them and a whole lot less work. I did think about making a pretty small one to fit my travel size pillows which I use every night. Those cases only come in plain white. I have a nice flowered one that might look pretty. Think it's probably easier to make a whole case from scratch than to put a new hem on one to lengthen, that was a bugger to do.
Talked with DD and caught up on family news. Two of her kids (my DGSons) have Covid. One was in the process of moving when it hit and was planning to stay for a couple days with a friend until his new place was available, so when he came down with Covid he couldn't do that. Ended up staying 2 days in a hotel. Poor guy.
RRose, glad you are pleased with your DMother's caretaker. Good to have you back.

RR - this is the best news! Welcome homeMy mom's caretaker is divine and taking amazing care of my mom.
Church was good. DH has been asked to be a deacon and accepted. They will be holding ordination in a month or so. I had 5 littles in the nursery for a bit but after diaper changes and nursing then the 2 babies went with their Moms to regular classes. That left me with 3 one year olds and they are easy to take care of.
DS14 found someone to repair the locked-up motor. He loaded the dirt bike in the back of his pickup and DH is riding with him to deliver it now.
