It’s pouring rain and my bet is Harmony’s getting it as well. Suppose to be a soaker off and on all day. Meanwhile it’s a great day for reading and watching football

Break time for me.

I've harvested garden vegetables and processed them. I have eight servings of cooked vegetables for the freezer. While the vegetables were cooking on top of the stovetop, I made meatloaf and potatoes in the instant pot.

DS14 has made 3 trips home (with an adult) to get our vehicles and take them to get washed at the fundraiser.

DD46 did get DD11 to spend the day with her. DD11 will be back here either this evening or early in the morning.

DH took prescription medicine to DMIL home and got it organized for her. Then he delivered DMIL to the hair stylist.

Yeah, our breakfast was our Primetimer's group (55+) at church. Since it was 8:30 in the morning we only had about 30 people. Usually we have more. We do something every month. Next month will be some sort of autumn festival and we're all supposed to bring some kind of fall dessert. Anyone have any ideas for me? Something with pumpkin or apples maybe but it has to be good! My fruit salad is always a hit and I brought little plastic cups and I saw everybody filled one to eat. Mine had cantaloupe, oranges, watermellon, green grapes, and strawberries. The peaches in the store were rock hard or I'd have put some in there.

We had a long rain. This past week is the most rain we've had all summer. There was a LOT of thunder and lightning very close by. The storm we had a few days ago knocked out our electric, just one circuit in our box that I had to reset. That storm was bad. Lightning very close right overhead. It is bright and sunny but still raining again. Doesn't look like I'll be painting any more today. Our state has been very wet. This rain came up from RRose's direction.

I should look at my desk things, there's a bill to pay and filing. I'm cold and tired, tempted to go back to bed. I guess I'll get another coffee and see if that helps.

Harmony… most interesting day…

First it thunders, then it pours then the sun comes out and then it rains with the sun shining. Then it’s sunny and the thunder starts up again. Repeat, repeat, repeat!

Our wicked storm was a few days ago with lightning strikes happening less than 1/2 mile from me. Hit the club house and then the building next to it and then one of the light pole in the parking lot.

I could tell the storm was bad and expected to wake finding some trees were down. Instead the lighting chose to hit those above mentioned buildings. We live in a gated community and the lightning strikes cause havoc with our gates. Our is cards that we use to open the gates were useless for several days.

Lucylee should be happy at the moment because the other AL team is loosing

Wish I had a sewing machine so I could sew, Nancy. Have a pair of jeans that I need to hem. Kept an old video that Harriet posted eons ago, but I still would need to do them by hand. I do need to get at them very soon. My old jeans are getting way past their prime and fall weather is fast descending.

I've seen over the past weeks, Harmony, how very much rain/lightning you've all had down there. I'm sure you're all ready for it to dry out some. Only good thing is there's no fire danger -well except for the lightning.

Dh and I went to watch DGS10's hockey game. Went to gas on the way home. It was $3.49 at B J 's. Where we usually get it with a membership card it's $4.09. It was almost like a breath of fresh air paying under $4/gallon. Think it's the least we've paid since dh came north. Going to look in a few minutes when I put this new receipt in the computer.

Went to 2 yd. sales, local market, & veg. stand had a fun morning.
Made deviled eggs yea they turned out this week!
Did some crocheting I now have 6 granny squares!
Cooked up some sausage to go on spaghetti squash for dinner.
Reclaiming some time each week as I no longer have to watch sports here!
That is like 8 hrs. of time! Yea!
Planning journals & qt done.
Caught up on uk happenings for now.
Processed mail.
I did some adulting this past week.

finished an hour of weeding
played ball with the dogs
dd older is making steak w compound butter - I am not a big beef person but am happy she likes cooking.

It’s overcast and humid here, but no rain yet. Our kickoff is in about 45 minutes.

I was not very productive upstairs working on genealogy. I saw dfriend M go by walking late in the afternoon and went out and walked around the circle with her. She says she's not very productive right now either - has been cleaning garage and doing fall "nesting." She came back for wine here on the porch, then her dh came up for wine and to see the new kitchen. Dh got home around 5:30ish and visited a little. He is asleep in his chair now, as I grill chicken and corn on the cob.

I'm half watching the TN football game. Dh had left the sound down so I hate to change it while he's asleep.

I don't think I posted that I worked on filing some yesterday. I'm still trying to deal with fallout of kitchen/pantry. MBR now has filing cabinet still in middle of floor, and printer too. I need to find home for things. Dh has focused on kitchen and garage and doesn't see other stuff, I suspect. Once it sits a few days, it becomes invisible.

Harmony, not sure I could have been somewhere at 8:30 this a.m. I think I was up then with an alarm, but napped another hour in the afternoon.

Lucylee, good luck with your game, I assume you'll go home tomorrow?

bw2, would be heaven to have someone else cooking here! It's so nice your dd will cook for you. Does she do clean up also?

Nancy, you sound good, like you are thriving these days. Yard sales, local market and veggie stands, crocheting. Did you sew too?

Dee, it's good you and dh got our for the hockey game. I've seen gas here under $2.99 in a couple of places.
