I’m like Harmony, no internet but I can post here, but this is the first time today.

LadyM… I’m with everyone else. This is a stressful time no matter how well things have been planned. Know your dmil is looking down on you and is pleased to see what a dear heart you are. Hugs to y’all m

Harmony … I’m with you, I’ve spent a good part of my day raking up leaves and messes. We do have water but I am still boiling water to wash dishes. Thankfully my tub is still half full so I can heat up water so we can wash. I haven’t taken a shower here but may do so later today. I’ve been working outside for most of the day trimming dead branches off of plants and trees, so I am covered with sweat. My pool has been cleaned and the pump is running and we’ve added chlorine so perhaps I’ll just swim.

Yesterday we stopped at the grocery store before we got home. I bought normal stuff to restock my refrigerator and one package of chicken and it cost me $200. The house was in good condition and I’m sure Fred the Fish was glad to be fed.

The library at our club house was open yesterday so I found 4 books to donate and took 4 home to read. My kindle doesn’t work without internet. I can live without the tv, but am lost without books to read. I did 6 loads of laundry yesterday and was able to get most of my home back in order.

However my home stunk every time I came into it this morning and finally figured out it was from my kitchen rugs. When my refrigerator defrosted itself the water ran out on my floor and the rugs soaked up all the water, so I washed them today. One of the reasons I bought them in the first place was because I could wash them in my washing machine.

I don’t know about Harmony, but some of the survival stories from this storm are both amazing and scary. People didn’t heed the warnings and many people were washed away right out of their homes. People were jumping out of their second story windows to swim to their neighbors home because theirs were collapsing. Two women who were best friends tried to wait out the storm, but when the water came through their second story window they decided to swim to another house.’ Problem was the womens best friend couldn’t swim very well and thought the women tried her best to keep her friend safe the current pulled them apart. The women was sucked under her home but some how was able to survive. However her best friend drowned. This is only one of the many stories I keep hearing about.

dd younger has been saying the helicopters are looking for bodies along the shoreline - even at night. so so sad.

hello d dee my mom is -- she doesn't have itching from eliquis - I would check with the doctor. dd younger has an immune disorder where she suddenly becomes allergic to things she has never been allergic to b before - sounds like an allergic reaction.
it's bittersweet for him I am sure - it's good that he can see that it might be hard on his body!

The stories coming out of Ian are no less than amazing, RR. Some sad, some miraculous no doubt!

Dh is snoozing until it's time for him to go to a Churchville Fire Dept appreciation dinner put on by one of the churches in town. Last night we went to that birthday party and this tonight. He's happy that he can now eat again and things are beginning to tempt his taste buds a little bit. Has a ways to go though.

One of the campers here just stopped by to give dh a $40 tip. Appreciated without a doubt.

DS-R stopped a little while ago after coming to mow his lawn. I thought they'd already gone to Hershey but I guess that's happening Monday. With it being a holiday I'm almost surprised that they'll be able to close on their new RV.

Crock pots are all off and cooling now.
I need a diff. plan for the shredded pork too much corn syrup in the Arby's one I was going to use low sug. katsup & vinegar will be a base for it.

Chicken need to come out of the broth in a bit.
Veg. can be added later on.

So glad I have started with this and have some in the freezer.

Walked to the corner with the ddog to think a bit.

Can't really post, keep losing stuff because it too slow. But we got electric tonight. Lots of work to do to get back to normal. Still have no internet or landline though. See ya later.
